I grew up on this hill. Better than "Blackstrap" which is built out of garbage. For a province that is mostly flat, there options are very limited. Since this video, they have added 2 more runs, 1 tube hill as well as removed the T-Bar and added another quad chair....for those who want to go to the mountains but dont know what they are doing....go the the mountains first. We will use your money elsewhere.
That was not the black diamond. It is not visible from that location. The black part of that run is a very short upper branch of that with a 25-28 degree pitch for a whopping 100-140 feet of verticle lol.
I'm from North Battleford and grew up on this 'HILL'. There is nothing extreme about it, the terrain park is fun but the features are small compared to the mountains. That said, it is what it is and is the only option around. It's a great place for kids to learn and to get your 'ski legs' before a trip to the mountains.
there is a friend of mine that lives by panorama and works there during the year except during winter... during winter he comes back to little ole saskatchewan to table mountain and works here as a ski instructor... he is a amazing snowboarder and he loves coming back here to table to board... and dont call the stuff on the terrain JUNK... if we want to go on terrain and freestyle and do tricks than we can... in fact if it was JUNK we wouldn't have it in the olympics which it is
table mountain is the best we got... what do you expect its saskatchewan... we are flat... and compared to blackstrap that was a big pile of garbage... which it actually was... a pile of garbage... this is better times two... i go to table every weekend... i learned there and i have been going for four years... i learned everything i need to know... just cause its small and not like the mountains dont diss it... its all we got and we love it
I went there today. I went skiing there and Tubing! Are you Andi? If you are please say hi to Jason (My Instructor for skiing day on Tuesday and wensday. I go to Battleford Central School.)
I wasn't 'dising" it - as you put it , as much as it really is just an honest assessment and opinion about Table Mountain> But opinions differ from person to person and thats OK as well. It doesn't make one less accurate that the other - it is opinion based on experience and preference.
i was there with my class on March 18th. i was on the lift and there was this super-hott-bangin- guy in front of me & my friend. i told her to say 'hey' for me and she did and him and his friends looked back. i felt like i was stalking him tho, cause i would wait at the top of the hill till he came then go down the same trail... i <3 the terrain park!!
agreed this mountain blows.. i useta be from north battleford but moved to bc.. KICKING HORSE MOUNTAIN RESORT is one of the best hills in the world.. check it out.. now thats serious riding
@kevinhodges73 agreed... i have been here sooooooooooooooooo many times... at least we got something or else 70% of the people living in the saskatoon/north battleford area wouldn't even know how to ski/board!! This is the place i learned...
It is really only people who seriously don't know any better that would say that! Like I said - it is ok for learning but as for any serious Boarding/skiing - it is a waste of time trying to do it here. People can get as defensive about it as they like - I'm not out to slag the place but rather just stating a point in fact! Besides - the video speaks for itself.
I think you’re a bit of a ski snob. As a kid I skied here as often as I could. It’s much bigger now & I never found it boring. This is where I learned to love the sport & develop my skill. When I moved to Calgary I skied often at Sunshine & Louise. Now with a family I find it too expensive to ski in the Rocky Mountains more than twice a year. We still ski at a Table Mountain when we come to visit family in N.B. & my kids enjoy it as much as they enjoy the Rockies. Great value for your dollar!
Its a fucking blast on a skidoo ha, especially the terrain park.

Thats OK Kevy - no need to go get all defensive. If you feel better calling it a Mountain then you go right ahead and call it that.

BTW - a bit of trivia for you - Table Mountain has a higher elevation and has longer runs than those at Canada Olympic park in Calgary.
