Yea this was before PI now I have a PI longblock and I really don't like how it sounds. It got waaay raspy/hollow/LOUD. It's all good tho. I'm going to be getting long tubes and cats

wow in that vid you didn't have the PI heads and you got that sound out of a 96-98 4.6l not bad. those always sounded a bit quiter to me than a 5.0l or the PI 4.6l

I definitely agree that high flow cat's would make it sound perfect. I'm going to be installing some SLP Longtubes with a short catted x by summer then I'll put up a new video.

I'm not by any means hating on it, but I agree, high flow cats would do wonders for this setup. I love loud setups like this, but it gets to a point where it sounds echo-ish, with far too much rasp, and it turns to a plain sound. Such as my Camaro, LOL.

It's hard for me to listen to all the badass Stangs cruising around & on Youtube, because I'm both a Ford & GM guy, that favors GM, but the sound of Modulars is just incredible. Like nothing else.

Thanks sickdemon209. Mods on the car in the video include: Steeda UDPs, BBK CAI, BBK 70mm T/B, BBK Plenum, Diablo Predator, BBK o/r X-pipe, SLP LM1s, 3:73 Gears, Eibach Pro-kit, Tokico HPs, MM CC plates.

Currently the 98 nPI motor has been swapped for an 03 GT motor, and H&R SS Springs give it more of a drop and stiffer ride.

@seanakira dude get some 30mm spacers for the rear. I did. Im sitting on some eibach sportline 2'' drop springs on 18'' cobra wheels. but the spacers gave the car an aggressively mean macho look lol. No lie look it up

Actually, all the time. I get pulled over about once every month or two. But I think it's the combination of loud exhaust, tinted windows, no front plate, lowered etc. My friend has an o/r X with flowmaster 40s (almost just as loud), but stock everything else and doesn't get pulled over

Awesome. Love stangs and agree with u about the SLPs bein a little too loud for local cops. I have an 02 f150 and just got my exhaust completely redone. I went with SLPs cuz everybody else around here is running flowmasters (which I had on the truck before). LOUD! Nice stang

A lot of people hate slps on mustangs. What the hell? I think they sound fuckin' great. Ive got the lm1's on my 90 gt and gonna get some more on my 98. The cobra r 2000's look sweet too.... You have a drop on it? Looks like you lowered it but cant really tell.

Thanks man. I didn't like the sound of it at first, but got use to it. I'm going to put a catted x-pipe on it for emissions and to quiet it down a little. In this video I have Eibach Pro-kit springs which are trash as far as track handling. Now I have H&R SS which are much better and lower. Oh and as an update to previous comments, I now have an 03 P.I. long block.
