  • cruel to fish

  • Two of my orandas are just like this.. Narla will rush over the second my hands enter water and she rubs herself all over me. Peoples comments about damaging slime coat are true in some cases but with a well looked after aquarium it is no concern as it is constantly replaced by them.. also most decent de chlorinating products contain alot of aloe vera which is very good for them and slime coat... fishys wouldnt do it if it was gonna hurt them. :) does make checking them over soooooo much easier

  • little fishy arms!

  • Wowww! I'm so impressed! What a sweetheart he is!

  • That is too cute...

  • I didnt know you could actually jerk off a damn fish... just kidding. i pet my cichlids as well... very cute vid there... cheers.

  • Aww!! 0:04 It looks like it's cuddling your hand :33333

  • Cutie :)

  • I had a regular goldfish that used to love to be pet. He'd rub against my hand and fingers like a cat. I think this is normal for any fish in the carp family.

  • awww thats so cute. i wish my oranda was like that hes really shy i got him 3 days ago. he gets scared when i put my had in there to hand feed him. you can check him out on my channel

  • how do i make a regular goldfish to be a good listener when i gave them food.....they don't come up when i put my hand above the water

  • cute and lovely.

  • I DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD PET A DAMN FISH!!!!

  • howd you do it?

  • My black moor Phantom is like that, although he doesn't swim right into my hand. XD Your fish is cute!

  • It's a cat incarnated as fish!

  • @sirgalahad777 Ironic

  • aaaw, my babies were quite cuddly, but not THIS cuddly! i'm jealous! (I got a couple of vids of them playing with my daughter's hand)

  • hey can u give me some steps how to make my orandas want me to pet them please? this is really cool!!!

  • I thought my goldfish were weird because they too loved to be petted and touched! They'd rub themselves on my finger and wait to get petter on their heads.

At least now I know this is something pretty "normal."

  • good on you. i am envious and almost jealous.

also 6 months and its so big, how are you raising it ? may i ask what u feed it, frequency of water change, filtration ?

  • amazing but be aware because touching fish is dangerous because on their skin they has a film that protect them against mushroom or bacteria

  • cute ^3^

  • thanks

  • As pros will tell you - sli, ecoat is in a continuous build process if the fish is healthy - very little pressure is exerted unlike what it appears is happening- as well this - brief Handling - is an excellant way to maintain daily overseeing of his physical attributes that may show the beginnings odf disease or damage - as well in the slimecoat thickness and his "inner wellness.

  • maybe he was a dog in his earlier life :D

  • if he was he would be scratching up against rocks and plants. No - he has definately special spots where he likes to be carassed - especially on the right side - you may see him in the video stay for a short while having his left side petted - then abruptly turning around and comming back into my hand so that the right side gets petted - he favors the right side -

  • he's itchy.

  • Fish whisperer!

  • Orandas are so friendly. :)

  • still cute i got one today it looks so funny and just will brighten up any fish tank community.

p.s. i love their afros XD

  • beware that the "community" fish are compatable and are able to get their fairt share of food - Orandas can be very greedy and pushy - dominant - as well - no matter what type of fish you get - beware that Oranda's are waste producers unlike few others - they can make a safe healthy system into a dangerous toxic environment to some fish that are not well tollerant of changing conditions of water quality in the blink of an eye - especially if you overfeed

  • Adorable fish doing that!

  • im probably gonna get 1 oranda is a 13 gallon tank enough for one of these awesome fish?

    Great vid Very GREAT fish!!

  • yes

  • That's weird, how does it feel? I bumped my betta with my hand once but then I was like quickly taking my hand out of the water so I didn't feel much

  • very smooth - you can tell by the thickness of the slimecoat how well he is - or if he is under the weather...

  • wow awsome how did u do that?

  • hey fantastic video mannnnnnn

just cant stop watching it ive already watched 20 times..

    :D

ive been keeping goldfish since 2 years never been so close to them... how jijya do tht?

    ple reply....

  • That was so cute!! My goldies keep pushin the little pebbles if they are hungry!! Cute goldies!!

  • that seems to be a play thing - try that with frozen peas - punch picks them up from around the tank and puits them all together in the front until they thaw. no joke!

  • I really love ur Fish! would love to play with him once!! He is very sweet!! Pls do check out my documentary about making fishes happy!! :-)

  • hey i do wanna c ur documentary...

  • OHHHHHHh I LOVE ORANDAS. i USED TO HAVE THEM, and am seriously considering going back to getting them. They just put off SO MUCH AMMONIA. I guess one is best.

Love the interraction yours lets you give him.

  • They do produce a lot of waste - if you are not a person inclined to do 72 hour water changes and really limit the feeding amounts - yes it is a sure recipie for likking them .

  • cool! can yo ukeeps these with goldfish?

  • I mean with Pearlscale Goldfish

  • Yes - in fact you will see the spawningf video with Lovie as a Pearlscale Goldfish - they are quite compatible

  • um for a capped to get that big will usually take 10+ years they grow very low at first then will grow alittle faster then slowdown

  • How did you teach him?I wanna teach my goldfish, but the closest I can get is touching the red cap,he/or she*my fish's gender, not sure* is too skiddish.

  • we never taught - just one day started rubbing and pecking at my hand while I was setting plants.

  • Cute :)

  • HOW CUTE!

  • That was INCREDIBLE! I didn't know goldfishes want to be petted. The only fish I know that likes being petted is my male fighting fish :) thanks for this new info...I'm so excited to try it on one of my goldfishes

  • nice

  • Um, you shouldn't let it be touched so much because you can wear off the slime that protects it from bacteria...

  • if one is able to touch his goldfish like so, that means he knows more about goldfish than most other people.

  • did u get him when he was that big or did he grow with u? I have two that i am getting a 30 gallon and i am wondering how long it will take for them to get that big!

  • he doubled in size in about 6 -7 months - really cut back on the food - - the leaner the better - when they get as big as Punch two are 1 to many for a 30 gallon tank, especially Orandas

  • dude that is so cool!

  • thanks

  • That's pretty cool. It's great that your being careful about the slimecoat that I've seen from prior comment replies. He looks really trusting!

  • that is what makes it even more important to treeat him well

  • My oranda will sit in the palm of my hand, but she doesn't let me pet her like that. :3

  • cute

  • Punch only cost three dollars. But it takes time every day caring for him and money to buy supplies. I spend at least eight hundred dollars on tank, pumps, filters, ultruviolet light, chiller ect.

  • those are soo cool. how much did it cost?

  • that is sooooo cool, but you should give him some of that medicine stuff in my video to help repare the slim coating he has that way he doesnt get un healthy and mabey die, just from what ive heard

    not too sure

  • the touch is light- and shed aquarium maintains if he is healthy the slimecoat generates fast. We also add slime coat to water

  • oh, cool yeah good thing you do because the way i kinda understand it is like when you get a rash, to the fish loosing its slime is like getting a rash rite?

  • Eric, I have to say.. Jasmine is in luv!..lol.. she wants to come and visit.. Well, off to Play with my Oranda.. shes being fasted today.. so shes swimming all around wanting attention... Jewels

  • Punch is a tease

  • One again dude, its not healthy for him at all. If you really cared you would stop touching him.

  • Aww, he seems to love you very much! See? People don't believe me, but fish are just as good of pets as cats and dogs. ;)

  • Eric, you and Punch are awesome and I absolutely applaud the advice on tank size et al that you give for goldfish. I've posted links to your videos on my fish site, Aqua Facts.

  • thank you very much,

  • my gold fish can let me touch them too .. and there about 4 years old lol

  • Thats harmful to his slime coat

  • That's so cute! I have an orange oranda but it's not as brave as yours, the closest mine does to that is come right up to the glass and peer at you

  • the fishes soul was once human and loved affection

  • I love goldfish.

  • Wow. That fish REALLY loves pets. :D I have fish like that but not nearly as desperate and comfortable with it. Nice job with this fish!

  • OMG! That is too cute! lol! I have 2 red cap orandas who are just tiny little guys right now, but they don't mind at all when I'm fiddling around in the tank and often come up to see what's going on.

  • i love your fish! i really want a fish...

  • I am in the process of writing a series of articles for opne of the mags for beginners.

  • howd u teach him no fears? rly cool vid.

  • by being ultra careful anytime I was in the tank - never bumping him- etc- now I cannot even use the net in the tank to catch things like a snail because he will assume he is going for a ride and will swim right into it as if waitingh and saying "ok pull me up - where are we going?"

  • wen you rub them hard like that your takeing there slime coat off pet at the bottom

  • thne touch is light- and shed aquarium maintains if he is healthy the slimecoat generates fast.

  • Got some of that with the 'cuddle fish' video. I've had my babies for over a year and never had a problem from that and we've all had fun - though your's is a pushy little hedonist compared to Sweet Pea and friends.

  • YES i TOTALLY AGREE WAIT TILL YOU SEE THE UPDATE- YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT PUSHY- NOW IF HE IS IGNORED WHEN PUTTING PLANTS IN - HE BURRIOWS UNDER NEATH THE PLANTS AND UPROOTS THE ONES i JUST PUT IN THE GRAVEL- I never taught him additude - lol

  • I knew those fish were like puppies! I am going out and buying one tomorrow! I KNEW IT! Awesome Video!

  • Aw... it's like having an aquatic puppy!
