Well I cant really upgrade components of a laptop since when you take it apart you risk messing something else up. Im going to hopefully build a desktop from components, which will be high end probably, then i wont have to worry about this as much.
I have no idea about laptops, im more of a computer geek but it could be caused by somthing blocking either the main fan or another one (like the graphics card, if laptops have a fan on the graphics card) or it could be the laptop is dieing and is trying to keep running, no idea but they the best options i could think of, hope u get it fixed sam, it the six weeks holidays! lol
Oh and my Computer used to make this sound but i cleared out the fan on the graphics card because it turned out it had got clogged up with dust somehow, hope this helps somehow
Yeah lol i should have enough time in the six weeks holidays to get it done :P I should try that, desktops are alot easier to fix and laptops are usually a pain, well mine have anyway :S

there could be a wire that is touching the fan. i happens on my desktop sometimes

omfg mines the same way mines a toshiba satellite p305d it makes same buzzing noise!!!!

Yeah it seems to only be Toshiba Satellite laptops that do this.
