Don't fly out of this airport! You can video record anywhere in an airport you want to, including TSA checkpoints, as long as you are not obstructing them in their work. (Must be what's in the water out west...)
The police were clearly professionals and I have no doubt they have already done their homework and will undoubtedly handle this situation differently next time.
@lawdog494 I'm just not sure how you can claim the police were professional. They clearly didn't know the regulations, but claimed that they did and were blatantly lying to him and intentionally trying to intimidate him into unlawful compliance which is par for the course. With statements such as "Well, you can be arrested, then you can check into it even more". Then lying about the requirement to produce ID. I just don't see the professionalism you're claiming.
I am a police officer at National Reagan Airport. I just want to say, from what was shown here, the only people causing public disorder and possibly an assault and battery, are the TSA guys. The police looked and acted in a professional manner, but appears from this video they failed to conduct a proper initial investigation when they arrived at the scene. Separate complainants from suspect, interview all involved. Make an assessment of situation to determine if any laws are being violated. I'm
FUCKING TSA ASSHOLES..."You are causing a commotion!" HUH? They are causing the commotion. He wasnt doing anything. The TSA started the "commotion". THEY were the ones that disturbed the peace. He was just observing the airport with his camera.
Just watching this makes me angry. The TSA doesnt have a bright future pulling this shit. We need to BOYCOTT any non essential air travel. Lets sink the airlines until THEY demand that the TSA is removed/rebuilt.
Ur a retard, when u gonna confront this people u have to have on hand all this regulations and documents, unless u were doing it to get arrested on porpuse ur a dumb muda f%^&*
@S2000F20CVTEC Wait a minute, you're saying that the citizen need to carry around the regulations that the government agents are claiming to enforce? How does that make any sense. Shouldn't the people enforcing the regulation be the one carrying said document?
@S2000F20CVTEC ur a retard Phil Mocek did not have his ID with him at the airport, but his camera saved him . The bully TSA agents arrest him for "disturbing the peace", about 14 months later, just recently, a jury of found him NOT GUILTY!!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I want to shove that federal checkpoint up the TSA's asses! I want to choke out every one of these "tough guys" (except the camera operator and his witness).
Actually F that I want to choke out the people who sit up in the cushy offices and make the "rules and regulations" that they themselves probably don't have to comply with. If things were like the Old West where gov't corruption = dead official things would be better. Sorry that's the truth.
What happened sux. Humans are humans though, I don't care what type of training you get: lawyer, judge, cop or sports ref. When you act as an aggressive opponent, you make them treat you like it. I know you weren't yelling and weren't doing nothing major, but stuff like this makes people in "authority" position feel uncomfortable and they don't know how to react either than being drastic. I would've dropped the whole recording their faces and stuck to talking about the flight.
@pmocek the whole ï know my rights" act. You are drilling them about laws and regulations and also taping them. They will always turn on you. It makes them nervous, They know if they let you win that one, you could post it on youtube and make them look like idiots. I'm not against you, but I just know its a bad idea to do this. I played the same card with the police before, they got nervous, they felt cornered with my questions, they turned on me like a mob.
@Pafoofnik1 yeah, good for him for taking this one for the team. At the end of the day no charges will hold. But at that very moment you can never win. Police are mobsters.
These rent a cops and police are insane..They just make chargers up to justify their power..Its really stupid..Just to let everybody know an albuquerque jury cleared phil mocek of all charges. So you dont have to show TSA id.
@TheDman216 Those weren't rent-a-cops. They were security guards from the U.S. Transportation Security Administration and police officers from the Albuquerque Aviation Police Department.
@TheDman216 It is, there was no problem in recording them.. An authority/public figure(s) should have no problem being recorded, unless they have something(s) to hide. In this day in age they should be trained for those situations. Surely there must be cameras recording them their anyways, throughout the building. But it is his right to record authority, especially when he knows they are going to be oppressive and twist things around, nothing new.
Ah typical mindless wave of immigrants have come to this country and haven't actually checked into what the rules are in this country. I know their pepe and tyrone that the shitholes your family came from did not allow people "rights" as we call them here in America but if your going to be in a law enforcement position you might wanna bone up on those their laws. Your family came here for a reason try to learn why, be part of the good in this country not a mindless despot.
@jck148think it's ok. I on the other hand see the TSA presence as a act of everyone is a possible threat you are all against us(government) so we must search you all like possible terrorists. That means the government sees you as an enemy. If you don't think anything is wrong with that, well nothing I say will change your mind bahhaaaaaa, bahhhaaaa. If you want to be treated like an adult and have me stop bahhaaaing at you stop asking for apologies from a man you don't deserve to lick his shoe.
@jck148 bahhaaaa bahhaaaaa. Now in English for the non sheeples out there. Go through airport security decline to go through the x ray machine. Tell them I would rather just go through the metal detector as I have been doing for the past 19 years. They(TSA) look at you and start licking their faggot lips. Ok were going to have to pat you down up to your crotch and then pat your ass. So, in review this man was trying to prove that we don't have to be sexually abused just because people like you
@jck148 I didn't violate any law. In January, 2011, the State of New Mexico prosecuted me in criminal court. A jury found me not guilty of all charges. The state's case was so weak, I didn't testify or present any evidence.
@pmocek Mr Mocek. Yes you were found not guilty. I just don't understand why people make what appears to me to be unnecessary trouble just for the sake of doing so. Pehaps you have a different view on rights freedoms and other items than I do and I just thank God that we live in a country where we can respectfully disagree. I am willing to apologize about my previous comment of you making me "sick" if you are willing to acknowledge that some of us don't understand why you did it.
@jck148 Trust me we have his kind over here in the UK, one man tried to enter a criminal court with a video camera once and was doing the usual my freedoms crap when he was surrounded by security and police, another instance was a man who filmed outside the American embassy for no reason and wanted to know why armed police arrived, people like him just go out to cause trouble so they can become youtube revolutionairies but if you ask me their fucking retards
@jck148 Some people don't understand why other people stand up for our rights instead of taking the easy route and capitulating to "Papers, please!" demands as if they live in Soviet Russia.
@jck148 The only people making trouble in this situation were the TSA staff and the airport police. I was politely going about my lawful business when they began harassing me, then locked me in a cage and accused me of things I did not do.
There's nothing for you to apologize about. You implied that I disobeyed the law, but I did not. I acknowledge that some people don't know why I arranged for air transportation and went to the airport. I did so in order to travel home from a conference.
The airport police are real cops that have jurisdiction, the tsa guys are federal officers, thats a federal check point, I seen this women spit on a tsa officer than on an airport cop, the cop slammed her face on the steel table so hard it made an indention. Why do you do this, just freaken go through and fly to your destination brother. like the rest of us.
@johlylyyaya The TSA staff who were involved are not law enforcement officers; they are airport security guards. You asked why I did this. To what do you mean to refer? I went to the airport with a valid boarding pass, presented it to the security guard, then documented the process that followed.
@pmocek I tried to apply for that job at the airport, they told me go to usajobs.gov because its with department homeland security, I need a job, damn you, you go and you fuck around with federal officers while people like me are hungry, i wish i was able to fly around like you, wanna trade places? wanna live in the ghetto, its great here , you can fuck around with these crack whores,
@johlylyyaya TSA staff aren't law enforcement officers; they're just security guards, like at a mall, but hired by the public instead of by the mall owner. They don't have the power to arrest or to detain, so they call in the local police and tell them what to do. In this case, Albuquerque Aviation Police Officer Robert F. "Bobby" Dilley lied repeatedly about the incident. No surprise to those who are aware of the multiple civil rights lawsuits the City of Albuquerque have settled on his behalf.
@pmocek mall cops my ass, I just tried to apply, you cant even have a criminal record, and you cant owe any child support, Damn fucken white man always fucken holding back a black man with these bullshit rules, They violating my civil rights, Whats child support have to do with national security, how my supposed to pay with out a job, man fuck these niggaz
@johlylyyaya: Do you have proof that non-black people with criminal records or that owe child support are being hired, while black people with criminal records or that owe child support are not being hired?
For those saying that this guy was in the wrong: This is civil disobedience. This man broke no laws. He was harassed, punished, stolen from, and lied to. He deserves direct reparations from the organizations that are to blame for the crimes committed against him. Our laws are plain and simple concerning these things.
@Aitamen Thanks for the supportive words. I didn't disobey anyone, though. TSA staff asked, but did not order, me to put down my camera. Officer Dilley repeatedly told me what would happen if I did or did not do other things, but the first order he delivered was to accompany him, and I did so promptly.
It seems like the gentleman filming this was just looking to cause trouble. How does this make liberty-minded people look like anything other than instigators? This is harmful, not helpful, to toe cause.
@DarthVil I am that gentleman. At what time in the video do you get the impression that I was "looking to cause trouble"? I was looking to fly home from a conference.
@pmocek The video comes across as though you're filming for the intent of upsetting them, making a stink to prove a point, and then painting a worse picture than what it is. I don't like these measures, either, however every time that I've seen a video of people filming TSA agents, or filming police on the streets, those who are filming are always trying to agitate the officers, in order to get a negative reaction, and then they use this to make them look worse than they are.
@DarthVil@pmocek This doesn't help the cause, at all. It makes everyone who is against these unconstitutional measures look like instigators, troublemakers, and cooks. It is very self-defeating.
@DarthVil What about my filming leads you to believe that my intent was to upset anyone? Officers Dilley, De La Pena, and Wiggins all lied about my interaction with them. If I had not recorded the incident, I almost certainly would have been convicted of things that I did not do.
Everyone who interacts with TSA airport security guards should record that interaction. You never know what they're going to do, or what they'll accuse you of if your lawful behavior bothers them.
@DarthVil Regardless of how reality comes across in the video, my intent was to fly home. TSA staff lied about their policies, and the police lied about my actions. They put me in jail when there was no reason to suspect I had done anything wrong. They are as bad as they looked.
@pmocek OMG Phil that is so clear to me too! Why do people feel that YOU are the one causing trouble here just because you prefer not to relinquish any of your GOD given and CONSTITUTIONALLY recognized rights as a human being??!!
What happened to you pisses me off, but what truly saddens me is that anything less than 100% of The People are behind you on this.
Man this shit make my blood boil. It's not even happening to me, or even in my country but I'm so angry! I love how they can't answer your questions, so they basically muscle you into compliance. "concealing identification" fucking hilarious as you don't even have it on you. What a bunch of cunts. I'm sad for your country. Fight the power, question "authority"!
100% agree with you. Though at this point I'm afraid we are left with very few options. We'll let the legal and political process run its course first. ;)
Thank you kindly for having the Courage to uphold the Honor of our American Condstitutional Republic against Universally despised Bolshevik pond scum.
Trying to expain concepts like Constitutional Rights, American Honor, Human Dignity, Morality, Honesty, Logic, or just plain Common Sense to TSA's ignorant ghetto trash is like trying to explain analytical geometry to a fruit fly.
TSA's disease spreading sex offenders are Domestic Enemies and soon to be despised CANCER PATIENTS.
As usual the only ones disturbing the peace were the TSA and what do they tell the public, if you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear. Typical ignorant TSA haven't got a clue on decency and the constitution,. always double speak and lies and out and out deception.
wow that got me real fucking fired up and pissed... if I was there I would've helped you out bro, but damn I'd have to hold back from yelling "NAZIS!!" and punching one of them... of course I wouldn't have attacked anyone, I don't do that, but God its so stressful dealing with Robots that just follow disgusting orders and don't even care about liberty or freedom... >.<
You're the man for standing up for yourself! I think I'm going to do that just to make notice of the tyranny going on!
America as I remember it is just a distant memory. Never has a country fallen so far, so fast, in the estimation of the worlds population. It's a crying shame that it's gone forever. You're in a prison without bars (yet)
I just don't fly but one day TSA or some other federal agency will be in places that I can't avoid going to so I hope people like Ron Paul and others are successful in ending this nonsense. I'm not a prisoner so stop treating me like one.
The irony of only asking for cash for going through this bullshit is that no TSA employees have to pay that; every dime comes from the taxpayer's pocket
Would it be considered illegal to join the TSA and wear a WWII SS Uniform to work? Swastikas and all. I wouldn't subject the people to the pat downs, but I'd wear it just to show the folks who they're dealing with.
@lolanimations it is not illegal. i say go for it. so long as you don't "touch" the people you're defending, rather, make the TSA look bad, you shouldn't have any problems. you might get questioned by any supervisor, but you can tell them "freedom of speech" and add "i don't agree with the nazi policy despite what i'm wearing, it's for fashion only". and yes, you can wear a custom uniform to that job. it doesn't have to be the standard black pants blue shirt.
Ohh yeah now that is the fucking free AmeriKa! That is why people from CIVILIZED part of the earth doesn't want to visit that Zionist shit hole! You are all pussies and pussies doesn't deserve liberty nor freedom! Zionist IsraHell owns you and better obey!
Its sick that this guy gets arrested for NO reason and a child killer id Florida goes free. Who are these fucking cops to erase your phone? These scum try enforce laws that they imagine. Keep it up cops, your day is coming. Your going to piss off the wrong person and you wont be going home that night. You need to change your ways. They went through your bags, erased your camera- I hope you sue them into the ground.
It is going to get worse, most of these goons were US troops in Iraq/Afghatan--they killed so many innocent folks. To them pukes all civilians R potential dead meat targets. I noticed some posters using the term NAZI--ever wondered where/how the term came from ? Ashkenaism!--the most feared Eastern european tribe which converted to Judaism im 1200AD .They own you today--Usuckers.Same Ashkenazie that brought you 911 has made million$ on TSA scanners {:^/
TSA SCUM. This is directly to the scum agents in this video. How does it feel to have the whole world know you are TRASH? Has your family seen this disgusting video? How do your kids feel about you being a Nazi?
Face up to it America, your country is now a police state and your constiution has been torn up. Congratulations for electing Obama, a tool of the fascist political elite.
@CrankCase02 Yea, its not all him, but ok then... How about doing some research and blame Bush, Tom Ridge, Cheney, or any other asshole before Obama...
@meushubris I don't need to research Bush, Cheney, etc. Obama is now the current president who promised change for the better but, after failing to carry out his pre-election promises, has proved to not be only a great deciever, but has also continued where Bush & co left off.
@CrankCase02 Anyone self limiting their education and knowledge is not worthy of my time sadly, this seems to include you. Before I speak, I learn what Im intending to talk about, instead of making ill informed uneducated comments, making myself look like an ass!
@meushubris You are a deluded fuckwit. I'm not going to read a mountain of books approved by the likes of you before making a comment about Obama or the growing fascist empire that he serves. You claim I'm an uneducated ass, yet you have failed to even counter my arguments, but have instead resorted to the usual liberal-left stance of talking down your self-righteous nose.
@CrankCase08 lol, liberal huh? Im more a rightwinger than most my sad friend. And you dont need to read shit approved by me, but it does help to know what the fuck youre talking about. Better to be though a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
We must stand together... my American family, in strength and in arms, to CRUSH the evil tyranny of the Oligarchs and the Federal Reserve. Our first line of defense was government, now they are tainted as well. Rise up, organize, BRING THE HALLS OF CONGRESS TO IT'S KNEES...
This country is falling apart! Listen to these ignorant, power hungry goons!! "you're pushing it" Pushing what? They don't know their own regulations. This police state is a joke!! I refuse to fly and if TSA ever tried to touch me, my wife, or my kids, I would use defense.
You are not required to show TSA any ID AT ALL! 300 people, every day, fly without showing ID to ANYONE, because the TSA clearly states that it is NOT required in their own policies. Also search "how to fly without ID" and learn about what the law requires, and what laws the TSA are breaking, every day.
4th of July has come and gone... but little mention has been made of the soldiers who fight for our freedoms. Lots of people remembering the service men and women who fight to keep British, Japanese, and Taiwan gas prices down (often guised as a fight for our "freedom"). Phil Mocek is a true American freedom fighter, fighting for our rights on our own soil.
Please sue the individuals involved in your unlawful detainment and not the state. Otherwise it will be the tax payers that pay your entitlement, not the individuals that violated your rights.
Make sure you listen to RULE OF LAW RADIO M and TH 8-10 and F 8-12 midnight.
Even if you have a lawyer, know what your lawyer should be doing for you. If you don't have a lawyer (which is a THOUSAND times better) know what you can do for yourself. I am not affiliated with RoLR, but I have neen a listener for 2 YEARS and they are the best show on the internet, by far (yes, even better than Jones :)) and will teach YOU how to fight back and WIN! even in a corrupt legal system, such that we have.
You must be under LAWFUL ARREST in order to be sited for "Failure to ID" and ONLY THEN is it required to give your name, birthdate, and address. You are NEVER required to give them anything other than STATING your name, birthdate, and address.
Flase imprisonment, illegal detention, official oppression, assault, and malicious prosecution. All crimes, all rights violations, all massive lawsuits that should be filed against the TSA and the Albequerque Police, individually, and as a cop shop.
F the TSA and the police!!!! Us Americans can't travel without ID or getting felt up, but did anyone hear of the Nigerian man who got on a plane with no ID and no real boarding pass, but they take off a 95 year old adult diaper. Just like they say this is for our safety, but yet our boarders are wide open.
@pmocek I am glad you didn't backdown and stood up for yourself during that situation. I have to say you sure got balls standing your ground to those people like that even when they threatened to arrest you. Keep standing up for your rights and civil liberties. All the best for the future and God bless.
@pmocek more honest Americans like you should be standing up to these blue coats. They're beligerant in forcing THIER laws upon honest Americans. It's time for more to stand up and disobey :D
@tomken8dy When I retrieved the camera from the Albuquerque Aviation Police Department, all images had been erased. I used some forensic analysis software to recover them.
@pmocek That's a serious criminal matter right there surely; destruction of evidence. Have you attempted to get an investigation or bring charges against whoever was responsible?
@pmocek these police are absolutely insipid AND stupis at the same time. Do they honestly believe they have the right to search your belongings without arrest? I sure hope you press charges against them for what they've done.
Aside from violating Phils' civil rights, the scumbag cops lied on reports, specifically that Phil was yelling "I know my rights!" Sobering indeed how willing cops are to lie on their reports and non have been disciplined, let alone fired.
How's the civil lawsuit coming along? I hope you get $17 million. A penny less would be travesty of justice.
@pmocek Fingers crossed you're going to be a rich man. I'm praying for you and advising everyone to be like you. I just don't know what's wrong with the average American regarding TSA criminality, especially considering you showed us the "way." All the best and please keep us updated. Thank you for your gallant efforts!
@jonee140 Thanks for the words of support. Are you by chance familiar with the arresting officer? Search the Web for "officer robert dilley lawsuits" to find out about the multiple federal lawsuits against him and the settlements your City has paid to avoid defending his actions in court.
@pmocek yes i had friends tell me about him b4 this video happened. 1 my friend video taped his girlfriend coming back into town and the officer got on him about it and got into a argument but his girlfriend told him just to go and that was that
"We need a civilian force as large as our Military"
Obama, 2008
They let the underwear bomber on the plane as it came out in congressional hearings and also by a certain lawyer/witness. Add "Michael Chertoff and the body scanners" to the puzzle and you'll see that it's all planned in advance. I refuse to fly.
These are the idiots our government is having 'protect' us. They are STUPID. They have far too much power for their little minds to handle. Our government doesn't know what the hell it's doing...
When you say "I understand" you are telling them that "I stand under your authority". Just remind them that I do not understand, I do not consent to a search, and when the say we're taking you in, respond with I will comply in protest and duress. Other than that no not answer any questions that will incriminate you.
But why go through all this trouble to prove a point? Classic definition of a douche bag lol. Laws this, laws that. You weren't looking for a flight home. You just wanted attention. Btw do you do this at all airports you fly from?
you are a stupid fuck, just turn the fuckin camera off. you went to an airport without an i.d.? okay so you "checked into" if you can have a camera at a security check point at the airport but you forgot to check to see if you had to carry an I.D with you at all times (not only at an airport but everywhere)
@jacobtorres25 If I had turned the camera off, I would not have had a record of what happened, and it's very likely that I would have been convicted of things I did not do. Everyone should record his or her interaction with TSA security guards and police officers. You never know when they'll lie about what happened, and people will almost always believe their story over yours.
@jacobtorres25 If there is no law stating that filming is not allowed, then why should he turn the camera off? We as citizens need to not only be aware of our rights, but exercise them too. There is no law requiring a person to have ID on them at all times. This isn't Nazi Germany. However, it seems to be quickly becoming that way, because people like you don't seem to understand that history repeats it's self unless people learn from the mistakes of the past.
HAHAHA! They should have smashed his camera, then smashed his head in. Funny, there's all kinds of videos of fucking idiots yelling fire and calling it freedom of speech.
@tylerrepotter Why do you say that? I was minding my own business, not violating any laws. These people arrested me and put me in jail, then accused me of things I did not do. Officers Dilley, Wiggins, and De La Pena committed perjury when they lied in their police reports.
@pmocek I was typing a bit extreme. This just reminds me of that video of the Canadian going over the border crossing and arguing with them the same way. My real point was that it must be nice to live in a world where you can argue or get mouthy with people who can throw you in a cage. What if they took you into a backroom and made up charges? Maybe you "had a knife" or some such nonsense. You were right, though. But now they will make that a restricted area because of this! Fight power!
@tylerrepotter Maybe you didn't watch this video. I didn't argue with anyone. And putting me in a back room and making up charges is precisely what they did. Fortunately, the jury saw through the lies.
@tylerrepotter So, let me get this straight. You're saying that this man should have been beaten for NOT breaking any laws. The judge found him completely innocent of any wrong doing, and the case was thrown out. And you're saying that not only should his personal property been destroyed, but he should have been physically assaulted too. That is beyond ridiculous. By your logic, you should be beaten simply for walking down the sidewalk and minding your own business.
@MrJohnnyOldschool Sorry, no, by my own logic you should be beaten for sticking your camera in some guys' faces who are there to "protect" you from "terrorists." They are wearing little badges and you are in an airport in a country where they think they can screen for terrorists. They said "stop filming" and the guy didn't. Whether or not it was illegal doesn't matter. It's not illegal to yell fire in a crowded theatre either. Just common sense stuff. I wasn't being too serious either, guy
@tylerrepotter Tyler, maybe you're from a police state or military dictatorship where the law is whatever people in authority say it is, but we're a nation of laws in the United States. The airport security guards had no more authority to tell me to stop filming than any other people in the airport did. I didn't refuse any order from the police. It is unlawful to yell fire in a crowded theater -- it's a very common example of a time when public safety trumps our first amendment protections.
@pmocek It's good to stand up for your rights, but the video speaks for itself what was happening. Some old men guards were doing their jobs and some dude was shooting a camera at what they were doing. Nobody would want that, so they tried to stop you. You refused. If that was someone out of uniform, it wouldn't have gone that way necessarily and you know that's true. You didn't have to comply, but common sense should have told you to comply, unless they were clearly abusing people on tape.
@tylerrepotter "Nobody would want that"? Most people working as public employees interacting with the public in public places are not bothered by the public making a record of their interaction.
The TSA airport security guards' uniforms mean little. They're designed to make people think those people have more authority than they really do. Complying with their demand to stop filming would have done me great harm. I'm extremely fortunate to have a recording of what happened.
@pmocek I could rebut that, but no point. I know damn well that authorities should be on camera. It's stopped a lot of abuses of power. Sometimes you have to do exactly what you did! On here there are tons of clips of people catching psycho cops beating people for nothing. It highlights an inherent problem, which you should ask yourself what happens off camera. My initial comment was kinda more along the lines of shock that you got away with it intact. I wouldn't mess with those guys.
@tylerrepotter I should be beaten for filming a security officer? Filming them is not against the law. He is trained to deal with actual threats. He should have the psychological profile to be able to handle a citizen with a video camera. And it absolutely blows my fucking MIND that you would say "Whether or not it was illegal doesn't matter". That is by far the most ignorant thing I have ever read on youtube.
And yes, you CAN be arrested for falsely reporting a fire.
@MrJohnnyOldschool Fair enough, I guess, but I shouldn't really have to point out that I was not using "yelling fire" literally, and my argument that "it doesn't matter if it's illegal or not" is in reference to the difference between laws and ethics. Anyway, look at it however you want. Bottom line is the bottom line. Anyone who watches it thinks the same thing I did. lol. You just want to romanticize a pointless and precedent setting case that will in the end make your police state worse.
@tylerrepotter Before you tell me that he won and precedent WAS set in his favour, ask yourself what it really means today, and down the road. The next Bushesque mother will simply get the policies changed, but much much worse. Imagine if it was Bin Laden's BFF who was filming the security procedures and analyzing it or some other such nonsense, and then refused to show his ID? hahaha. Nice job guys. P.S. The war on terror is a joke, and the TSA are obviously a joke: a will = a way. peace
@MrJohnnyOldschool Thanks for the support, Johhn. Please note that the case wasn't thrown out. My jury trial lasted two days, and the jurors found me not guilty.
@pmocek I'm glad to hear you were found not guilty. You know, a lot of people don't seem to understand why anyone would "go looking for trouble", as they often say people like us are. The reason is to exercise your rights. To show our elected authority that we know the law, respect the law, and we will not tolerate having the law broken by ANYONE, including ourselves, and the figures of authority above us. Cases like yours will set vital precedent in years to come. I tip my hat to you.
Yay the Airport cops got to do something!!!!!

@ELconchesumare At what point in the video do you think I acted "as an aggressive opponent"?

@pmocek the whole ï know my rights" act. You are drilling them about laws and regulations and also taping them. They will always turn on you. It makes them nervous, They know if they let you win that one, you could post it on youtube and make them look like idiots. I'm not against you, but I just know its a bad idea to do this. I played the same card with the police before, they got nervous, they felt cornered with my questions, they turned on me like a mob.

TheDman216 3 months ago
@TheDman216 It is, there was no problem in recording them.. An authority/public figure(s) should have no problem being recorded, unless they have something(s) to hide. In this day in age they should be trained for those situations. Surely there must be cameras recording them their anyways, throughout the building. But it is his right to record authority, especially when he knows they are going to be oppressive and twist things around, nothing new.

@jck148 I didn't violate any law. In January, 2011, the State of New Mexico prosecuted me in criminal court. A jury found me not guilty of all charges. The state's case was so weak, I didn't testify or present any evidence.
pmocek 6 months ago
@pmocek Mr Mocek. Yes you were found not guilty. I just don't understand why people make what appears to me to be unnecessary trouble just for the sake of doing so. Pehaps you have a different view on rights freedoms and other items than I do and I just thank God that we live in a country where we can respectfully disagree. I am willing to apologize about my previous comment of you making me "sick" if you are willing to acknowledge that some of us don't understand why you did it.

Why do you do this, just freaken go through and fly to your destination brother. like the rest of us.
johlylyyaya 6 months ago
@johlylyyaya The TSA staff who were involved are not law enforcement officers; they are airport security guards. You asked why I did this. To what do you mean to refer? I went to the airport with a valid boarding pass, presented it to the security guard, then documented the process that followed.
pmocek 6 months ago
@pmocek I tried to apply for that job at the airport, they told me go to usajobs.gov because its with department homeland security, I need a job, damn you, you go and you fuck around with federal officers while people like me are hungry, i wish i was able to fly around like you, wanna trade places? wanna live in the ghetto, its great here , you can fuck around with these crack whores,
johlylyyaya 6 months ago
@johlylyyaya TSA staff aren't law enforcement officers; they're just security guards, like at a mall, but hired by the public instead of by the mall owner. They don't have the power to arrest or to detain, so they call in the local police and tell them what to do. In this case, Albuquerque Aviation Police Officer Robert F. "Bobby" Dilley lied repeatedly about the incident. No surprise to those who are aware of the multiple civil rights lawsuits the City of Albuquerque have settled on his behalf.

For those saying that this guy was in the wrong: This is civil disobedience. This man broke no laws. He was harassed, punished, stolen from, and lied to. He deserves direct reparations from the organizations that are to blame for the crimes committed against him. Our laws are plain and simple concerning these things.
Aitamen 6 months ago
@Aitamen Thanks for the supportive words. I didn't disobey anyone, though. TSA staff asked, but did not order, me to put down my camera. Officer Dilley repeatedly told me what would happen if I did or did not do other things, but the first order he delivered was to accompany him, and I did so promptly.

Pafoofnik1 7 months ago
@DarthVil I am that gentleman. At what time in the video do you get the impression that I was "looking to cause trouble"? I was looking to fly home from a conference.
pmocek 6 months ago
@pmocek The video comes across as though you're filming for the intent of upsetting them, making a stink to prove a point, and then painting a worse picture than what it is. I don't like these measures, either, however every time that I've seen a video of people filming TSA agents, or filming police on the streets, those who are filming are always trying to agitate the officers, in order to get a negative reaction, and then they use this to make them look worse than they are.
DarthVil 6 months ago
@DarthVil @pmocek This doesn't help the cause, at all. It makes everyone who is against these unconstitutional measures look like instigators, troublemakers, and cooks. It is very self-defeating.
DarthVil 6 months ago
@DarthVil At what point in the video would you suggest I act differently, and how?
pmocek 6 months ago
@DarthVil What about my filming leads you to believe that my intent was to upset anyone? Officers Dilley, De La Pena, and Wiggins all lied about my interaction with them. If I had not recorded the incident, I almost certainly would have been convicted of things that I did not do.
Everyone who interacts with TSA airport security guards should record that interaction. You never know what they're going to do, or what they'll accuse you of if your lawful behavior bothers them.
pmocek 6 months ago
@DarthVil Regardless of how reality comes across in the video, my intent was to fly home. TSA staff lied about their policies, and the police lied about my actions. They put me in jail when there was no reason to suspect I had done anything wrong. They are as bad as they looked.
pmocek 6 months ago
@DarthVil I was looking to fly home from the conference I attended. Airport security guards and police caused trouble.

But why go through all this trouble to prove a point? Classic definition of a douche bag lol. Laws this, laws that. You weren't looking for a flight home. You just wanted attention. Btw do you do this at all airports you fly from?
aj11fan 9 months ago
Agreed. I also wonder why the agents didn't follow the law. Maybe they were just looking for trouble.

you are a stupid fuck, just turn the fuckin camera off. you went to an airport without an i.d.? okay so you "checked into" if you can have a camera at a security check point at the airport but you forgot to check to see if you had to carry an I.D with you at all times (not only at an airport but everywhere)
jacobtorres25 9 months ago
@jacobtorres25: There is no requirement to "carry an I.D with you at all times".
There is no requirement to possess I.D. to board a plane.
Pafoofnik1 9 months ago
@jacobtorres25 If I had turned the camera off, I would not have had a record of what happened, and it's very likely that I would have been convicted of things I did not do. Everyone should record his or her interaction with TSA security guards and police officers. You never know when they'll lie about what happened, and people will almost always believe their story over yours.
pmocek 9 months ago
@jacobtorres25 If there is no law stating that filming is not allowed, then why should he turn the camera off? We as citizens need to not only be aware of our rights, but exercise them too. There is no law requiring a person to have ID on them at all times. This isn't Nazi Germany. However, it seems to be quickly becoming that way, because people like you don't seem to understand that history repeats it's self unless people learn from the mistakes of the past.

HAHAHA! They should have smashed his camera, then smashed his head in. Funny, there's all kinds of videos of fucking idiots yelling fire and calling it freedom of speech.
tylerrepotter 9 months ago
@tylerrepotter Why do you say that? I was minding my own business, not violating any laws. These people arrested me and put me in jail, then accused me of things I did not do. Officers Dilley, Wiggins, and De La Pena committed perjury when they lied in their police reports.
Don't blame the victim.

Fight power!
tylerrepotter 9 months ago
@tylerrepotter Maybe you didn't watch this video. I didn't argue with anyone. And putting me in a back room and making up charges is precisely what they did. Fortunately, the jury saw through the lies.
pmocek 9 months ago
@tylerrepotter So, let me get this straight. You're saying that this man should have been beaten for NOT breaking any laws. The judge found him completely innocent of any wrong doing, and the case was thrown out. And you're saying that not only should his personal property been destroyed, but he should have been physically assaulted too. That is beyond ridiculous. By your logic, you should be beaten simply for walking down the sidewalk and minding your own business.
MrJohnnyOldschool 9 months ago
@MrJohnnyOldschool Sorry, no, by my own logic you should be beaten for sticking your camera in some guys' faces who are there to "protect" you from "terrorists." They are wearing little badges and you are in an airport in a country where they think they can screen for terrorists. They said "stop filming" and the guy didn't. Whether or not it was illegal doesn't matter. It's not illegal to yell fire in a crowded theatre either. Just common sense stuff. I wasn't being too serious either, guy
tylerrepotter 9 months ago
@tylerrepotter Tyler, maybe you're from a police state or military dictatorship where the law is whatever people in authority say it is, but we're a nation of laws in the United States. The airport security guards had no more authority to tell me to stop filming than any other people in the airport did. I didn't refuse any order from the police. It is unlawful to yell fire in a crowded theater -- it's a very common example of a time when public safety trumps our first amendment protections.
pmocek 9 months ago
@pmocek It's good to stand up for your rights, but the video speaks for itself what was happening. Some old men guards were doing their jobs and some dude was shooting a camera at what they were doing. Nobody would want that, so they tried to stop you. You refused. If that was someone out of uniform, it wouldn't have gone that way necessarily and you know that's true. You didn't have to comply, but common sense should have told you to comply, unless they were clearly abusing people on tape.
tylerrepotter 9 months ago
@tylerrepotter "Nobody would want that"? Most people working as public employees interacting with the public in public places are not bothered by the public making a record of their interaction.
The TSA airport security guards' uniforms mean little. They're designed to make people think those people have more authority than they really do. Complying with their demand to stop filming would have done me great harm. I'm extremely fortunate to have a recording of what happened.
pmocek 9 months ago 2
@pmocek I could rebut that, but no point. I know damn well that authorities should be on camera. It's stopped a lot of abuses of power. Sometimes you have to do exactly what you did! On here there are tons of clips of people catching psycho cops beating people for nothing. It highlights an inherent problem, which you should ask yourself what happens off camera. My initial comment was kinda more along the lines of shock that you got away with it intact. I wouldn't mess with those guys.

@tylerrepotter said: "Whether or not it was illegal doesn't matter."
Of course it matters, when it comes to uniformed agents giving demands and arresting people.
Pafoofnik1 9 months ago
@tylerrepotter I should be beaten for filming a security officer? Filming them is not against the law. He is trained to deal with actual threats. He should have the psychological profile to be able to handle a citizen with a video camera. And it absolutely blows my fucking MIND that you would say "Whether or not it was illegal doesn't matter". That is by far the most ignorant thing I have ever read on youtube.
And yes, you CAN be arrested for falsely reporting a fire.
MrJohnnyOldschool 9 months ago
@MrJohnnyOldschool Fair enough, I guess, but I shouldn't really have to point out that I was not using "yelling fire" literally, and my argument that "it doesn't matter if it's illegal or not" is in reference to the difference between laws and ethics. Anyway, look at it however you want. Bottom line is the bottom line. Anyone who watches it thinks the same thing I did. lol. You just want to romanticize a pointless and precedent setting case that will in the end make your police state worse.
tylerrepotter 9 months ago

My jury trial lasted two days, and the jurors found me not guilty.
pmocek 9 months ago
@pmocek I'm glad to hear you were found not guilty. You know, a lot of people don't seem to understand why anyone would "go looking for trouble", as they often say people like us are. The reason is to exercise your rights. To show our elected authority that we know the law, respect the law, and we will not tolerate having the law broken by ANYONE, including ourselves, and the figures of authority above us. Cases like yours will set vital precedent in years to come. I tip my hat to you.
MrJohnnyOldschool 9 months ago 2
@MrJohnnyOldschool In this case, TSA and the aviation police were the only ones looking for trouble. I was looking for a flight home. Thanks, again.
