omg i was in this erea at salina kansas at the koa with my nephews and mom and dad i was passing through east of abilene and and to visit my ex girlfreind and the tornado siren started going off on 6-11-08 in the evening my word talk about kaoss at its finest glad it miss everyone . that why i will not live in texas or kansas safe in colorado until the 14 earthquakes that just happen and a 5.3 shook my small town of aguilar colorado i guess were not all safe lmao!!!!!! hey mom i am a "rockin"
My Family had Hail Damages of Baseball n Softball Size Hails... Good Thing that we werent there in Salina,ks when it happened.. We were on Vacation when We heard from the news about Tornadoes and Strong Storms hitting Salina,Ks where We live...
Oh yeah. I was visiting my mom on Elm St & was watching the wall cloud from her porch.
Power went out just as I was watching reports of a tornado in Salina so we went to the basement.
We were on the north side of town so even though the tornado missed us trees & branches were down all over her neighborhood. And I don't mean little ones. BIG branches were down & BIG trees were snapped off & uprooted.
KUDOS to the power guys. We were only without power about 2 hours or so.
