Guh....for the last time, Duomo does NOT mean dome. If you are taking the class, you should know this...even wikipedia has it correct. Look up duomo on wiki, and look at the pictures of all the Duomos there are in Italy.
Duomo is a generic North Italian term for a Cathedral Church. Southern Italians use the word Duomo to distinguish the city's most important cathedral church. Santa Maria del Fiore will always be called "The Duomo" no matter, please just don't say it means dome, it doesn't.
The narrator meant to say 42 *meters* diameter, not 42 feet ;-)
