Out of all the games that came out for the GBA, only a limited handful were good. All the GBA ports of classic SNES games were utter shit. What's the point of invoking nostalgia, when the sounds aren't like you remembered?

Although I agree that the GBA started the shovelware fiasco, it also sparked one of the largest homebrew community in recent years of the gaming industry.

I mean, the numbers are quite colossal. We're talking 10k(Snes) to 1m(GBA) here. There were coding contests, custom mods, homebrew applications, it's a hacker's paradise. Impressive feat for such a small device.

I still have a few of my carts, but not the system. I think I have Super Mario, Castlevania IV, Final Fight, Zelda III not sure what else. If only Nintendo would have made this back then like 1992 or so. Castlevania IV was really spine-tingling with a scary intro and had great music. I got it as a gift Dec 1991 and I got the system as a gift from my mom Dec 1991 along with Final Fight which was a bad port of the arcade game. I took it down to my cousin's house 40 miles away 12/25/91 and had fun.
