Yeah, it's true that it is easier to actually get off the ground when your feet are strapped in, but It evens out eventually. Lemme explain.
It takes a lot more time when skateboarding to get good enough to do some minor tricks, jumps, and rails than it does snowboarding, so that's why Snowboarders are able to do cool stuff sooner. But here's where it evens out.(nextpost)
Because it's a lot faster, our stunts are bigger than skateboarder's. Our jumps, Rails, pipes, anything, you name it, are bigger, faster, and heavier. A jump that would be 20ft high and 50ft long probably wouldn't be imagined by someone who's been skateboarding for 3 years, yet I and most other people have done those stuff when they've been snowboarding for 2 years or maybe 3-4.
Both sports look amazing and beautiful, and both are hard to master. But once you master each of them, it's worth it. I do both, but I'm better at snowboarding (derr).

because the boards not strapped to our feet, the same reason why theres more possiblities in skateing, the board and spin and flip without you doing it. how many snowboarders kickflip back tail bigspin out handrails. wasn't tryin to hate anyways dude, just sayin.
