  • I need to ask this, how do you get the added momentum for the draw, mine aren't nearly that strong.

  • Shear speed: through training with heavy weights, but if your asking for the technique itself:

    - Mind the cutting angle

    - Step forward, never draw with forearms alone(transfer the weight from the left leg to right shoulder i.e: like you're about to fall forward)

    - You get the extra "snap" from the draw by pulling the saya(scabbard) backwards with your left hand,i.e: 0:10, 0:26, 0:32 watch his left hand. And not just when draw-cutting but almost every time you wield your katana single-handed.

  • -very strong forearms from practice.

    -watch the hip and back leg kickout for power and balace.
