  • i`d say record yourself and then let it play in a loop near him. Get back after some days and maybe you`ll get lucky enough to hear something close to what you played him :) I`d say be carefull thou, you may listen to it for the rest of both your lives :D

  • The parrot says FUCK OFF lol and just watching

  • do you spray him with water often, it helps him feel clean, just like us haveing dirty hair , it makes us itch,

  • Congratulations! What a great idea to ask for help on youtube. My parrot plucks his pin feathers and eats them. He also plucks his legs. How did you get Hank to stop plucking? Thanks for whatever advice you can give me to help my cockatoo Geronimo.

  • hes either bored thats why hes plucking himself. or he might have bugs...

main problem could be he wants a partner??

  • Thanks for your ideas. Geronimo doesn't have mites; he had a vet visit recently. I really doubt if he is bored because he has plenty of toys, affection, and entertainment. I did not think about wanting a partner could cause him to pluck. What do I do about that?

  • thumbs up for no mites!! :)

sometimes just leave the radio on or the tv for him to be occupied. most of the time my parrot just wants company to hang with. lolz

if not a partner then erm...get a lil budgie...im sure they will both have a good natter with each other.

also change its surroundings. like leave the cage by a window so he can see outside, dont leave him outside. hed probably knock ur door dwn! hehe

  • Thanks again! He has his own personal radio with a timer. He is my only pet and I have no children or husband; therefore he gets lots of loving. He is entertained by my nephews and nieces quite often. His cage is by a window, but he is out free for hours a day. Could I put a budgie in the cage with him. I have thought about getting another bird, but haven't researched that idea enough. I hope all your ideas also help others to get their birds to stop plucking.

  • erm yea get a budgie but not in his cage! its his house!! lol

aww just the 2 of u. how sweet.

  • Thanks. I will seriously consider getting a budgie. What about any other kind of bird? If a second bird is a different breed, will the first bird still be bonded to the owner?

  • any type of bird will do. ask ur local pet shop for any advice.....im sure they will help u in selecting a bird.

when my budgie was playing around with my parrot I WAS THE ONE WHO GOT LEFT IN THE DARK CORNER. they bonded extremly well

  • Goodness! I do not want my bond with Geronimo broken. He is my only source of affection at this time. Thanks for all your replys. I will ask the pet stores about getting Geronimo a friend, but I would prefer to get a bird from a rescue center. I wish all rescue birds would be adopted before anyone else buy one from a pet store or breeder.

  • yea true.... rescue birds here in uk is not common at all...

all the best with u and ur birdy x-x-x

  • This is great oh I wish more people would see this ! I have a timneh on you tube Greys are awesome .. he will get used ot your camera the more he see's you with it : )

  • heheh
