This girl actually makes my heart hurt. No kidding.
To know that there are parents in the world that subject their children to obtuse & vapid mythology instead of logic, science, fact & reason makes me shudder.
Her ignorance knows no bounds & she has no idea that she is condescending, yet has no ground at all to stand on to be so...
Her faith isn't in a gOD, it's in those that have told her the 'truth'. Those she respects & admires - parents & scholars of hokum & lies.
I'm just gonna come out and say this: I'm not very religious, but I lean towards Christianity. However, I found your video to actually be kind of refreshing. I've seen so many videos and talked to atheists and their approach to this argument is very rudimentary and belligerent. You really actually put thought into this and used your own feelings instead of taking bible verses out of context and being disrespectful. Thank you. haha
@curtischarlesbaker Don't worry, the whole idea will pass as you logically think about it, just like the idea of the toothfairy, Santa Claus & the Easter Bunny did. Now you may think that is disrespectful, but I want you to think about it logically. Is it really? We are at a point where we as a whole need to grow out of our childish beliefs created by liars & uneducated charlatans from the 1st century. You are an atheist in all respects concerning other religions. Take that 1 step farther...
Another 5 fucking questions for Atheists? Stop listening to someone read the Bible and read it yourself. Your God is not a nice God. 1 reason I am an Atheist.
You asked what caused the big bang? we dont know and thats fine with me. But if you are trying to point out the fact that there is unanswerable questions towards us atheists, let me ask you a question. Where did your God come from? you have no answer to that, as we have no answer to your big bang question. Dont try to pull that card when it can be just as easily flipped on you.
Remember they say god cant control free will but adam and eve didnt have free will till they ate the fruit.Still dont get it go to DarkMatter2525 here on youtube.the videos says it all just like the bible.Anyway its funny how all christians like the skip or change the old testament.Well thats all i got to say.see ya
And just cause christians read a book dont mean they know how the world was create cause it said so.You said theres proof cause god cured people will wrong again.Theres research on just that go look into it.And if your god is so all knowing and all loving why start the trouble in the first place by making a forbidden tree knowing what was going to happen next.
lol here we go again just cause we se something or can ride a bike that means a christian god made us.You said we were the start of humans on earth but theres 100,000 more planets out there.why would your christian god only care for us.Again with the animal thing, christians like to say nothing has to create god cause hes time himself again why cant that be for the big bang.
2) Yes, the reason is obvious. Animals don't have YouTube
3) Stupid question. Not gonna answer
4) I personally don't care. I'd be friends with someone who worshiped a lamp
5) The brain is very powerful. People underestimate it all the time. If you believe in something very strongly, your brain can simulate certain things. I'm not a scientist so i dont know if that made any sense to anyone else. But...
"Should you be put in jail for eating meat?" What is so indifferent about eating meat and eating vegetables? vegetables are a life form just as animals are the only reason people care more about animals is because the are more similar to humans.
I just want to get inside your pants. Anymore questions? Forget about getting into my head and lets just start with you giveing some instead, The big bang is what I will give to you in responce from the love of my heart.
lol whoever made this video is hilarious. Good job. I actually feel sympathy for this girl. Maybe her questions demonstrate increasing skepticism of her beliefs.
I am an atheist... the burden of proof is on all you people that believe in whatever god you are praying too. My belief is simply that I dont believe in what you believe.. it is up to you to prove that your god exists. A couple of those questions were good but largely irrelevant cause I am still not going to believe that some guy controls and created everything cause I dont have all the answers to the big bang.
like it or not, YOU are an atheist. you are ruled by Zionists. fake jews - real jews are of Ethiopian descent and are not political.
Zionists are really Khazars, a wild, war mongering, snake worshipping, pagan tribe from southern Russia who adopted judaism in the 8th century for political reasons.
scritpures warn of them and 1947 - the Gog Magog invasion of Palestine. 7th protocol of the Elders of Zion promises "the wrecking of Christianity" through industry, speculation & materialism.
Well, at least atheists can actually say "we do not know why Big Bang happened." Instead of trying to come up with RIDICULOUS fucking theories simply to cover an unanswered question that isn't really that vital.
ALTHOUGH I'M A CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIAN (Baptist), I no longer believe that the Bible teaches eternal torment or suffering. The Bible teaches eternal punishment, but it's not eternal torment. In my popular Internet article, TRADITIONAL DOCTRINE OF HELL EVOLVED FROM GREEK ROOTS, I explain how and why teaching of eternal torment entered early into Christianity and how Scriptures have been misinterpreted and taken out of context to support that teaching. ~Babu G. Ranganathan (B.A. theology/biology)
SCIENCE SHOWS THAT THE UNIVERSE could not have sustained itself eternally because of entropy (even in an open system). Einstein confirmed that space, matter, and time had a beginning! That beginning had to be supernatural because natural laws have no ability to bring the universe into existence from nothing. The supernatural cannot be proved by science but science points to a supernatural intelligence for the origin and order of the universe ~ HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM (Article)
EINSTEIN CONFIRMED that space and time are just as physical as matter. That's why space and time can be altered by gravity, and space produces particles. Einstein's equations show that the universe couldn’t be eternal. It had a beginning. Einstein believed, because of science, in the existence of God behind the origin and order of the universe. He didn't believe in a personal God like Christians do, but he did believe science pointed to the existence of an all powerful and intelligent Creator
THE SCIENTIFIC CASE AGAINST ATHEISM: Please read this Internet article of mine published in Russia's English Pravda. It will be a real eye-opener for all who think belief in a Creator is merely subjective blind faith. Also read my article, LIFE ON MARS NO SURPRISE (In the Earth's past there was powerful volcanic activity which spewed life-containing dirt and rocks (meteors) into outer space. Mars may literally have millions of tons of Earth soil)
NATURAL LIMITS TO EVOLUTION: Only evolution within "kinds" is genetically possible (i.e. varieties of dogs, cats, etc.), but not evolution across "kinds" (i.e. from worm to human). How did species survive if their vital structures, organs, reproductive system were still evolving? Read my Pravda Internet article: WAR AMONG EVOLUTIONISTS! I discuss: Punctuated Equilibrium, "Junk DNA," genetics, mutations, natural selection, fossils, genetic and biological similarities between species.
DAWKINS, HITCHENS, AND HAWKING REFUSE TO DEBATE with creationists who are SCIENTISTS, such as the scientists at The Institute for Creation Research. Dawkins and his friends only debate non-scientist creationists. Read articles by scientists supporting creation at The Institute for Creation Research site. Read analysis from creation scientists about the latest news on fossils, genetics, astronomy, etc. that you won't read in the main stream media. Visit the Institute for Creation Research site.
EXPLAINING HOW AN AIRPLANE WORKS doesn't mean no one made the airplane. Explaining how life and the universe work don’t mean there was no Maker behind them. Natural laws explain how the order in the universe works, but mere undirected natural laws can't explain the origin of that order. Once you have a complete and living cell, the genetic code/mechanisms exist to direct the formation of more cells, but how did the cell originate when no directing code or mechanisms existed in nature?
WHAT IS SCIENCE? Science is knowledge based on observation. No one observed the universe coming by chance or by design, by creation or by macro-evolution. These are positions of faith. The issue is which faith science supports. Natural laws explain how an airplane or a cell works, but undirected natural laws cannot bring about either. Once there's a complete cell, the code/mechanisms exist to direct the formation of more cells, but how did the cell originate when there was no directing code.
SCIENTISTS HAVE NEVER CREATED LIFE. And, even if they do it won't be by chance but by intelligent design. By genetically engineering already existing forms of life, scientists have produced new forms of life, but they did not produce these new life forms from non-living matter. Even in synthetic life, scientists design and build DNA from scratch, through intelligent design, and then insert their man-made DNA into an already living cell. Read my article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM
THE ODDS of the sequence of molecules in a cell coming together by chance are similar to the odds of magnetic letters randomly bonding together in a sequence to form all the words and sentences in a dictionary. Without the right sequence, a cell's molecules won't work. Amino acids can come by chance but not proteins. Without DNA there can be no proteins and vice versa. Gradually won't do. It's all at once or not at all for a cell's survival. Read my article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM
NATURAL SELECTION DOESN'T PRODUCE ANYTHING. It can only "select" from what is produced that has survival value. If a variation occurs that helps a species survive, that survival is called being "selected." That's all it is. There's no conscious selection by nature. It's a passive process. Natural selection is a figure of speech. The term itself is a tautology. Natural selection only operates once there is life and reproduction, not before. Read my article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM.
NATURAL SELECTION IS NO BLIND WATCHMAKER because it can only "select," not produce or arrange. If a variation survives, that's called being "selected." Natural selection operates only once there is life and reproduction, not before, so it couldn't have been involved in life's origins. A partially-evolved cell (an oxymoron) would quickly disintegrate. It couldn't wait ("survive") millions of years for chance to complete it and then make it alive! Read: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM
ARE FOSSILS REALLY MILLIONS OF YEARS OLD? Popular Internet article examines assumptions concerning fossil deposition as well as built-in assumptions involved in modern radiometric dating (not used for dating fossils but other rocks), and arguments from starlight and time. Discusses lack of true transitional forms in the fossil record and lack of "age" sequence of the fossil layers. Discussion of mixed species (i.e. dinosaur, reptile, mammal fossils in the same stratum).
IMAGINE A FISH WITH PART FINS, part feet with the fins evolving (transitioning) into feet. What survival benefit would there be? The fish couldn't use its fins or its feet, and there are no fossils showing such a creature ever existed. They only exist on automobile bumper stickers! There are no true transitional forms, either living or fossilized. Evolutionists realize this fact! Read my Internet article: WAR AMONG EVOLUTIONISTS!
APES ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN HOW THEY WALK, just as humans are quite comfortable in how they walk. Even a slight change in the position of a muscle or bone, for either, would be excruciatingly painful and would not be an advantage for survival. There's no hard evidence that humans evolved from ape-like creatures anymore than there's hard evidence that apes evolved from four-legged-pawed dog-like creatures. Read Internet article: MISSING LINKS THAT NEVER WERE.
GENETIC INFORMATION CANNOT HAPPEN BY CHANCE, so it's more logical to believe that genetic similarities between all forms of life are due to a common Designer who designed similar functions for similar purposes. It doesn't mean all forms of life are biologically related! Also, "Junk DNA" isn't junk. These non-coding segments of DNA have recently been found to be vital in regulating gene expression. Read my popular Internet article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST prevents macro-evolution. Natural selection wouldn't preserve the evolution of new traits because they wouldn't have any survival value. A partially-evolved hand evolving from a previous trait, partially-evolved tissues, organs, biological structures would make a species unfit for survival. There are no fossils of partially-evolved species. All species of plants and animals in the fossil record are complete and fully-formed. They came into existence as complete!
NEW SPECIES: Although new species have come into existence, they don't carry any new genes. They've become new species only because they can't be crossed back with the original parent stock for various biological reasons. A biological "kind" allows for new species but not new genes. Nature has no ability to invent new genes for new traits. Only limited variations and adaptations are possible in nature, and all strictly within a biological "kind" (i.e. varieties of dogs, cats, etc.).
ALL REAL EVOLUTION ( i.e. varieties of dogs, cats, etc.) in nature is the expression, over time, of already existing genes. Evolution is possible only if there’s information (genes) directing it. Only variations of already existing genes are possible, which means only limited evolution and adaptations are possible. Nature has no ability to invent new genes via random mutations caused by random environmental forces. That’s evolutionary faith, not science. Read my article, WAR AMONG EVOLUTIONISTS!
"JUNK DNA" ISN'T JUNK: Recent research shows that these segments of DNA are vital in regulating gene expression (when, where, and how genes are expressed). There's no room for random mutations to operate safely. Random mutations, from radiation, are destructive. Even for every good one there would be hundreds of harmful ones with the net effect, over time, causing harm and even extinction, not upward evolution. Genetic similarities are better explained due to a common design for common purposes.
DO EYES CARRY SCARS OF EVOLUTION? Read this fantastic Internet article by biologist and creationist Brian Thomas. Thomas refutes every argument of a "flawed" design for the eye, and explains how and why the so-called flaw is actually the best thing for the eye. Read the article! It's amazing what facts evolutionists will ignore. Numerous times evolutionists have been proven wrong about their interpretation of a structure as being flawed or useless
HUMAN EMBRYO doesn't have true gills or tail. These and other arguments have long been discarded by most evolutionists and not supported by any modern embryologist. Then, what are these structures? Read "Does The Human Embryo Go Through Animal Stages" at the Institute for Creation Research site. Briefly, what look like gills are early formation of facial and throat regions. What looks like a tail is the coccyx which grows faster than the rest of the body. The coccyx supports the pelvic muscles.
DISORDER IN THE UNIVERSE is no argument against God's existence. The disorder is because of chance and entropy, but the order can only be rationally explained due to design. If I discovered a broken watch on the ground, the disorder is no evidence that there wasn't a designer behind the watch. Please read my Internet article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM
BURDEN OF PROOF: Anyone who claims the level of complexity and order in life and the universe happened by chance has the burden of proof. Many atheists think they have no burden of proof because they’re not claiming the existence of something. That is not true. Atheists are claiming something. They are claiming that we are here by chance and atheists expect for everyone to accept that claim on faith because they certainly can’t prove it. Read: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM
I find it more valid a natural event created everything around us. Because our big bang has no beggining. Neither does your god. Please somebody tell me how god was created. And as steven hawkings theory claims, the big bang WAS the beggining. The big bang happened when time started. And it is the only thing that caused itsrlf. A billionth of an atom of matter packed so tightly... At the level (nutron level i think) of molecular structure things can p
My friend CommonReason I wish to meet you one day. Funny, I enjoyed the video. I've gotten into several debates with these main questions as well. It's surprising how many times we have to answer this. These question derive from lack of studying history. Study the christian religion and the argumentum ad populum goes away. Dark ages.
Sperm whales have been discovered to have their own languages of clicks and meanings to each click between every group of sperm whales so humans are not the only ones capable of using advanced language. Not that our language isn't extremely wonderful and complex ^_^.
To the so called happy people who are posting slanderous views. You guys are so condescending. So rude and so sad. It's as if all you want to do is show how smart you are and how stupid everyone else is. It's so sad. I know that plenty of you will have plenty to say to me. I'm sorry your so angry. Let's see who shows there highest IQ.
The disbelief of god is quite simple...there is no supporting evidence to prove that "it" exists. All your questions in the video can be answered if you use "google" and have almost no relevance on if we believe in god or not. You know if you did read the bible you would start to question your believes but the only thing I'm questioning right now is if you can read because free thinking is hard...i pity you because of your ignorance....
I would have to say that I am an atheist, and a happy individual. I find the unknown intriguing and comforting. Being able to say that there is a universe out there we do not know all of the answers for and finding answers for is bettering our society so everyone can benefit.
I wonder if her original video was created out of the “fear” that she is wrong or the “fear” that most atheists are good, contributing people of society.
yes, the big bang theory does not try to explain what came before that... because we are working on it (LHC comes to mind)... but we dont say "hey, here's something I don't understand, lets create and answer for it out of thin air", imagine what little man knew of the world and how to study it when he started thinking as a human and you will find how religion came to be
Ok evolution has a strong backing behind it I'm catholic and I say that you approach these questions as if you had the right to be condescending just because people don't believe in god honestly the reason you get hate is because you're a fundementalist
You can say that god mad the big bang, and use that to defend religion, but you could also use the same reasoning to disprove religion. If god made us, who made god? Both questions, cannot be answered anybet
Wait so "god" has morals for people and they have to follow his, and he killed people for no reason, does that mean its ok to kill people? NO the answer is no.
I don't call myself an atheist - because atheism means you BELIEVE there is no God. I am a realist. We don't know about such things. But sure, there's most likely no chance at all the Christian God exists.... depends on what Christian you talk to, though. I've heard all kinds of variations. Anyway, what I want to say is this - no one knows if we cease to exist when we die. We shouldn't give a crap about if we do or not - just enjoy the life for what it is.
A1: Nobody knows for certain where we all came from.
A2: Since I am human, I put more value in humans. I would save a human before saving any other animal.
A3: Together, through experience, we decide what is right and wrong for humanity.
A4: The influence religion has on people (and my generations of family to come) is dangerous. Is the only reason you believe in God is the promise of an afterlife? Selfish...
A5: I would believe a rational man before a delusional one.
awesome video, funny as heck, scary that chicks like her exhist though and someone will blow a load inside her and her genes will pass on to further delay human progress...
@CommonReason1universe even had a beginning, created don't think so2god to make the universe, would have to be more complex3timeNenergy are forever(us universe)5god is part of the universe or not,is=us if not just a delusion6take any object and drop it,it will fall, play that forever, god wont stop it7god doing the super natural, god could make superman real?8all babies are atheist 9god came from nothing, made the whole universe, what would he made everything from himself10EVERYTHING is a delusion
09:13 "Are you scared of the unknown?" I used to be, my religious teachers literally put the fear of god in me.
Fear of death is religion's biggest recruiting weapon, it's big stick, promise of a blissful afterlife is religion's biggest carrot.
I understand why religion is so popular, it unites the fearful & allays fears, it gives believers lives a sense of meaning & worth, but Judeo-Christian & Islamic desert dogmas are just man made social controllers. Believe or be dammed & excluded.
Adapted and got smaller over time, but they didn't evolve into anything else. Humans didn't come from apes and I would like to see some proof if we did. It is also absurd to live your life and base all of your decisions on what is written in a holy book, that for millennia, had been manipulated by humans so that "they" could control other humans.
I mean if I took 10 mating pairs of yellow labs to Antarctica and left them there.(Assuming all the dogs survive and breed.) In two hundred years will they evolve into polar bears? How about in ten thousand years? Or one hundred thousand years?NO they won't. I would suspect that they would grow longer coats, get wider paws and adapt to the climate. But they still would be dogs. Why haven't gators or crocs changed into any thing else? They were around when dinosaurs walked the planet. Sure they
Darwin stated in the origin of species, that even though primates and humans have no common ancestor, he felt confident, as time went on, that one would be found and that's how he came of with his "science". None has been found yet. Maybe God created evolution?....it's just a theory.
Creation and evolution are the same thing..... Theories. There is no proof or mathematic formula to prove or disprove either. Darwin made a lot of assumptions in the origin of species, because of gaping holes in his logic/opinion. His logic/opinion became fact back then because "everyone" agreed with him. At one time, the world being flat was a fact too, mainly because everyone believed it.
okay i am a christian but at the same time seeing retarded people spit out bullshit about the bible being everything is annoying... Indeed you should read the bible as something of a guideline but not follow it like a fanatic Zeolot who won't accept anything but his own beliefs,These people are un-educated, retarded, and are giving humanity a bad example just through their ignorance and Closed or rather Sealed Shut minds. (open mind + debate = Healthy Mentality )
I can discuss all this for hours, days, weeks, months, years, etc. I am a very deep person who's doing his best to not be closeminded in any sort of way. And let's face it - there's things we can not explain. Like, why is space neverending? No idea. We just need to accept it is. Like we need to accept evolution. I mean, come on - it's basicly proven completely already. How the hell would we else be able to breed species? I know it's forced evolution; but it's still evolution.
I believe the name is Agnostic but I don't like the implication behind it of "don't know/don't care" as a lot are very deep, spiritual and open minded as you said.
@darthkahn45 I don't wanna call myself agnostic. First of all because I want to be myself without being categorized at all whatsoever. Second, because people say it can mean this and that. Some even says it means you're looking for a religion, and some says it means you just believe in a unknown higher power; but not a God. Either way, I'll say fuck to be categorized into some bullshit I will have to explain - I'm a realist; period.
@kurvos If you say to people "im a realist period" most would assume you are an Atheist as they are commonly seen to have that self rightous condecending attitude with the "magic sky daddy" thing and the unicorns and pixies routine.
You may not want to be bundled into a group but you are closer to an Agnostic than you are to anything else. Not many religious discussions would start and end with a single question.
There are a few of subcatagories so you don't have anything to worry about.
@darthkahn45 I'm a realist I've said. I don't care if there are people out there too stupid to realise - but being realistic is to not be closeminded to what IS real, and accept lots of aspects as possible answers. It's not like Christians I know in real life find it misleading - they even go as far as telling me they know Christians aren't that much into the realistic aspects. Then again, I don't live in the US - and quite frankly, I happen to know Christians in USA are mostly morons.
@kurvos You "happen to know" Christians in USA are mostly morons? Please elaborate on that for us morons for a minute. I would love to see that piece of evidence you want to present. I really hope you say something about it being "from your experience." That way I can say that you're thought process is no different than me saying I believe in God because I have experienced Him. Just saying.
@ThePurpleandGreenOne "For us morons"? Dude, I don't put all Americans in a nutshell. I said "mostly". And duh - of course I mean from my own experience. I thought you assumed that. I've talked to hundreds of Christians from USA. On top of it, I've seen shows and documentaries and of course movies from USA. And damn; there's a lot of Christian bullshit in the country. But not saying anything about you - you might be awesome for all I know or don't know.
I'm no atheist, but I'm no Christian either. I am what I would myself refer to as a realist. I am very openminded, but also very down-to-earth at the same time. I have no idea what will happen when I die. Maybe reincarnation exists? No idea. However, that would mean we have souls; and then there should technicly be a biological term for it as well, as everything existing should have to do with biology. My bottomline is - I do not exclude any possibility.. even though God IS fictional, technicly.
Okay, first of all alot of your "questions" were statements. also you only used questions that the stereotypical athiest would argue about. Think about this, if someone who had schizophrenia could have written the bible and what would be the difference? If it was okay for someone to say a voice in there head was god back then how come now if someone says that they are psychotic? If dying means you go to heaven, then why is it a bad thing to murder? you would be doing them a favor.
Great video mate shot her down in flames, these people really bug me it's as if I lack something in my brain cos I don't believe in god how arrogant religion is
"How did evolution come about?" Well, I dont know about public schooling around the world, but anyone on my elementary school who wouldnt know the answer to this 'question' wouldnt pass the seventh grade...
You're implying the God of gaps argument, where if Science lacks an answer for a certain part of the universe then you say "It must be God" But how do you know it's God without evidence to suggest that? You don't. So why assume his presence without any facts or evidence? Without proof there is a God, I won't accept one for that reason. Just because something can't be explained doesn't mean it's God.
I have 3 questions for atheists. 1) are you against private religious schools? 2) do you want "under God" out of the pledge of allegiance? 3) can you be Christian and "intellectual?"
@rockstorm96 1) Yes, the child does not say "Mum, I hear good things about St. Cecelia's, can I go there?" The parent makes the decision and has the child further brainwashed by the school. 2) I live in England, I really couldn't care less. 3) Yes, but to a degree, if anybody blindly follows a religion based on faith alone, they can't be considered very smart. But Newton was religious (due to the time he was alive), and he had some wonderful ideas about gravity. I would call him an intellectual.
@rockstorm96 "under god" was added during the 50's as a cynical response to McCarthyism. At the time, arguing against adding the phrase meant you may have been a godless communist. Such thinking was incredibly damaging to our country, and to intellectual curiosity in general. That hardly constitues a ringing affirmation of the support of a generic mythological big guy.
She wasn't debating, she was just curious. As an atheist, I ask questions like this to try and understand a Christian point of view. Why shouldn't she?
This is almost too much for words. How stupid can a person be? Sometimes I truluy wish there would come a judgement day to take away all those suckers.
ok that was an "interesting" video... but uh people why does religion really matter honestly? i like pie and long live Trade Federation... that's all that matters... but it also seems some people who "believe" in Chrisitian religion can't seem to keep their P.J.s on so don't tell me random Muslims and Jews r overpopulating... we all r... including u Athiests.. why can't we be Agnostic or have our own beliefs? c'mon (a VERY RANDOM COMMENT)
This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. 3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy[a] all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”
"I'm not trying to demean your ideas...by making this video." THANK YOU. Asking questions is fine, but they usually are pretty condescending. But you framed this in a beautiful way, thanks!
If a substantial body of scientific (testable, reproducible, etc.) evidence suddenly developed indicating a superbeing created the world 6000 years ago, I would accept that willingly. However, the overwhelming body of evidence suggests otherwise...and this human legume doesn't accept it, but embraces a mythological standard. Therefore, why would anyone believe said legume is more moral, friendly, useful, etc. because they reject evidence for myth?
Religious people are just the dumbest and most useless people on the planet............outside of section 8 users, who at least know how to use the system.
one more thing, I failed to mention that I am not even an Atheist, but an Agnostic rather. & even I know that there is no debating an atheist. unless you have some form of evidence to display. I share stories all the time, but the real question will always arise, "can I prove it?" What you need to be asking is, what kind of proof or evidence are Atheist asking for or do they need? An atheist sees no reason to believe in a god, (for the lack of a reason to) & therefore simply does not.
+ to add, they are only authority or in authority as long as you let them be so, or allow it. I think it is more than HIGH TIME to tell them all to step down, you are nobody, and deserve less.
"a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defence of custom." Thomas Paine
The real question is if life is the same, persistent throughout the Universe, or diverse forms only what we consider alien to us, & vs vrs. There is no "debate" on atheism. It is a simple fact of proof. The lack of evidence verses what many argue as simply, to have "faith" is what is needed. I have faith in science, that we will find out more through thinking using reason & logic, then blind, unknowing faith. We are told not to question authority, that has & is the problem still.
Finally morals have a basis in what is good for society. But really for the atheist what is good for society only matters because it helps me. If it did not then there is no reason to help society. So in the end it is really about what is good for me and not society. As an atheist I only care about society because it helps me. At least that is what the end to what was argued in the video.
@MrBlackhaw If you perish after death, by helping society you will be remembered. If we look back at famous historic people there is that common productive trait. The only religious people you hear about are people like mother Therese who cared for many people. You don't have to be religious to care for others in this way. If atheists care (which many do), it is because they choose to care, not because they have to. There is a natural feeling of satisfaction when you help someone else.
@MrBlackhaw You basically said that theists will live more moral live than atheists because they have a divine being that they want to please. You said that atheists will only do things if they gain something from it. Well I'd also like to throw in there the fact that I consider theists to be self-centered. I say this because they want to do things so that they (themselves) can get into an afterlife, also the Christian god for instance has very selfish characteristics.
superstition is a barrieer to progress. More dfined would be the Christian superstition is a barrier to progress. Why? And really how important is progress beyond what can help me in the here and now? Who cares what happens after I die. I mean if I am an atheist who cares?
@MrBlackhaw Atheists accept that they do not know how some aspects of creation, and many live productive lives attempting to answer these questions whilst discovering great things. Many religious people are actively trying to end the world because they are obsessed with some imaginary place which they believe they will end up after death. This is a reason why religion can be bad. Also projects such as stem cell research which can be used to cure diseases are delayed due to religion.
Second question: Richard Dawkins and the aliens creating life on earth. Answer given is that aliens life on earth is more plausible (or maybe just as plausible) as a belief in God. The Problem is that Christians (and many other religions) believe that God created the whole universe and well basically everything. So he would have created the aliens. So the real question is not who created life on earth but who created life and really who created anything?

Her faith isn't in a gOD, it's in those that have told her the 'truth'. Those she respects & admires - parents & scholars of hokum & lies.

1) Read a text book
2) Yes, the reason is obvious. Animals don't have YouTube
3) Stupid question. Not gonna answer
4) I personally don't care. I'd be friends with someone who worshiped a lamp
5) The brain is very powerful. People underestimate it all the time. If you believe in something very strongly, your brain can simulate certain things. I'm not a scientist so i dont know if that made any sense to anyone else. But...

Anyway, what I want to say is this - no one knows if we cease to exist when we die. We shouldn't give a crap about if we do or not - just enjoy the life for what it is.

I like meeting someone friendly, so I try to be friendly.
I don't like when someone takes something that's mine, so I don't steal.
If your moral comes from god and only god, don't you ever try to think for yourself?
When someone kills someone do you think; "God doesn't like killing, so I shouldn't like it either"? Or do you think; "What if that was your friend?"?

Darwin stated in the origin of species, that even though primates and humans have no common ancestor, he felt confident, as time went on, that one would be found and that's how he came of with his "science". None has been found yet. Maybe God created evolution?....it's just a theory.
slauertura77 6 months ago

The Big Bang is not a scientific theory yet. It is a model as insufficient verifiable data is present and the experiments are negligible to date.

I know it's forced evolution; but it's still evolution.
kurvos 7 months ago
@kurvos I believe the exact same thing, well put.
I believe the name is Agnostic but I don't like the implication behind it of "don't know/don't care" as a lot are very deep, spiritual and open minded as you said.
darthkahn45 7 months ago
@darthkahn45 I don't wanna call myself agnostic. First of all because I want to be myself without being categorized at all whatsoever. Second, because people say it can mean this and that. Some even says it means you're looking for a religion, and some says it means you just believe in a unknown higher power; but not a God. Either way, I'll say fuck to be categorized into some bullshit I will have to explain - I'm a realist; period.
kurvos 7 months ago
@kurvos If you say to people "im a realist period" most would assume you are an Atheist as they are commonly seen to have that self rightous condecending attitude with the "magic sky daddy" thing and the unicorns and pixies routine.
You may not want to be bundled into a group but you are closer to an Agnostic than you are to anything else. Not many religious discussions would start and end with a single question.
There are a few of subcatagories so you don't have anything to worry about.
darthkahn45 7 months ago
@darthkahn45 I'm a realist I've said. I don't care if there are people out there too stupid to realise - but being realistic is to not be closeminded to what IS real, and accept lots of aspects as possible answers. It's not like Christians I know in real life find it misleading - they even go as far as telling me they know Christians aren't that much into the realistic aspects. Then again, I don't live in the US - and quite frankly, I happen to know Christians in USA are mostly morons.
kurvos 7 months ago
@kurvos You "happen to know" Christians in USA are mostly morons? Please elaborate on that for us morons for a minute. I would love to see that piece of evidence you want to present. I really hope you say something about it being "from your experience." That way I can say that you're thought process is no different than me saying I believe in God because I have experienced Him. Just saying.
ThePurpleandGreenOne 6 months ago
@ThePurpleandGreenOne "For us morons"? Dude, I don't put all Americans in a nutshell. I said "mostly". And duh - of course I mean from my own experience. I thought you assumed that. I've talked to hundreds of Christians from USA. On top of it, I've seen shows and documentaries and of course movies from USA. And damn; there's a lot of Christian bullshit in the country. But not saying anything about you - you might be awesome for all I know or don't know.
kurvos 6 months ago
I'm no atheist, but I'm no Christian either. I am what I would myself refer to as a realist. I am very openminded, but also very down-to-earth at the same time. I have no idea what will happen when I die. Maybe reincarnation exists? No idea. However, that would mean we have souls; and then there should technicly be a biological term for it as well, as everything existing should have to do with biology. My bottomline is - I do not exclude any possibility.. even though God IS fictional, technicly.
kurvos 7 months ago
Okay, first of all alot of your "questions" were statements. also you only used questions that the stereotypical athiest would argue about. Think about this, if someone who had schizophrenia could have written the bible and what would be the difference? If it was okay for someone to say a voice in there head was god back then how come now if someone says that they are psychotic? If dying means you go to heaven, then why is it a bad thing to murder? you would be doing them a favor.

kiberkaos 7 months ago
You're implying the God of gaps argument, where if Science lacks an answer for a certain part of the universe then you say "It must be God" But how do you know it's God without evidence to suggest that? You don't. So why assume his presence without any facts or evidence? Without proof there is a God, I won't accept one for that reason. Just because something can't be explained doesn't mean it's God.

I have 3 questions for atheists. 1) are you against private religious schools? 2) do you want "under God" out of the pledge of allegiance? 3) can you be Christian and "intellectual?"
rockstorm96 7 months ago
@rockstorm96 1) Yes, the child does not say "Mum, I hear good things about St. Cecelia's, can I go there?" The parent makes the decision and has the child further brainwashed by the school. 2) I live in England, I really couldn't care less. 3) Yes, but to a degree, if anybody blindly follows a religion based on faith alone, they can't be considered very smart. But Newton was religious (due to the time he was alive), and he had some wonderful ideas about gravity. I would call him an intellectual.
Jed0fSpades 7 months ago
@rockstorm96 "under god" was added during the 50's as a cynical response to McCarthyism. At the time, arguing against adding the phrase meant you may have been a godless communist. Such thinking was incredibly damaging to our country, and to intellectual curiosity in general. That hardly constitues a ringing affirmation of the support of a generic mythological big guy.

Therefore, why would anyone believe said legume is more moral, friendly, useful, etc. because they reject evidence for myth?

one more thing, I failed to mention that I am not even an Atheist, but an Agnostic rather.
Weltgeist13 8 months ago
+ to add, they are only authority or in authority as long as you let them be so, or allow it. I think it is more than HIGH TIME to tell them all to step down, you are nobody, and deserve less.
"a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defence of custom." Thomas Paine
Weltgeist13 8 months ago
The real question is if life is the same, persistent throughout the Universe, or diverse forms only what we consider alien to us, & vs vrs. There is no "debate" on atheism. It is a simple fact of proof. The lack of evidence verses what many argue as simply, to have "faith" is what is needed. I have faith in science, that we will find out more through thinking using reason & logic, then blind, unknowing faith. We are told not to question authority, that has & is the problem still.
Weltgeist13 8 months ago
Finally morals have a basis in what is good for society. But really for the atheist what is good for society only matters because it helps me. If it did not then there is no reason to help society. So in the end it is really about what is good for me and not society. As an atheist I only care about society because it helps me. At least that is what the end to what was argued in the video.
MrBlackhaw 8 months ago
@MrBlackhaw If you perish after death, by helping society you will be remembered. If we look back at famous historic people there is that common productive trait. The only religious people you hear about are people like mother Therese who cared for many people. You don't have to be religious to care for others in this way. If atheists care (which many do), it is because they choose to care, not because they have to. There is a natural feeling of satisfaction when you help someone else.
themongru 8 months ago
@MrBlackhaw You basically said that theists will live more moral live than atheists because they have a divine being that they want to please. You said that atheists will only do things if they gain something from it. Well I'd also like to throw in there the fact that I consider theists to be self-centered. I say this because they want to do things so that they (themselves) can get into an afterlife, also the Christian god for instance has very selfish characteristics.
themongru 8 months ago
superstition is a barrieer to progress. More dfined would be the Christian superstition is a barrier to progress. Why? And really how important is progress beyond what can help me in the here and now? Who cares what happens after I die. I mean if I am an atheist who cares?
MrBlackhaw 8 months ago
@MrBlackhaw Atheists accept that they do not know how some aspects of creation, and many live productive lives attempting to answer these questions whilst discovering great things. Many religious people are actively trying to end the world because they are obsessed with some imaginary place which they believe they will end up after death. This is a reason why religion can be bad. Also projects such as stem cell research which can be used to cure diseases are delayed due to religion.
themongru 8 months ago
Second question: Richard Dawkins and the aliens creating life on earth. Answer given is that aliens life on earth is more plausible (or maybe just as plausible) as a belief in God. The Problem is that Christians (and many other religions) believe that God created the whole universe and well basically everything. So he would have created the aliens. So the real question is not who created life on earth but who created life and really who created anything?
