  • what the previous post said is right, this is a stereotypical behaviour which is due to boredom and lack of the suitable environment

  • That's not dancing. It's repetitive behaviour which helps the elephant relieve the stress and boredom of being in captivity. It's a pretty powerful sign that the animal is not being cared for properly.
