To elaborate, handicapped (from birth) children are no contribution to society, and rather a waste of money. If the handicap develops further in life, they've had time to understand life beforehand, and how to deal with it. They can still come out to be successful in this case. Occasionally. Putting a price on a human no matter how inferior they maybe be perceived is pathetic. They do contribute, they can clean, work in offices, manufacturing and anything else that is simple. While this may be the same of any other person, at least a regular person can contribute much more. In the end it's normal people who have the disadvantage against somebody who has a physical disadvantage. Why? Because society decides to give THEM an overpowered advantage.

Again its rather pathetic if you actually feel that you have a disadvantage in life because a handicap is given advantage. Even if by some weird outcome you are constantly losing those jobs of working in a factory, cleaning up and fetching papers to mentally retarded people, I think its time to revise your life. Because employers are said to hire everything and everyone before the regular man. That means every minority and handicapped person gets a chance at employment before the regular white male. Compassion is never measured by what society can get back from somebody. Her mother shows unconditional love. She does not expect anything in return. To what extraordinary thing are you doing by spending time with normal children? I'm sure your view would change if you had a child like this.

She'll never understand life, she'll never understand how to live by herself, even if taught (she wont pick it up). The cost spent on her, well said, could be easily spent on two or three other regular children. Then on top of that, they go through high school watching movies and stuff (not doing actual High school work) and taking the same jobs regular people NEED. A waste to society, and upon birth, should be removed from society. (Or at time of discovery of mental handicap)
