  • Any posts of Do Lord anywhere?

  • thats some fancy word sayin...prob took em 50 trys tho

  • My dad bought me a tape recorder for Christmas one year and I wondered why he had bought me what I wanted, because it rarely happened. The following Saturday I was sitting on the floor in front of our floor model tv, taping this show, which I did every Saturday from then on. I hated every second of it. My dad is gone now and I just found these clips on here yesterday and have already shown my 8 year old son several, laughing with him and telling him how much my dad loved it. Thanks Dad. <3

  • I'm from the UK and I have never seen Archie Campbell before but I like this style of gentle humour. I'll have to look at some more clips now - great posting.

  • Well, considering how many times(each week) they used some of these skits, I'm sure they had it down to a science after the third or fourth year.

  • Thanks allen...all these clips bring back a lo t of good memories!

  • Classic Archie Campbell driving the censors crazy with sloppin your dripper

You don't realize how good Hee Haw was

for the time period. Loved the girls on the show at a young age!!!!!

  • Look at 1:35 over and over...

It's the pinnacle of literary achievement!

Here are the lyrics to aid in your study!

You took off your peg leg your wig and your glass eye

You were surprised at the look on my face

I wanted to kiss and hug you my darlin

but you were scattered all over the place.

Trade in your Shakespeare, Beethoven and Mozart, buy all the Hee Haw episodes and head for your own private desert island...

  • @TeflonBalls Amen brother. I love those lyrics

  • Love Archie!

  • Lovg live Archie Campbell

  • Why doesnt some of these great writers we have bring some of the ol time variety shows like this one back.sure there are good sitcoms but there havent been anything like these shows since the 70's.pure funny at its best.

  • The spoonerism routine is simply PRICELESS.

The 'that's bad, that's good' routine is more than likely a carryover from vaudeville.

  • at the last second there looks like Junior is laughing like heck

  • I loved Archie's gags when I was a kid, and all these years later, he's still funny- you know it had to be tough to get all the words right (wrong?) Isn't that called Spoonerisms?

  • I love love love this! Thanks for sharing!

  • sad blisters....lmao.....wish they did this kind of comedy today, maybe the world wouldnt be in such a mess

  • He always struck me as a good guy. a friend of mine in Nashville speaks very highly of to this day.
