The federal EPA violates the constitution, there should only be state EPA. Granting the federal government that power gives them an oppurtunity to control people's lives and businesses and the idea of the federal government is to prevent that. You need to look at how this country was developed. Each state's delegate proposed admendments to the constitution but many were thrown out because they only benefited certain states and not all. A federal EPA benefits certain states but not all equally....

Ever since Carter this country has been moving more and more to the right of the political spectrum... the end result being what you see today. Reagan and the republicans of the 80's would be considered lefty's by the average republican leadership today. There is nothing inherently evil about it. It's simply a system that has yet to work, and is not meant to work. It has been used to evil ends by evil people.
Fascism is inherently evil, no good can come from it. And a Capitalist system like ours, combined with an imperialistic and militant nation such as ours, is far more likely to lead to Fascism. I'm a conservative Christian. I think this view point he is expressing shows lack of compassion and understanding. We don't know whether the lady stuck in the car is old, if she has some mental problems, she wasn't thinking right because of the heat or anything... there's little benefit of the doubt here. I don't care who she voted for, I don't like Obama and his policies, but I will rarely make fun of someone when I don't know all the facts.

I expressed my view, I thinks its a huge assumption to jump to conclusions that someone is a liberal because they may have a dumb moment. @Balsology Liberal trends have destroyed this country on the federal level. Being progressive is great at the state but on the federal level it is unconstitutional and creates the problems we have. Social security was fine until the average life expectancy went up(thanks FDR), the federal EPA is a joke, so is federal income tax(devoloped in 1865 as a "temporary" tax), people are tired of big federal gov. controlling lives. I use to be a bigoted party follower like you, then I learned to read.

@Balsology Ending slavery followed the basic roots of the constitution, granting man freedom, same with women rights and voting. I am not against progressive ideas, I just want them to be dealt with at the local level when it isn't mentioned in the constitution. The federal EPA violates the constitution, there should only be state EPA. Why should Wyoming pay taxes to fund an EPA when they deal with different enviromental problems than California (especially LA).....

Each individual EPA does inforce local enviornmental laws AS WELL AS national, such as pollutants in public water ways etc...

This country was founded as Equality for all (provided that you were 21, owned property, were white and a man) freakin' read the constitution. If that's not what the founders wanted then why is that what were given? It was constant pressure from Progressives against the bigotry of conservative ideology that changed that.

@Balsology I am not for the original constitution, I am for the basic idea of it have granting man(no matter what race or sex) basic rights granted by the federal government that the federal government can't use to gain power over its citizens, and if anything allows us to keep it in check. All the other powers would be granted to the states. I know that there are state EPA which is a states constitutional right but nowhere does it say that the federal government has the right....

@Balsology ....to enforce environmental laws, that is a state issue. Granting the federal government that power gives them an oppurtunity to control people's lives and businesses and the idea of the federal government is to prevent that. You need to look at how this country was developed. Each state's delegate proposed admendments to the constitution but many were thrown out because they only benefited certain states and not all. A federal EPA benefits certain states but not all equally....

@Balsology .....A local EPA would benefit its state because they know their environmental issues and how to deal with them. Different states deal with different issues. Same with health care, jobs, transportation, etc. The basic idea of the constitution was that the federal government grants all man(all race and sex) protection from foreign enemies(foreign affairs), provide a universal currency that is good in all states, and grant basic rights that the US citizens can use.....

Right to a fair trial, freedom of religion so we aren't policed by the federal government. Those rights states can't take away. Every other rights were granted to the states. I don't support the original constitution, I support the basic idea of it. You should research some history on how this country was designed and you will see what I mean.

@whyamimrpink78 The supreme court disagrees with you. The Supreme court upholds the EPA to protect the Health, welfare and enviornment of the people of the united states. So I assume you also believe the FBI would be more effective with only local FBI's?
You don't understand how the EPA works, please actually go visit your state's EPA office and talk with them. I'm sure you'll learn something.
The EPA is pefectly Constitutional, because it was commissioned by Congress...

@Balsology Just because the supreme court decided to become liberal for a little bit doesn't mean the whole country has to go broke and suffer. I will admit, I don't know much about the EPA, but what I do know is that it shouldn't be ran by the federal government, it should be a state issue. Nowhere in the constitution does it say that the federal government can control the environment. It does say that anything not listed is granted to the state, meaning the EPA......

If the EPA starts regulating businesses on the state level they move to another state, at the federal level they leave the country along with jobs. Also, like I said, if the federal government controlled the EPA then they can control peoples live and businesses something the founding fathers didn't want.
