thanks for everything. i grew up on your music. i remember my freshman year in college here in dc, when 'transmissions' came out (after we had heard your music for years at home at the beaches in delaware for years prior). my friends at school had never heard of The Samples, and i made lifetime listeners out of them. you guys have made the world a better place... and DAMN you guys sound so good.
like phish, trey got tired of being 95% of the creativity and having 25% voice so they broke up. farmhouse (phish album) was supposed to be a trey solo album but the other guys didn't write anything shortly thereafter it was over for awhile
Hey Sean, been a while... You guys always carry a tune in my head. Chuck M. (drummer)from Boulder and Vt is an old child hood chum of mine. I guess I missd a chance to hang out and jam with ya (fellow bass player/builder). Thanks for the good vibes and giving me a life long string of times to remember from you songs. Keep your soul as your pilot ;)
I remember when the Samples performed before 8000 at Red Rocks in 1992. Dave Mathews opened, along with Carrot Top. Sean's mother was there and really enjoyed the show. Where's THAT video?
Carl "fingers"...what's up? Come see me at the "Tewks". People young and old say your show in Clinton was "awesome". I'll buy you dinner. If Carl doesn't see this, please forward to someone else who knows wher he is. Rock on Fingers.... an old friend
