@ekalb2185 pretty much, although you could consider it an older form of dutch, same with all the other dialects we have here in belgium and the netherlands
@ekalb2185 Yes it is; Belgians have always called it Flemish, even before they became independent. Of course there are a few differences, especially with word usage; other than that, it is the SAME LANGUAGE. Don't let people tell you otherwise ;)
@ekalb2185 Yes, in the essention it is , there are a few words that are diffirent , and the accents are way diffrent :p , u can somewhat relate it to English - American , the Americans have the Beard-in-the-throath voices , while the English have the softer (and funnyer) voices :p (the Dutch have the English-like voice, and the Flandrians have the American-like voice :) )
@ekalb2185 you can compare it to english - dutch and flemish pretty much have the same diffrences like you have between 'american english' and 'british english'
wahahaha that was soooo funny! And she is doing great though!!! A lot of people who doesn't speak dutch at all, are doing it very weard, but you're doing great! Always funny to hear someone else talking in dutch/flemish.

Het zebrapad in de Katelijnestraat hebben ze uitgebroken omdat alle toeristen zowieso op straat (lees, in de weg) lopen.
lol
