  • Wow! amazing!

  • @inosingenglish Thank you!!!

  • me and my friend play this one all the tim . except its old joe clarkd and salt creek

  • @bluegrassman776 That is very cool. My buddy Jake and I are fooling with Sugar Foot Rag and Clinch Mt Backstep in the same fashion now also. Keep pickin'!

  • Lovely but no need for that highly irritating metronome. Also you should do it on mandolin because it sounds better on that particular instrument. Nevertheless great stuff.

  • @MusicalGhoul

    Thanks for checking it out.

I would not say that it sounds better on a mandolin - just as unique and beautiful. Thanks for stopping by and keep picking!

  • Really nice playing, Paul but please ditch the metronome! It's really distracting.

  • @oilcan1954

Thanks for the comments. Check out some of the other videos we have posted.

  • irish love!

  • Well done. Just learned the tune myself on the penny whistle.

  • Thanks for listening, and thank you for taking the time to post a comment. Good luck with the penny whistle. That must be pretty tricky on a tune like this! ~Paul

  • I like how you use the metronome to play the upbeats. That is clever :)

  • It's as close as I can get playing 'solo' without having a banjo, mandolin, fiddle, or another guitar to trade off with! Thanks for the comments and for checking the music out. ~Paul

  • great picking!!!

  • Thank you MrLucky923! I appreciate your comments.

  • are those cassettes in the background? I remember those thingys...lol

  • Yes, they are a collection of old cassette tapes! Dude, thanks for checking out the music - I went to your new site - looks good. What is the best format to get you some of my music - mp3?

  • cool you have some decent mobility in your fingers. :)

  • i effin love this clip B. classic stuff.

  • What us Suspecto!

  • this is a Martin HD28?

  • Yes. This guitar is a Martin HD 28 (1987).

  • Great Medley and very nice 'B' part to Salt Creek. You've given something to work on. Thanks, Mike

  • Mike, thanks for your comments. Hope you are playing a ton!

  • Great playing man

  • Thank you for checking it out.

  • Very nice solo work! You give that old guitar somethin to do!!Wish i could play my fiddle with ya!

  • Me too! Keep playin!

  • Hey Nephew, sounds good. The Unk. I bet you play a mean Guitar Hero.

  • Could you give me the guitar chords for salt creek? I would like to be able to follow along with that one. Any help is appreciated.

  • The chord structure works itself out of a 'G' position (which is tonally actually 'A' - as the capo is on the 2nd fret). So, in order the chords would be G, C, F, C, G, C, F, C, D, G - for the 1st part. Keep in mind these are the chord 'shapes' with the capo on the 2nd fret. part B goes something like this -G (hold) to F (hold) to G (hold) then F, C, D, G and repeat part B one more time. Then start from the beginning again.

  • Nice porch pickin' brother. You made it look easy and it ain't. Haven't heard that Dan Crary rhythm/lead style for a long time; you've inspired me to stop sodding around playing fiddle leads and get inside the whole thing. Thanks

  • Hey I just wanted to check in on you. I have a couple of other bluegrass tunes I recently posted. Have you been playing much? Thanks for stopping by! ~ Paul
