  • Emma Thompson is gorgeous

  • Bad impression

  • Great just great :) and hes sooo right... Alan is awesome in playing people who seem to be or are villans. Better to say..hes good at playing the sarcastic characters :D

  • buttersyrupnpancakes: You are entirely correct. Emma Thompson is in the league of Kate Hepburn, Liz Taylor, Audrey Hepburn....etc. Her characters (like Alan's) cannot be pinned down and you are always watching them when they come on the screen

  • The title for this video should be "John Sessions milking his Alan Rickman impression"

  • @DucksFromHell His wife I think

  • Now I want to go and watch Die Hard...

  • "I don't play villains; I play very interesting people".

  • who is Emma Thompson?

  • @DucksFromHell Wait, wait. No, it's just an actress he works with a lot.

  • Excellent impression!

  • 2:31- "A-Alan?" "Yes."

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel There's nothing strange about living Emma Thompson. She's brilliant and talented and funny and wicked gorgeous. I'd think you were strange if you DIDN'T find her attractive. ;-) she's perfect.

  • Anyone seen that woman before?

  • Is the host Jeeves from that old show Jeeves and Wooster?

  • @lordofchaosrb Yeah, it's Stephen Fry.

  • LOL

  • According to the Wikipedia episode list, this is episode 11 from Series F.

  • You know you've got a great voice when you're associated with a number and everyone immediately gets the reference.

  • "just come straight from the airport" haha so true.

  • oh Alan....*swoon*

  • "Alan! - Yes..."

  • Turn to page 394...

  • @blainyrules Alan Rickman is the only person who can make something as simple as a number sound completely awesome lol

  • Episode anyone? x

  • I just bought the book "It" by Stephen King...I want to hire Alan Rickman to read it to me

  • -3

  • "A-Alan?"

    "YES"

  • "Turn your books to page 394" lol

  • I like the impressions. The self righteousness british dialogue is unfortunately too much to bare.

  • the end. hahahha, love it

  • I hate to be "that guy" but what episode is this from?

  • Am I the only one who finds Emma Thompson strangely attractive? She's in her early 50s now, but she still looks pretty damn nice.

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel

shes always very down to earth...

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel no, she's talented and lovely

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel Nope, I'll join you. At the risk of sounding misogynistic women who take all the necessary steps for a healthy life generally tend to hold on to their vitality for quite some time as do men. Favourable genetics also plays a part.

  • which die hard is it off?

  • @mcrorfggta159 the first one

  • @mcrorfggta159 First Die Hard I remember that movie very well. The First Die Hard is also a Christmas film too.

  • @Makron5 cool thanks :D

  • :D

  • Villians are the best characters in American movies most of the time.

  • Benedict Cumberbatch can do it better.

  • Haha that's amazing.

  • i hate Kevin Costner

  • Yeah almost... besides Alan rickman is HOT while he is talking and you look like you are talking with a hot patato in your mouth.

  • How about Marvin the paranoid android? He's not a bad guy!

"Life, don't talk to me about life..."

  • That is absolutely brilliant, he's indistinguishable from Alan!!

Sidenote: when they pointed out that Alan wanted to play the good guy in films, I said "He did, in Sense and Sensibility" at the exact same moment as Emma :) And after all, she would know, right?? Btw, he does in Harry Potter too, as anyone who read the entire series or watched the movies knows.

  • I can't stand John Sessions, but this is brilliant.

  • hehehehehehe!! Teeth...

  • İ can cut my boy for alan!!! Alaaaaannn :) We love youuuu :) Lots of love form Turkey... And it was really good impersonation...

  • which episode is this?

  • sounds exactly like alan rickman.. :D

  • who are these people who say that woman about Emma Thompson? she's Emma Thompson wtf!!!

  • @buttersyrupnpancakes For the last time, if someone here calls Emma Thompson as 'that woman', I am going to blow a fuse. She is a two-time Oscar winner - she is the only actress to have won an Oscar for acting (Howard's End - Lead Actress) AND writing (Sense and Sensibility - Adapted Screenplay). Give her the respect she deserves, people.

For some of the younger viewers, she is also the actress who portrayed Prof Sybil Trelawney in the Harry Potter films. Now, does it ring a bell?

  • @88narayandivya kids today are so clueless. it's mindboggling. :P but of course i was as clueless in their age about things before me. we must educate them!

  • @88narayandivya who is emma thomerson

  • @innit27 it's emma thompson..... she is one of the best british actresses...

  • @88narayandivya Is she that woman that sits in the circle?

  • @88narayandivya Any idea who that woman is?

  • @88narayandivya And Nanny McPhee! :oD

  • @88narayandivya Dude, watch the whole episode, that woman is just boring here.

  • @88narayandivya Right on.

  • @88narayandivya Ben Affleck won for writing. Oh, I see your point. She's pretty good.

  • @88narayandivya HERE HERE! Love Emma Thompson.

  • @88narayandivya I like Emma Thompson just fine, but she's just an actress, what respect does she deserve? She's hasn't cured cancer or pulled a drowning child from a swimming pool (so far as I know.) She doesn't teach underprivileged children to read. She was surely well compensated for all her acting and screenwriting. So I ask again as you blow your fuse, how much respect do I owe her?

  • @roninnder Because she's also a writer, and a damn fine one. She's also a lovely person. You don't have to cure cancer to earn respect in this world.

  • The woman is called Emma Thompson, she is a world renowned actor.

  • @Hellwyck The woman = Professor Trelawney.

  • @michaeljfreak True. Is there something to Emma and Alan playing in the same movies? Or is this another one of those things I've noticed where British actors and actresses I'm familiar with keep turning up in the same shows and movies?

  • @hideyourloveaway128 Yeah, it seems almost as if the choice of British high profile actors is limited. - So when someone wants many famous actors in one movie they have to combine these few people (who are all in the HP cast, btw).

  • Even in Star wars the British were the baddies. The imperial commanders/generals/fleet admirals. And the emperor himself

  • that women is from nany mcphee i think

  • the woman at 2:00 is that the one from Stranger Than Fiction

  • @DimitarUnbreakable yeah emma thompon she was also in a movie called love actually as alan rickmans wife.. you should watch :)

  • SHAT AP YOU TWIT!

  • Actually Alan Rickman doesn't always play villains, in harry potter he is actually a good guy :P

  • @Brendan9895 In a British film ;p

  • this guy is good!

  • oh god...he almost sounds like Alan when he says that line"

  • Ilove impersonations! This is superb! Close second to Brent Spiner impersonating Patrick Stewart! Thanksfor the upload!

  • Emma Thompson :) I love her

  • If my boyfriend could impersonate Alan Rickman I'd forbid him from ever going back to his own voice XD

  • wow that's good

  • Damn Thats a Good Impression Of Him LOL

  • Damned i could watch this all day cracks me up everytime xD

  • was the conversation between him and the kid was true? XD

  • his voice is like GOD! silky, dark rich, that just commands your attention.

  • "Alan!'

    "...Yes...."

  • two people can talk with this sexy voice?! my life is complete!

  • @Tomgirl1219: Come off it!!! Alan is probably the sexiest creature that's ever existed, his hair, his fingers, his manners, all of him exudes sexiness!!! This man with his cheesy impersonation has the sex appeal of a slug!!!!!

  • It is an impression of his voice Tomgirl; nothing else.

In this respect it is pretty spot on rather than being cheesy, regardless of who you find physically attractive.

  • I think i've watched this video 500,000 times.....

  • which episode

  • If you could impersonate Alan Rickman why on EARTH would you ever go back to your normal voice?!

  • @stews001 omg i so wouldn't have. one of the sexiest voices ever

  • @stews001 lol I agree

  • @stews001 LOL. I completely agree.

  • @stews001 It isn't the best impersonation :/

  • @stews001 You could go around yelling "By Grabthar's Hammer!" at sci-fi conventions for quarters.

  • he sounds just like Alan!

  • Behind every villain is a woman who ripped his heart out and smashed it on the floor.

  • 2:04 LOL!!!! DEAD FUCKING ON!

  • Fucking love QI! I'm from from Hollywood, and I think the villain thing is because we tend to think that anyone with an English accent is going to be more intelligent than we are. Of course since Karl Pilkington that's changed...

  • I LOVE HIM!!! THE SAME VOICE

  • john sessions does the best impression of alan rickman

  • I bet Alan Rickman was sitting behind him talking while he moved his lips.

  • 'Alan?!'

    'Yes.'

He Just Got That *SO* Right.

  • Germans have bad teeth too... just sayin'

  • 2:30 Funniest part!

  • is the programme rehersed?....coz the photo came up pritty quick..........

  • @MrCrispian They were talking about English accents in Hollywood. It was inevetable that Alan Rickman would come up eventually lol.

  • @MrCrispian I was thinking the same thing!

  • @MrCrispian Panel shows are usually rehersed beforehand (obviously so that it all doesn't end up a complete mess) so the people on the show have a vague idea on what will be discussed, how much time they are allowed to have, etc. But everything else is completely spontaneous.

  • omg i want a GPS with alan rickman's voice, too! but i would get in a car accident cuz i wouldnt be paying attention to the road, just his sexy, perfect voice!

  • OMG he impersonates that silky, velvety voice soooooooo PERFECTLY!!! How does he do that?! XXXDDDD

I agree, I also want a GPS Alan Rickman voice!!!

Though I might get lots of car accident bcoz of it ROFL

  • im surprised that Stephen didn't mention him playing Snape he does all the audio books for harry potter another character he played that wasn't a villain

  • @0946218123 Saying that Snapes not a villain might ruin the books/films though, as its a bit of a spoiler.

  • Emma Thompson? Talking about Alan?

    I wish they'd just marry.

  • If I get one wish, f&ck immortality, I want to be able to talk like Alan Rickman.

  • Turn left in... the rest of your life

  • His voice sounded JUST LIKE Rickman's!! How in the wide world is that possible? :D

  • he even looks a bit like rickman when he talks like that XD

  • Oh god. I came!

  • hahahahaah dam i wanna fuck that voice

  • he played the hero in harry potter

  • Haha this was actually pretty good

  • wow, he was pretty good

  • What ep is this?

  • He and Benedict Cumberbatch are really brilliant in imitating Alan Rickman :)

  • 2445 thumbs up come from Neville Longbottom.

  • Snape wasn't a villain though, he practically a martyr X'D

  • God this is absolutely brilliant xD

  • His impression is spot on! He does a better Alan RIckman than Alan Rickman himself!

  • When I'm sad I watch this and I get instantly happy.

  • "Mr Takagi won't be joining us for the rest of his life"

Best line in the film. Haha

  • OMG great impersonation!!!!!!

speak without letting his lips touch his teeth lol lol

His usual voice ia nothing like Alan Rickman's but the way he does a realy good job!! yessss? I don't play villains. I play interesting people lol lol It's a shame ppl in the video said whatever offensive and there are so many unhappy comments about nationalism stuffs. Not many AR lovers comments D:

  • I am in LOVE with everything British and I hate being American, but when they were talking about how they "were too good natured to moan about it", and "we're the last country left that won't scream racism," that bothered me! I can't explain how rude and ignorant that was. If I was from ANY country besides England, I would still be offended. I don't think they should have said that.

  • @madbar4lifexo Sorry, I don't understand how what they said was rude and ignorant, could you explain?

  • @eblovesdb Because England is NOT the only country to be "too good natured to moan about it. It's obnoxious.

  • @madbar4lifexo Really? Not being funny but all I got from that comment was that in this crazy PC world, England is ONE of the few countries that doesn't really give a shit when it comes to being stereotyped. We're quite laid back with that sort of thing. Anyway, thanks for answering :)

  • @eblovesdb my b :)

  • That's a bang on the money impression :o

    Gotta love John.

  • That was good and extremely funny. :D

  • "I dont play villans, i just play interesting people"

    oh gosh this is hilarious!

  • It's funny how American Patriotism is such a source of befuddlement around the world. It's a vicious circle because everyone seems to hate America which only feeds the patriotism. Being part Native American I realize this country has horrible scars but I still fly my flag proudly. As to this clip, it's hysterical. What a spot-on impersonation. Very funny. Brits are the funniest people on Earth that is for sure. Love your humor.

  • my sis was listening to this and she screamed cause she really thought it was alan rickman

  • "a-alan?"

    "yes...."

"why do you always play villians"

"i dont play villiands i just play very interesting people"

    lmao!!!

  • What’s up with the British flag on the Hollywood sign?

  • @TheLyricsGuy They are on about British actors in films.

  • @TheLyricsGuy Don’t you think putting a British flag on a famous sign in the U.S. that is known world-wide can be a little controversial? I’m not trying to be too patriotic or anything, but what if an American show pasted a U.S. flag on a famous tourist attraction in the UK? Wouldn’t that kinda make you wonder why they would do such a thing?

  • @TheLyricsGuy - dude, the Hollywood sign was used as a Real Estate advertisement! It's not exactly Mount fuckin' Rushmore now is it?

The British Flag is in the top left corner of my countries' flag (Australia)... yes, fair enough there are some people who are all butt-hurt over that, but the for majority of us we simply don't give a shite.

  • @freakystyley4000 Woah calm down man. I’m just sayin that putting a flag on something from another country seems a bit odd is all...

  • @TheLyricsGuy We, in the UK, don't get all hissy over such things. I understand that the US, still being a young country, and given it's politics - you're almost forced to be overly patriotic (often verging into nationalism).

If the topic was "What american actors play in london theaters" - and the picture behind it was a london landmark covered in the US flag, no one would care. Because it is just a bit of imagery that goes along to describe what the subject is.

  • omg that's amazing he's so good at his voice

  • ahhhh our great friend

  • those people think there so funny but there not

  • I want someone to make a GPS Alan Rickman voice.

"I said turn left! you arrogant fool! "

  • @solutionxyz that wouldn't work. You'd miss the turn before he finished the sentence.

  • @solutionxyz "It is three miles to your destination. There will not be a fourth."

  • @solutionxyz I've been saying this exact same thing for years. I wish someone would make one already. xD

  • @solutionxyz That would be awesome. And also if it said " You're more annoying than Mr. Potter." lol xp

  • @solutionxyz Ha- YES! I would buy this!

  • @solutionxyz lol

  • @solutionxyz I would buy that, but would crash the car from laughing too much!!

  • @solutionxyz turn to road... 394.....

  • Comment removed

  • @solutionxyz it'll be better if it's like this " i said turn left, do not disappoint me."

  • @solutionxyz: "Turn onto Route 394..."

  • @solutionxyz "Shoot the glass!"

  • @solutionxyz God yeah!!!!!! I'd get one of those...great idea.;-)

  • @solutionxyz "How much like your father you are, he too would have missed that last left turn"
