Fuck i love Dana but i hate how he keeps delaying this fight we've been hearing this for 2 yrs GSP and Anderson Silva cleaned their division make this fight happen before its too late
I don't see GSP submitting Silva & he has 0% chance of knocking him out. If GSP could take Silva down & not make one single mistake then he could definitely take the fight by decision. But I don't see that happening, once Silva sees the smallest opening, standing or on the ground, he's finishes the fight. And leaving an opening on the feet is deadly, just ask most of his opponents. GSP's stand up is underrated, but Silva has PINPOINT accuracy, deadly speed, crazy angles, & matrix like movement.
Silva's legacy = an unparalleled striker who capitalizes on every opening, standing or on the ground, to FINISH the fight. He not only embarrasses & decimates most of his opponents, he finishes them in amazing fashion.
GSP's legacy = dominating most of his opponents to a decision.
I'm a fan of both fighters, they both make their divisions LOOK weak because they're so damn good... but in my eyes Silva is far more impressive & in a league of his own.

Silva is 6'2 why would he ever try to shed 15lbs .. thats silly. I would make GSP move up. Silva is already thin as a twig. Dana is trying to put silva at the disadvantage because he knows GSP doesnt have a shot at a much bigger and taller Silva.
GSP has been king of the shallowest division in the UFC. The welterweight division is where just being a one-dimensional fighter is enough to get a title shot. Anderson would rag doll GSP in the first.

Yeah I have watched all 10 of Shields TV fights, 8 TKO's or Subs and against top competition. I think Mayhem and Henderson only went the distance because Strikeforce doesn't allow elbows, so ya got to posture up to throw punches.
Fighter on bottom has room to move, can see what is coming, make your strikes less effective, you only need inches to bring damage with elbows. People say it was because he was 15lbs above is natural weight, elbows!!!

Shields is a great addition to the UFC he was one of the best fighters in the world not in the UFC.
Silva is 6'2" GSP is 5'11" and gsp has a 76" reach while silva has a 77.6" reach. Silva has 1.6" reach advantage. If they both make weight it's fair game. I think gsp should move to 185. Silva is thin enough at 185 and has moved up in weight before himself gsp is perfect at 170 and wouldn't be to big at all at 185. Catchweight 180 sounds perfect.

I seriously don't think Silva comes even close to GSP's reliable cardio performances and the ability to perform consistently, he IS the best pound for pound fighter all around no questions asked because he actually fights, this isn't a dance competition it's a fight. Yeah I have watched all 10 of Shields TV fights, 8 TKO's or Subs and against top competition. I think Mayhem and Henderson only went the distance because Strikeforce doesn't allow elbows, so ya got to posture up to throw punches.
Fighter on bottom has room to move, can see what is coming, make your strikes less effective, you only need inches to bring damage with elbows. People say it was because he was 15lbs above is natural weight, elbows!!!

Silva is 6'2" GSP is 5'11" and gsp has a 76" reach while silva has a 77.6" reach. Silva has 1.6" reach advantage. If they both make weight it's fair game. I think gsp should move to 185. Silva is thin enough at 185 and has moved up in weight before himself gsp is perfect at 170 and wouldn't be to big at all at 185. Catchweight 180 sounds perfect.

I seriously don't think Silva comes even close to GSP's reliable cardio performances and the ability to perform consistently, he IS the best pound for pound fighter all around no questions asked because he actually fights, this isn't a dance competition it's a fight. You're supposed to hit your opponent not run away from them and when it comes down to it GSP understands his role as a MMA champion.

silva would prob take GSP. I like watching GSP fight alot he's one of my favorite fighters but you people who really truly think that GSP would take silva are prob just spike mma viewers lol Silva is a freak.
