I'm getting ready to step up from windows movie maker. Should I purchase Sony Vegas Pro 10 or Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 Production Suite? I know by the price range which one is better, but are there really and significant differences for the purpose of making amvs that I should purchase pro 10 instead of the production suite? Thanks in advance.

I've got to say that Alcik85 is the best amv ediot I have seen. I really don't say this much. Probably my first time actually saying this. But his bleach emptiness was out of this world. His latest was also great.

@HeavenRemixAmvs Lol someone telling me to be patient? Hahaha. Look at my reply to kurosoul45. I know how many videos there are and I know he has a life. However he could at least give us some kind of update. He's done this two years in a row now with this being his third year so he should know what to expect by now. The deadline for last year's contest was July 10th and he got results out by August 12th. If he sat aside an hour or two for judging then two months should be enough.

a) you got the words container and codec mixed up. AVI IS a container

b) huffy or lag would be a HORRIBLE idea. They're the biggest of all (esp. huffy)! Those are codecs you would want to edit with, not distribute an AMV in. And last time I checked, you can't upload anything lossless to youtube (that might have changed though)

c) the sentence structure in that comment hurt my brain

@Alcik85 hahahaha dvdrips movies have 600mb and have 1:30 h lenght, even if you have 2 times higher resolution, it wil never ever have 1,8 gb. Read tutorials before you start having fun with editing.
