So you must be pretty pumped about the Hot Toys 1989 Keaton then? Tim Burton's Batman is defintely the best looking live action version to date. Nolan's egg-head, pencil neck version doesn't touch this version.
do you know if this batcave was ever available for the first batman movie by kenner, I remember seeing it in the booklets that came with the toys, but have never seen one from kenner.

It was intended to be released for the DKC in late 1991 and it's my theory that with WB releasing the sequel for 1992 that all production on DKC was then switched over and all merchandise then rebranded for Returns. With the decision made it would have been costly to release a playset with DKC colors for such a short time and then repaint and rebrand the same toy months later for the next movie.

@MegaHyperLady The arms are a bit to short though that's always bothered me. lol I do agree that awesome sculpts are fr better than 20-30 pts of articulation some of the seams and joint connections are really an eyesore on most figures those with a lot of color.
All 3 variations of this Batman figure are favorites of mine! I was / am a tomboy, so growing up I liked the Batman, superheroes, G.I.Joes, and Star Wars more than the Barbies my family would get me. lol
There are actually unpainted-face-skin and painted-face-skin Mint On Card variations of the "round face Keaton" 1st edition for this Batman figure.
The unpainted version has a waxy, yellowish, "fuller" face look to it.
The painted version looks better, albeit with pale paint.

i found the round jaw on card for 5 bucks at a used bookstore(yes they sell toys too) and i noticed on the back is a early prototype of the square jaw and a low detail body. i had the batman and superman that fell down with the ring.
Nice vid. I began collecting toys a few years ago after finding out my mom gave away all my old stuff to the church in our town. Batman, Robo Cop, He Man, Turtles; used to have this stuff as a kid. I dont remember which one I had becuase it was so long ago, but I know it wasn't the round face. Glad there are people still interested in this type of thing.

The one in the middle was released first (Round Head Keaton) this was then pulled and rereleased with a new comic inspired head pictured on the left (Square Jaw) this is the most loathed of all the toy biz batman so that one was pulled and rereleased with it's final head sculpt (Keaton Big Lips) All Three were packaged with the same weapons a spear gun and batarang.

Plus the scale is way off and still proves that Kenner never made a completely 100% accurate Batman from either 1989 or Returns. Toy Biz despite a rushed lousey job is the only one to come.

I don't know if you have the Kenner "Shadow Wing" Batman but that one takes the cake. It has the accurate muscle torso, the gauntlets and the superior head to boot. While Crime Attack Batman isn't as accurate per se it's still much better than this piece of shit. The" new" scalloped cowl, belt, legs and head make it more than just "another Super Powers repaint". Kicks this ones ass.
@SSTrunks1138 If you think Shadow Wing is better that's your opinion. I do have Shadow Wing and although the sculpted chest is more improved than the other Kenner Bat's still not as accurate as the Toy Biz The back of the suit is plain muscle and does not have the back shoulder plated armor. The sides of the plate for the ab muscle are clearly present in the toy biz than the Kenner even Shadow Wing has this missing. The only improvements Kenner has are the boots head and belt.

Like cult classic 1950s-80s horror movies - so quirky they're extra-awesome.
The arms should've been longer / bigger - conversely they're not super-long "orangutan" monkey arms like 2004-2011 figures.

I like the simplistic style that Toy Biz used with their Batman and DC Superhero figures.
Reminds me of the simplistic wooden figurines that were made for Superman and Captain Marvel waaaaay back in the 1940's and 1950's.
Toy Biz still did a 1000% better job with their sculpts and paint for the iconic 1989 Batman movie than what the average person could do. lol
Who needs 20 or 30 points of articulation?
Many modern-day, lanky, skinny figures seem puny by comparison to Toy Biz 1989 figures.
