@bluegrassman776 That is very cool. My buddy Jake and I are fooling with Sugar Foot Rag and Clinch Mt Backstep in the same fashion now also. Keep pickin'!
Lovely but no need for that highly irritating metronome. Also you should do it on mandolin because it sounds better on that particular instrument. Nevertheless great stuff.
@flashofthegap1200 - thanks for the cool comment! I will definitely check out the flat pickin suggestions, because I love to flat pick! Keep on pickin!
Thanks for listening, and thank you for taking the time to post a comment. Good luck with the penny whistle. That must be pretty tricky on a tune like this! ~Paul
It's as close as I can get playing 'solo' without having a banjo, mandolin, fiddle, or another guitar to trade off with! Thanks for the comments and for checking the music out. ~Paul
Yes, they are a collection of old cassette tapes! Dude, thanks for checking out the music - I went to your new site - looks good. What is the best format to get you some of my music - mp3?
The chord structure works itself out of a 'G' position (which is tonally actually 'A' - as the capo is on the 2nd fret). So, in order the chords would be G, C, F, C, G, C, F, C, D, G - for the 1st part. Keep in mind these are the chord 'shapes' with the capo on the 2nd fret. part B goes something like this -G (hold) to F (hold) to G (hold) then F, C, D, G and repeat part B one more time. Then start from the beginning again.
Nice porch pickin' brother. You made it look easy and it ain't. Haven't heard that Dan Crary rhythm/lead style for a long time; you've inspired me to stop sodding around playing fiddle leads and get inside the whole thing. Thanks
Hey I just wanted to check in on you. I have a couple of other bluegrass tunes I recently posted. Have you been playing much? Thanks for stopping by! ~ Paul

@MusicalGhoul
Thanks for checking it out.
I would not say that it sounds better on a mandolin - just as unique and beautiful. Thanks for stopping by and keep picking!

Really nice playing, Paul but please ditch the metronome! It's really distracting.

I like how you use the metronome to play the upbeats. That is clever :)
