The 'guitarist' was wearing a jumpsuit, JUMPING around the stage like he was either a) self-deluded into thinking he was some kind of guitar hero or b) trying to prevent a fleet of gerbils from falling out of his asshole and onto the stage!!!
Frozen Ghost is one of the most under rated groups in Canadian history. Their first CD was by far their best with some good tunes that followed on later albums. It is such a shame they never made it big in the US. Their music is endless will always be one of the favorite Canadian bands of all time.....their music lives on forever.
I was fortunate to see these guys back in 1987 or so. Fanatastic talents both as performers and writers. I'm proud that the Canadian bands of this ilk are more about the content than the image! Great memories, thanks for the post.
The sngs, production and sounds are supurb - Arnie is a real genius - his sound and sonwriting are top notch. This is the SAME guy who made Our Lady Peace sound so damn good!

on album there is a backwards message when spun backwards it says your ruining your needle i wrote him and told him it ruined the bands on my turntable he wrote me a postcard back and said he was sorry lol seems like a pretty cool dude

Great debut album. I'm really surprised that Promises didn't do anything in the U.S. (was it even released to radio?). I do recall hearing End Of The Line and Should I See on the radio, but both songs were short-lived. Time Is The Answer is my personal favorite from this album. Been listening since '87!
arnold lanni (vocals) and wolf hassle (bass) were both in sherrif the rest of sherrif went on to form alias when the sherrif album got hot years after its original release a briant move by lanni to buy the song rights back after the album originally stiffed made him some serious cash lanni now produces albumms for our lady peace and finger 11
I tried to buy this CD for years, but it was only available in Canada. It's almost as there was some kind of legal restriction, since no other cd on the list had such a restriction.
BTW, what is the relationship between Ghost and Sherriff?
