  • so since the lights and the flip motion are separate switches, lets say i wanted it permanent, couldnt i just like screw em into the frame at the desired height so they nvr move then all i have to worry about is tuning the lights on and off?

  • now my f'in head lights dont work thanks douche

  • hey wuzup guys i just got my first 240 . the button you pull out, my car is missing does other 2 ones under it ... what are they for and are they important ????? thanks

  • Horrible example of how ricers have invaded the nismo game. Huge fail. Why not manually set it where u want it?

  • @MrLiljay8877 your joking right? you would rather get out of your car and spin the manual hand cranks than have a simple in car mod?

  • is the same thing in a ford probe....

  • I did this and it works... only problem is the lights are not even. Like they are a little off when i do this! The passenger side is always slightly higher than the driver side, and driver side is slightly lower than passenger side! WTF how do i fix that??? I tried poping the good and turning one of the things, and i made it even then when i did this again, they went back to being uneven???? HELP!

  • @240sxGuy3 same problem here, did u ever figure it out?

  • @danielchoman No i didnt. I just roll with em slightly uneven. But if you are really anal about it lol, you can always pop your hood, and adjust one of the lights that is slightly uneven.

  • Hey, i did a video on my car with this, on my page, this deff works, thanks an props to u

  • if its too good to be true, its probably because it is.

  • THIS WORKS to all the people asking yes this works i have done it to all of my 240s and it works! but i did do it to my brothers s13 and it worked and he could turn the headlight on without them going back up...pretty cool

  • win

  • People, It's not hard to do it the right way and get one little fuse, a couple blade connectors, wire, and a switch.

I did mine with a fuse and a switch and don't regret it. I can flip them up and down inside the car with my mounted switch, and can have the light on at the same time.

  • Man s13's Have the most ugly basic interiour

  • @FC3SROTA but once you own one, you learn to deal with it.

  • yo this does work just fdo it as it exacly says

  • I did this and it didnt work... I clicked it as you showed and it went right back down can you help anyone ?

  • is it possible to have the headlights on with the sleepy eye with this conversion

  • @chris13295 No, is not possible. when you turn on lights. headlights are placed in normal on position.

  • @rafa22ag thats awesome! that way you never forget to tune back! i know that in some places its forbiden to use lightmods so thats great

  • @chris13295 it is possible. i installed a switch between the brown wire so i still have that button, what i am doing is putting a switch to the motors so you can turn the lights on, basically when you flick the two switches each motor is disconnected therefore you can turn the lights on. with this mod you could put one light up or the other or both. you could turn the lights on with both lights down one light up or whatever you wanted.

  • @chris13295 yes it is actually look up crmoore311 he has a sleepy eye mod were u can have the lights on u'll need about 15-20 bucks tho if still wanna go free then jus disconect the HL motor wires(plugs found under lights) then u jus gotta manually crank them up w/ the nobs found next to the lights ^_^

  • @chris13295 Yes it is possible it's just not as easy as this way.

  • @chris13295 yes but u have to mod it a different way

if u want sleepy eye with headlights on then dont cut the brown wire cuz you will have to reconnect it anyway.

just go on google and type how to, there are tons of sites

  • @chris13295 Yes it is possible to have the headlights on with the sleepy eyes!! All you have to do after your sleepy eyes are set, is just unplug the headlight motors!! Then you can flip the lights anyway you want them and your sleepy eyes will still be set!! That chris 13295 dude that told you otherwise is a dumb ass!! LOL

  • @240sxGuy3 are u just jealous that the creator of the video responded to me and not u?

    lol

  • @chris13295 Wow! You are a fag!

  • LOL STOP ASKING ME!!! HAHA

  • amazing.. m gonna try it right now

  • thats it? just cut a wire? you dont have to add switches or cahnge the wiring from the motor to relay?

  • @L1LJO3Y1313 yes, just cut wire

  • @rafa22ag kool ill have to try that

  • @rafa22ag i heard that if you do this u cant turn on your headlights While in sleepy eye mode.. that true?

  • @rafa22ag well u can make a switch like i did make it there it disables the fuse like if u pulled the headlight motor fuse, out make sure u use a fuse in the curciut and u can disable the motors and turn the headlights on and off without them moving

  • just did this works great

  • I cut the brown wire and is not working ??? why??? thanks

  • nice buddy was gonna do the switch thing thill i seen this got her done in 2 mins thanks alot

  • Why do you cut this plug out ;D

  • my english is bad, but i try to help you. ok, this trick only work when lights is off, when you turn on lights. headlights are placed in normal on position.

  • so then when you turn your headlights on do you have to reset them again? and when you turn them off do they go to the spot you set them off or all the way down thanks

  • yes it is

  • if i put it half way down, and i turn my lights on, do they go all the way up?

  • check out the dirt on the inside :o) Dude, urgent rag call :o)

  • would this work on a nissan nx se (or nissan exa )

  • Pregunto .... Deverdad funciona ... !!! gracias

  • does this work even tho your headlights dont go down already???

  • funny video

    kudos

  • i love how it says just pull out the button. and than you hear a cracking noise hahaha

  • if i cut the wire would my headlight still light

cause i dont wanna f**k up my 240sx

  • as long as you cut the proper wire it should work fine. I did this last january and my headlights have worked fine since. Although I'm not able to close them completely, but that was from a fender bender :(

  • will this work on a 92 miata? i really want mine to have sleepy eyes

  • pull out the headlight button..... *BANGGGGGGG*

  • I just do it manually by turning the knob next to the headlight. Only problem is at night i have to turn the lights on which changes their position and then have to do it again in the daytime.

  • where is the switch

  • yea this is the lazy way to do it lol, i have a kill switch to my headlight motors and when i have the lights half raised i can still turn my lights on without the flip ups goin up, nice vid though

  • cut the brown wire...

    you know, with these

    lol good vid

    5 stars

  • fucking love the step by step.

pull buton out, like rip it out hahahaa

    xx

  • its so good

  • haha why would you cut the brown wire when you can unplug it instead??? therefore in the future for some reason you can put it back without splicing it back???????????

  • idk get y u guys do it electricly? my 240 button for the headlight dosent work so i have to open my hood and do it manually ...i wud rather do it by hand then by cutting all tht shit.

  • please u fucking retard, please give me a proper picture of a car with glowing sleepy eyes. it looks like shit.

  • maybe because they are not supposed to be on when they "sleep"? smartass...

  • fucking faggot, u mean driving around with no lights is SOO much better?

I have done this mod, WITH working lights on sleep mod, so this is a waste of cutting, do it right or dont!

  • why are everybody ceep saying "it work blablabla" ?!

IT DONT FUCKING WORK, THE LIGHTS CAN NOT BE ON WHEN DOING THIS , LOL

  • its true when you turn the light back on the lights come back up. first hand exp. its done on my 240.

  • Damn easiest mod i've ever seen

  • it works great did it to my car

  • o i just did mine...but its steel high(the car) so it dont look right..lol.....i need coilovers

  • i did this yesterday and im happy to say it worked!!!!!!!

  • Of course people spend $100 to do this. Because those people don't just cut wires in their harness for no reason. Just wire in 2 switches between the relay while running connectors to the other contacts. There's a video up here on how to do it. Its in Japanese but if you watch it, it shows you what to do.

  • lol and people spend $100 for modules to do it.

  • Seriously. Dumb asses. Damn newbs.

  • now will this work on my 180sx? cause my button in one the other side... well everything is on the other side since its rhd

  • oh and the button is alot diff too

  • is there away you can get your lights to work when theyre out like that?

  • sweet and its that easy

  • ok im doin this on my 240sx tmw!!!!!

  • can you still do the wink?

  • This style can u how do u bring ur eyes back to the normal way like when its to dark with sleepy eyes.

  • ya all u do is turn on ur lights and it goes back to normal

  • this actually works for all the flip light 240s so yeah..it worked on mine :D

  • its actually not a bad way. Easy and fast. When you have the lights on snooze mode what kind of lightage do you get anyway.

  • it works

  • apparently i can't paste the link so just go on google and type "sleepy eyes 240sx"

and you should see the video just scroll down a bit.

  • heres how i did mine

the video is in japanese but it has subtitles

so don't be ghetto and spend 8 dollars at the most plus you can have your lights on while they are angled =]

  • "DO NOT CUT THE BROWN WIRE!!!"

    THAT SHIT IS BOOTLEG.

do it the right way without cutting shit seriously.

  • will this work on a 92 240sx?

  • hahahah never minde it worked great thanks man now only if you can do it with the lights on..

  • you suck man it didint work on my 90 240sx

  • This works. I have a 91 240sx.

  • personally i think the whole "totaled if u cut the brown wire" is BULLSHIT... how can cutting one wire be considered that when u can just solder it back on... i think its a rumor started from ppl that actually bought the pivot controller n then realized that u can just cut a wire n dont have to spend money or nothing so they're all jelous n shit n started the rumour...

anyway will this work on a 1992 180sx??

  • i think (havent tried it yet) if u take out the fuse they will stay there when the lights on and when u put ur high beams on they will go up to normal height...but i've read everywhere that if u cut the brown wire ur car is considered totaled... is this true, and if so WHY is that SO?!?!?

  • if you only do it when the headlights are off, then whats the point of this "mod"

  • does this work with headligh on? when i tried this i got it to work without light only..

  • only work without light only ;(

  • does this work with headligh on? when i trie

  • What is the function of the brown wire exactly?

  • just as a follow up, I'm all for sleepy eyes, I just don't like cutting wires when I don't know what they're for.

  • is it really that easy?!

  • yes. is easy!

  • no sera mas facil k dejarlo cortado ponerle un conmutador desde ese coble k cortas????

    vamos digo yo

  • más facil no es....

  • oooh... ok, so you always have to push the switch?

  • when u do that... will the head lights always pop up like that when u start the car?

  • head lights only pop up when you push the switch, same you see in vid

  • how can you use the headlights with this

  • yup just did mine ... had trouble operating it at first but then saw the vid n did exactly shown and now everytin irie

  • nice i luv ya man(no homo)...that was fun and easy....

  • now what if you turn the lights on do they pop back up?

  • The easiest/safest way to do it is to turn those two knobs next to the lights. No cutting needed.

  • well its not much of a problem now. haha. if you want to see better in the dark with sleepy eyes i suggest a headlight conversion.

  • Asi de pelada compas...

  • do u guys know how to do this on a mr2?

  • ur all dumb ur supposed to do it right ! ha ha its the fuse under the hood wire in a switch for EACH LIGHT

  • Thanks man this shit worked for me I just want to know one thing can you have the lights on with the sleepy eyes because I tried turning them on and it didnt work.

  • I wanted that too just go here...

    boompa.c0m/guide/240sx-sleepy-eyes/124

  • cool :)

  • I just tried it on my 91, doesnt work. On the 91 if you cut the brown wire you cant use the button to make the lights go up or down. This probably only works on 89-90 cars.

  • it works on my 91 dohc, and on my cousins '93 so it should work.. just cut the lights on first then hit the button you pull out. after cut the lights off and adjust that way. , i actually was going to make a video on this but searched to make sure there wasn't one already... saved me time and probably questions.

  • What I had to do to make mine work was what was described in the video, but instead of tapping the button, in my car I you have to release the button and depress it again until you get the desired position and then when you have the lights where you want them, you keep the button depressed. Also, my right headlight starts to close slightly later than the left, leaving the right headlight open more.

  • same with my 93 dohc :(

  • lol please disregard my last comment...i figured out the problem hehe

  • well i just gone done doing mine...one problem. it only works with the lights off. So if your only looking to have 'sleepy eyes' in the daytime this is only good for that. but don't expect this shortcut to work at night. O.o

  • heeey funciono jaja ke bien gracias desde BC norte mexico

  • jaja gracias ahora lo intentare yo jeje

  • can this work on a fd3s?

  • So There how easy is it to get ur lights back to normal after u cut the wire and i heard that ur car is considered totaled after u snip that wire?...True? And what exactly does the brown wire do before u cut it?

  • yeah, it's easy and faster....one thing bothers me... it goes back to wide open eye when i turn lights on.....

  • easy and faster then the japones video! thnks when my 240sx come ill do it right a head... i got a 91 240sx hope it works

  • hey where is this fuse at???//

  • are your headlights still fully functional

  • thanks for showing me how thats the dopest looking way to have head lights ever

  • hey man i have a 93 94 92 91 240sx do you think this will work yeah i no alot of cars.

umm but every time i turn the car off will i have to redo every thing or no and will the light go back up.

  • This Method didnt work on my 90 240. After the part when you first push the button once then turn the lights on then off , the lights completly go down.

All this did was disable my pop up button.

  • ADF932...My first 240 was a 90, and this method worked for me...thats odd...I dunno, what I used to do was- with the lights off push the button to raise it all the way up. Then double click it till I got the level I wanted, then turn on the lights. just once, if I turned them off it would go down again. All my freinds had different years and you had to do it the way posted. hope that helps

  • Sil240SR - I followed everything this video demonstrates. Maybe somthing is wrong in the connections.

  • ADF932...did you try what I said, I used to have a 1990. I know it sounds like what was in the video, but just try what I said, it is different. Mine wouldn't work like this video said but my freinds cars would. So just see if it works.

  • Ah MAn YOu ARE MY HeRO....THanKS Man IM NoT GONnA BUy A CoNTrOlleR MAn....

  • is the best trick for sleepy eye! very good great job!!

  • would this be the same with a right hand drive one?

  • hahaha what a stooge

  • loll, that's soo funny

  • helal olsun alanım

  • amature thats the shit way once you turn them on they go all the way back up!! Idiot (check out the video by crmooore311 for the tru sleepy eye)

  • Driftking240...get an education, you don't know what you're talking about...this works and it doesn't cost anything so that makes you the idiot

  • SICK!!

  • nice!!!!
