Description now updated. It was shot in the late Spring of 2008 in the Bitterroot Mountain range of SW Montana, near Conner. This is the first of 4 parts in which an ariel tour of the 2000 firestorm area is given. Part 2 is a Forester's perspective giving more detail on forest management and logging.Part 3 shows how heli-logging works, as described by the pilot and crew. Part 4 goes into the end of the production line of re-claiming these trees that were killed by fire and beetles.
