  • AWWWH what a sweet dog he is - that must have hurt but he didn't really react! Boy it's a good thing you got ALL of that puss out of him - that could have turned dangerous!

  • Kevin you such a good dog.

  • Awww

  • Awh. Poor baby.

  • that poor baby! he was being so good!

  • the poor darling...what a precious dog...

  • @bluemusicpeace :he's all fine now, got him operated.... recovering at the moment, another week and his stiches will be taken off..... I would strongly recommend getting it done by a vet than yourself... in his case, the pus was oozing into the muscle tissues and blood stream than coming out of the body... :)

  • U can tell he knows that u r helping him with that infection and it must have been a good relief for him all that poison squeezed out Great Pup

  • why was it coming out of his ear? when you are squeezing on his neck?

  • aww poor puppy! I feel so bad for him! Glad he's all better... What a good dog too, he sat through that like a champ!

  • Hope she's doing better!

  • oh my...that must have been painful for him..he dog is soo sweet he wudnt even growl at u!! :)

  • Poor puppy

  • Poor sweetie! Good to know he's okay now.

  • @rocknrolljunkie21: probably you could have done a better job by getting him treated by a vet.

My 2.5 yr old Black male labrador just got "the largest abscess" the vet has seen in his 40 yrs career, in his thigh, heavy dose of anti-biotics contained the infection for 4 days but swelling didn't come down, he's gonna operate on him tomorrow morning, pray for him, please. Doc is wondering how he's even able to survive with that kind of pain.My "Whiskey" (yes, that's his name!) is a fighter. :)

  • poor baby

  • What a well behaved, brave puppy!!!!

  • Glad to know he is ok. My cat had one. To bad i was eating while watching this

  • Poor baby! He was so good, letting you drain it. I hope it didn't hurt him as you did it; looked like it just probably felt weird. Glad to read he's all better now :)

  • awww poor baby!!!

  • OUUUUCHHHIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Give that dog a hug and a treat for me

  • @Duane4AK The dogs got into a fight and Kevin got injured on his ear somehow from the other dog, which proceeded to become infected. It drained from the ear because thats where the initial wound that caused the infection was. The abscess wasn't that large at all.

  • One hopes he at least learned his lesson about fighting other dogs!

  • i want to hurl DX i hope he was alright? by the way.. how THE HECK, can an infection start in the neck, and the abscess for draining come from the ear!?

  • That dog is being so good that has to hurt but he/she is behaving so well you have a really good dog

  • His face looks so sweet! He has those sweet lovey eyes! I'm glad he's better!

  • poor baby):

  • Good thing he has a friend with a huge neocortex and oposable thumbs to help him.

    Man is dog's best friend!

  • poor little guy.... but you can tell that he's thinking, "oh yeah, push there... get it out...oh yeah, more.... aaghh.... oh that's good"

  • How on earth did the abscess find its way to his ear via the neck? I so glad he is better but I am puzzled.

  • omg do that in the tub

  • Poor baby, he obviously trusts and loves you!

  • umm u think its called a vet haha

  • That's a beautiful dog. Did the vet give any medications to clear it up? Any ideas what causes this? My dog looks just like yours. I'd like to know in case my dog develops this condition. Thank You

  • @ThisWillLeaveaMark its usually a drain tube to keep the drain holee open and antibiotics for about a week or 2

  • poor puppy :( I bet he feels much better now.

  • Holy fuckin Christ, hope the Dog is good !

  • lol dog's like I WANT OUT LEAVE ME ALONE haha my dog's got a tumor on his paw right now $700 BUCKS TO GET IT OFF WTF

  • OMG!

  • Glad he is feeling better!!!

  • why is it that when u squeeze the NECK it comes out of the EAR

  • Looks like an ear hematoma.

  • @KrauseVet

Nope was an infection that grew into his neck and came out his ear!

  • I don't even want to know how that smelled.

  • @mrceebees14

Smelled like more metal-y blood, haha.

  • He was very good the entire time you were working with him. I truly think that animals know when we are trying to help them. I hope he continues to feel better.

  • @kwdorst

    Yep he's all better now!

  • Poor pup! Reminds me of when a human gets a seriously infected Preauricular Sinus. There is the main swelling/abscess, and the a hole up by the ear on the side of the face. So I imagine it might have been something similar, where the abscess developed over time into a sinus tract, and at the end, the puss accumulated into the main abscessed region. As long as all is better!!! :) Take care, and thanks for sharing!

  • @megyerdon Actually, he got in a tussle with our other dog, and he got an injury in the cartilage-y part of his ear, and then his neck got all swollen with an abscess, so we went to get it lanced. After they shaved the area, my mom was holding his head in place, putting some pressure on his neck, and suddenly there was pus on her hand - icky!!-.

  • I hope your puppy gets better soon!

  • @carmy60 Thank you :)
