Well, my teaching experience tells me that actually teaching adults with games can be really useful, works perfectly for a warm-up or just a little break.
And I must disagree that the comparatives are obvious, I'd say it depends on your mother tongue.
It also depends on the teacher. If you feel it's a waste of time, students will feel the same.
I recommend such games for a worm up, or.. some revision exercises :)

This type of activity is a waste of time with adults, the comparitives are pertty obvious
However, it is very effective if you're teaching kids
