  • Ataktaktouken !!!

Alex Boom ! Alex Boom !

  • Comment removed

  • Бабрладебёёркет

  • LOLOLOLOL! :))

  • I'D LIKE SOME POUND CAKE.

  • TATSMAK SENPUUUUUUUKICK!

  • ATTACKDAKDUKEN!

  • I laughed my ass off watching this. I always thought he said "sass sopp per u ken"

  • Those "u"'s are silent.

  • thanks to egoraptor all i hear is I'd Like Some Pound Cake

  • IM a fan of japanese and wat he Really saying is Tatsmaki Senpuu kyak when there is tsu u dont pronounce the u in the tsu and at the end of the u in alot of japanese words there not pronounced so its really TATSMAKI SENPUU KYAK!!! XDD

  • The original video was funnier just hearing you sound what we all hear him say. I always thought he was saying " uh-tak-tak-toogit!!!" with the T's being pronounced a bit softer sorta like you would in Japanese or Spanish.

  • I´ve ridden it in the comics from Street fighter....!! LOL

  • TATS MAK SEN PU KYAK

  • atatatuguiki

  • ha ta ta tara ki

  • I speak Spanish so I hear just Tatsumaki senpuu kyaku in both cases, besides Spanish is phonetically more similar to Japanese

  • lol weird gaijin accent

why gaijins pronounce emphasize every vowel?

    like "Tahh Tsuuhh Mahhhhh Kihhhh"

  • @sijotakane Because they are reading based on their own rudiments from their language. Why point out the obvious. It would be a dick move for an American to make fun of a person straight from Japan trying to speak English words, likewise are you a dick for making fun of people "trying" to speak words from a language that you know isn't theirs. Grow the fuck up you ignorant dolomite (doesn't matter where your from).

  • @sijotakane Why do the Japanese pronounce "dragon" as if its spelled "doragon" and "ball" as if its spelled "badu?" Because they pronounce English words based on how they are spelled in Katakana. Likewise, the way that I pronounced "Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku" is consistent with English phonics based on how it's spelled in Romanji.

  • @therealhardrock It's more like "booru" for ball, but I get what you're saying.

  • SA-TRAC-TEP-PO-RUKEN!!!! XD

  • Just like everyone says it. You have to say ot fast. Tatsumaki you have to say it real fast it's like you can barely hear it. Then say Sen-puu then kyak. The U at the end is slient. So it's Tatsumak-sen-puukyak. At first I thought it was lyce-space-pu-kik

  • Even Hadoken doesn't quite sound that way but maybe its bcoz of our American way of spelling things.

  • i used to think he was saying "ah-pet-pet-blankat" when i was a kid.

  • lol you are funny

  • ta-mo-sok-pu-yik -.-

  • WELL IN JAPANESE YOU DONT READ "U" AND "I" SPELLS...SO ITS "TATSMAK SENPKYAK"

  • @zonurvideos First of all, you don't have to shout (i.e. stop typing in ALL CAPS) second of all, before you post a comment look at the other comments to see if anyone's said the same thing. I do not need a kazillion people telling me the same thing.

  • @therealhardrock so why you ask a cr@p with a video ???? i dont need to check all cr@p 15 pages comment, you need to check internet for this, dont need to make video..."Futhiketheckthukeck" is it cr@p or what ? =) would be better that you dont answer me cuz i dont need a mind from ya....

  • @zonurvideos thank u for telling before making a fool out of myself

  • Keeeeeeboard warriors

  • my dad used to scream ALGOCHIP! when he'd hear the hadoken. LOL

  • " All you can" xD Sweet.

  • all the people leaving negative comments are probably those of a younger generation of people who played sf2 a few times but really started playing when sf4 came out. like the video states back then the internet was just barely emerging you couldnt just google that shit. when i was i kid i though he said "hawoooken" instead of hadouken. meh i was close.

  • @THEVASART meh, you are bitch

  • @l901 do you have an reasoning behind that? or are you just vocalizing anything that pops into that head of yers?

  • I also used to think that shoryuken was "all you can" LOL

  • I remember reading in a GamePro years ago that he was yelling "tatsumaki senpuukyaku" and I had the same reaction! "Umm no he's not!" Funny that I still remember the word to this day, having not played a SF game in around 14 years.

  • In netherlands, back when in 1996... i thought he was saying Patat met kroket.

  • Yup Tatsmaksenpuuukek! he's saying it, but since it's a japanese guy speaking his own language he can say it very fast, like when instead of people in america saying "Whore" they say "ho" i hope it helps. I WANT SOME POUND CAKE!!

  • Ryu says it more clearly to the American ear now :p

  • lmao this is hilarious

  • listen to the end, in Capcom vs Snik it's cleary said Tatsu Senpukyaku :)

  • I thought I was the only one who cared that he sounded different.

  • A FLEX LECK LUUUUUUKEN!!!!

  • HAHA I used to play that game on the snes and I also tought it was HATEKTEKYUUKIT

  • @Angeleaux I used to think Ryu says oshwashebukyen.

  • Don't you know? Pound cake makes you fat

  • lol if you can speak japanese its pretty clear haha...in fact i heard only the sound on a different video ("indian street fighter") and typed in "tatsumaki senpyuukyaku" to see what it looks like

  • @caxco93 stfu scrub.

  • HAHAHAHA when i was kid i didnt know what the hell did he say also for the hadouken i though he said "abuket" LOL

  • the like op[uong cake

  • amen. it says contextex brutex!!!!!

  • lol bro totally agree with you

  • I totally agree on the CvS2 being better than MvC2, because CvS2 takes real skill and MvC2 just needs you to press buttons rapidly.

  • hahha finally someone said it!!!

  • the real name is Soptep Tekturugen

  • hup! pai-check penu-check!!!

  • its Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku but rly fast. p.s. if u dont read the letter u would probly understand. japan dont read the u like in eng/ger...

  • I'm Japanese, I've studied Japanese, I love anime, but Ryu will always be Rye-yoo to me because that's the way I said it as a child. And this kick will always be...well you summed it up pretty well ^^ These are our precious childhood memories!

  • @Kyrax1 That's dope. I didn't realize it either until it was broken down like this lol

  • use to think it was 'hasuchenburkeckl

  • When I got SF 2 for SNES back in '91 I remember reading the booklet and telling myself the same thing. "There's no way he saying this shit." I sat there for about 10 mins trying to say it just as fast. Even if can it sounds nothing like it. I wish Capcom would explain this shit.

  • THIS IS FUCKING FUNNY

  • I guess you don't watch anime. Anybody used to hearing Japanese can easily tell what he's saying.

  • @loscakes Back when Street Fighter II was new, we didn't have subtitled anime, what little anime there was in the US was dubbed and heavily edited.

  • @therealhardrock I don't see what that has to do with anything, considering the video is only 3-years-old and you claim that you still can't tell.

  • @therealhardrock XD love this

  • @loscakes That is not Tatsumaki.

  • @tecrodark Uh..what?

  • @loscakes Ryu says a bunch of gibberish when he do Tatsumaki.

  • @tecrodark You say a bunch of gibberish when you try to speak.

  • @loscakes if you don't get what im saying then i wasted my time talking to you.

  • @tecrodark Despite the fact that you speak like a toddler, I understood you fine. More to the point, yes, you did waste your time trying to convince me that my ears are as bad as yours.

  • @loscakes lol at the fact that this video is what he sound like when he does tatsumaki, yet you want to bring up not being able to understand japanese because of anime?!?!? i bet you don't know shit about japanese and your just trying to act intelligent on comments? My work here is done.

  • @tecrodark Fact: The more accustomed one becomes to hearing a foreign language, the more easily they can understand it. I thought that was obvious but you never can tell these days. Despite your wild assumptions, I can confidently say that I know more about Japanese than you know about English. Regarding your so-called "work", I can only guess that your intention was to thoroughly insult yourself, in which case you've done a fantastic job.

  • @loscakes And im conifident to say that your wrong. Insult myself i laugh at that too. I did not watch this video to insult anyone but because you wanted to start shit i have to deal with a FUCKING WEEABOO. You know more japanese then i know english? Its fucking written all over you.

Fact: people that try to show off their knowledge of japanese shows that you are weeaboo material.

  • @tecrodark How can you be confident of anything when you can't even spell it? I get it, you're an idiot. Please, just stop making it worse. You're starting to actually make me feel bad.

  • @loscakes Hey im not the one who stated that watching anime means that you know japanese. A error when i was typing oh well. Now you call people stupid? I laugh at your logic.

  • @tecrodark I did not state that at all. Go ahead and scroll up and look if you can manage it. Just because you can discern what someone is saying doesn't mean you can comprehend it. Let's examine my allegedly laughable logic:

Step 1: You act irrefutably stupid.

Step 2: I call you stupid.

Where exactly is the misstep? My logic is unassailable, but I know you'll try again. I'd hoped you'd escape with some modicum of dignity, but I can see that was wishful thinking.

  • @loscakes so you go and say that because he does not watch anime, he is not used to hearing japanese? How the fuck can you make a assumption that he does not watch anime or understand japanese?

you can say what you want now i don't give a shit anymore. I have much more fun looking at internet trolls and not stupid people.

  • @tecrodark Well, it's about time. You could have given up a long time ago and saved yourself a good deal of embarrassment. For future reference, it's never a good idea to challenge another's intellect while blatantly exhibiting no measurable amount of your own.

  • @tecrodark like yourself :)

  • awesome video man....... funny as hell.

  • Man, you are the maaaann! I've always wondered how you get "tatsumaki spenpu kayaku" from what he says lol

  • You right man, but that's japanese language.

    they saying Tatsmak Senpukyak

  • It's the super famicon, almost impossible to understand something. CPS versions it's clear when bgm sound is unabled.

  • Actually in CvS2 he says tatsumaki senpuu kyaku ^^

  • You can't pronounce it hahahaha!

  • ID LIKE SOME POUND CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YEEEEEEAH! Would anyone like some... A-POUND CAKE?!?!?

  • street fighter 2 = satrack tep toruken

snk vs capcom = atracks tep truken

  • he clearly says "Wan Get Bet Barroo Ket!"

    jeez!

  • The pipes are broken!!

  • @Icapelliperte kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • THE SIDEKICK DO KICK!

  • HUDUKDUKDUUUKEN!!!

    xD

i remember myself saying like that whenever i did the move when i was a kid...and i still do sometimes xD cuz its fun

  • It almost Sounds like he Said " i love mcnuggets"

  • The Japanese pronounce it differently is all. Remember, buffet sounds like "buffeh" but spelled with a "t". The same in a lot of the Japanese words, this one in particularly.

  • @crazywhiteboie buffet is a french word

  • @whippy0m0 You're the sixth person who told me that.

  • I always thought the "Hadoken" sounded like "I broke it!" as a kid.

  • TATSUMEIK SEMPOOOKYEK

  • Question from the video's description:

"...but why don't Ken and Ryu actually sound like they're saying that when they do the move?"

Because they're pronouncing it in a way you're not familiar with. It's a Japanese term and if you knew a thing or two about said language, you'd know that "Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku" isn't said slowly. On top of that, the "u" in both "Tatsu" and "Kyaku" and the "i" in "maki" are silent.

  • @RecklessDragoon You don't read the annotations, do you? I already know that, I said so in the first annotation and the description.

  • @therealhardrock

You're right. I don't read annotations, because by default, the setting for them is off for me. And if you already know why Ryu and Ken say the attack's name "differently", why do you still have the question in your description? If people kept telling me the same thing over and over again, I'd just lock the comment feature, altogether. :\

  • @RecklessDragoon the い is not silent

  • no, hes saying "i want some pound cake" duh

  • "Ah plek tek puru kik" first game. "Tats mak senpu kik" second game.

  • Tatsz Makh Sen puu kek -

  • im laughing so hard with the comments lol

  • It sounds like he's saying "americanswillneverfigurethisoutcausetheyrestupid!"

  • @lookatthejuice

No. You're the stupid one for making a generalization like that. This is what you call "irony". Do you even know what that means?

  • @RecklessDragoon It means get a job and stop harassing people you will never meet in person.

  • when i was 5

aduk duk dooo git = tatsumaki senpuu kyaku

    aaahyouukit = shoruken

    adooogen = hadoken

    good times

  • @boilupsandwich You are probably one of the few people who really gets the point of this video.

  • @therealhardrock

    I loved your video!

I'm brazilian..... in Brazil we have MANY misheard versions of MANY street fighter moves....

All of us used to hear so many freaking funny things when the caracters where doing their moves and we laugh a lot until now!

Tatsumaki Sempuu Kyaku is the champion! This move has got at least 10 famous misheard versions that every brazilian geek knows! hahaha

Now I know it's not only in Brazil that we do that! Thanks for sharing!

  • what ryu say is mixed up with the sound effect of his move and the background music, thats why is so hard to tell

  • He's Saying Tatsmaki Senpuken!!!

  • no ID LIKE SOME POUND CAKE

  • @dfghdhfy good one

  • @dfghdhfy Arrrrrrrrre you Ken? XD

  • as a kid, i used to hear "that-FIGHT-set-fa-DIL-ken"

only recently after checking forums did i sort-of hear "tats-MIKE-sen-pee-YOU-kyek"

the weird part that threw me off is that "puu" is 2 distinct syllables.

  • I hear "The best kick of stupid". i listen closely.

  • Oooh tat - mak - sen - poo - kyak!

Isn't too hard to hear it.

    Even O-tac-tac-ooo-kec is good.

  • I loved this. It made me laugh a lot.

  • Probably the best video on youtube.

  • You know, this is one of my favorite youtube videos of all time. No Lie.

  • ya I got dissapointed too that tatsumakisenpuKYAKU didnt sound like that in the game, i thought he said something like asnoetnaosdouken LOL

  • Dude you're awesome, I pissed my pants because of you!!! XD

  • hatratsebukem

  • ryu say tatsumaki sepukyaku in TvC

  • hes just sayin it fast i just say tatsumaki lol its to dam long if u ask me

  • atek tek tugen

  • Haha finally a guy who think that ryu don't know his own attack's name :)

  • btw, the reason why the U, and some other vowels, are not pronounced is because they [the vowels] are quiet with certain consonants. For example. Put your finger on your throat. and say DE SU. Notice how your throat vibrates with DE but not with SU. Therefore, the word Desu is pronounced Des or Desu but the U is faintly like a whisper. This sort of pronunciation is usually within the Tokyo Prefecture. The more rural areas in Japan are more traditional.

  • also notice how he says Ken at the end of the attack.

  • That's only the name of the move. Ryu doesn't same to say it. If I count the syllabus, the name does not match even with silent U's. Desu=Des for example.

  • It sounds like he's saying "I'd lick some pound cake!!!"

  • IT'S UCK THUCK THUCK GOOGLE KHACK!!!

    YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!!

  • sempre achei que era "golpe da coruja!" tipo: "golpetakuruuuuja"

for the english dudes: I always thought it was (translation) "owlstrike", but, you know, in portuguese. :D

  • No it sounds just like how its spelled. its just japanese dont say every word how its spelled. ex tatsumaki would be pronounced (tatsmach) instead of (tatsumaki)

  • Tatsz Makh Sen puu kek

  • "THE PIPES ARE BROKEN"

  • hiligent furlgent

  • dont worry. he actually says the whole thing in Marvel vs Capcom 3 haha

  • lol it sounds like he just saying Tatsumaki

  • no its BADAGAKGYUGAK

  • I-want-some-fruit-cake!

  • I always thought it was TATSUSNAKSNAKSNAKSNAKET!

  • gaijin accent

  • i loved this because i was trying to explain to my BF what i hear when that move is executed and i couldnt describe it and then i found this video and i completely agree with therealhardrock lol then BF told me what its supposed to be and we're still arguing about it, and then i saw whippy0m0's comment which says "its pronounced 'tatsmaksenpookyak'" and now i feel better thanks guys :)

  • HAHAHAHAHA! I like it the way you say it,Futhiketheckthukeck!

  • da da boo kick!

  • Tapresmehstupeh !

  • yeah practise more of that nonsense .....

i fell u will get it right soon ...noob

  • if you listen super carefully it's he says tastumak senpuukyak!

  • really it's Tatsu Mak Senpuu Kyak the i in maki is silent so is the u in kyaku Listen carefully it's Tatsu MAK SENPUU KYAK

  • i used to think he was speaking gibberish too until i opened my ears and realized it was that he said Tatsumaki Senpuukyaku really fast.

  • Here, in Brazil, there are several interpretations like "atacktablanka"(Poor Blanka) or "tactac tacturuguen". hehe

  • "trec trec truguet" around here

  • I NEED SOME BOOOOOREK xD

    (BOREK= turkish food) xD

  • lol!!

  • Actually i'm really hearing Tats maki Senpuukyaku he doesn't finish the senpupyaku correctly but it's there.

  • just listen to the tatsu sound in street fighter ONE x D

  • A DUT DUT DOKET!

  • Japanese pronunciation, you niggras:

    Tatsumak' sempuu kyak'

  • relax, dude... we don't know japanese... thanks for tellin' us how to pronounciate it.

  • it took me a while to relate Tatsumaki senpuu kyaku to what hes saying until i realised that the double uu in senpuu actually means you say the u twice so its kind of like senpuwu (btu without the w sound)

also the u's are pronounced at the end of everything but they are said quite quickly and not pronounced significantly enough to be noticed so they sound a lot liek they are not said at all

  • amazing video!

  • Atlat Set Pulkak

^^ This must be it ^^

  • I would like some Pouuuuund Cake! XDD
