  • All the torque and will probably twist the frame a bit...

  • Motor looks pretty cool in there.

  • Very Nice!

  • i have a 2 door 96 . and a 383 stroker layin around now let me ask u this is it a bitch tryin to put it in or pretty simple if you kno what your doing ?

  • @RideHigh4wd It's fairly easy, contact Novak Adapt for info

  • lol nicee

  • Have fun making a hood that fits! Whata beast

  • man that is killer. nd still one of my future plans i wanna do. I love the sound and power of the 5.3s and can only imagine one in an xj...

  • Cool man! What gears are you running with that? And are those stock diffs still? Can't see on my phone. Looks like stock D30 still. I bet you go through axles like mad if you are wheeling that thing.

  • im jealous!

  • what is that out of a grand cherokee?

  • @SneekySnakeOO What, the engine? that's a Chevrolet 5.3 out of a 2002 Avalanche 1500

  • I like it. I'm waiting for gm to come out with the Erod 5.3 end of the year. so I'm nursing the old 4.0 with 305k on it.

  • @villademoros i dont know if youve heard of fords new ecoboost engines. 3.5l V6 twin turbo puts out 365 hp and 420 ft lbs torque. they're going into the new f-150. and it reaches full torque at 2500 rpm

  • Sounds so sexy

But I'll stick with the straight six in my 99 classic 4.5 lift on 37s oooooh flowmasters don't sound too bad either

  • Yup so what trails has this truck been on??

  • Why wouldn't Chrysler make this kind of stuff from the factory? I guess I'll just stick with my six.. I've already hopped it up anyways...

'98 Cherokee XJ Limited, fully loaded. 310-rwhp and 365-ft.lbs to the rear wheels. Dana 40 front and Dana 44 rear axle.

  • @Sarcasticscum

how did you get that much power out of a 4.0 straight 6?

    stroker with a turbo?

    serious

I ve got a stock 93 xj with the HO 4.0

    looking for some more power

    would love some ideas

  • @satchboogyfan

No sir, no turbo. Natural aspiration my friend!! Honestly I couldn't even tell you where I began with that engine, because I no longer own the Jeep. About 4 days ago, I was blind-sided by a drunk driver on I-40, heading towards Greensboro, NC. That XJ was AMAZING, but I'm also lucky to be alive and talking to you about it here... It was actually a '99 Jeep, lol. I just read my old comment and found a typo.

  • @Sarcasticscum Where did you buy your d44's from?

  • @badmunkie513

I pulled mine off of two different '68 J2000s at my local junkyard.. I believe the pair was around $400.... I spent another $1200 on Detroit lockers.. Funny thing about mine is that it looks stock, except for a 2" lift... Next, I'm gonna throw on some rear discs from a YJ...

  • @Sarcasticscum Ahh nice, D44's around here are sooooo expensive even at junkyards "im just mins from windrock offroad park", My 98 limited has 5.5in rock crawler and 33s, D44's from a totaled 06 rubicon

  • @Sarcasticscum IVe got 4k into my axles btw, but its all factory, I found D44's in a J-20 at a local u-pull it and he wanted 800 per axle, funny thing is....Next weekend they were gone

  • @Sarcasticscum

The rare and elusive Dana 40 . You know the 5.3 is not laying down 310 hp/365 lbft to the wheels .

  • what radiator did you use?

  • @Frankamc The Novak kit has an aluminum radiator in their option list, and that's the one the Jeep owner bought, i believe it's made by Griffin

  • is than an LS2?

  • @jeepxjjj i understand is a lm7 (5.3 truck engine) saw it on ls1tech, awesome truck

  • I don't see any unirail bracing/plating in front wheel wells is the unibody doing ok with just a cage ?

  • I love it.. Replayed this video like i dont know how many time alreadyy!!!!!!! Lmao!!

  • Wow must respect sounds beastly. Could i ask the over all cost for everything put into and bought for this jeep man? Good job

  • @msenosk it costs about $5,000 in parts alone

  • @castropato

Sure does get expensive paying a shop to bolt stuff in.

  • ha you better be putting One tons under that thing or your going to be replacing D35 shafts for a long time!!!!

  • @justin1989001 It already has a Ford 8.8 in the back

  • @castropato HAHAHA ok wel as soon as you take it over rocks and punch the gas it will snap when putting that big of a V8 in you really need 1 ton axles and a 8.8 is not a one ton!!! dana 60 would be the way to go!!!

  • @justin1989001 I know but this Jeep isn't gonna be used for rocks, mostly mild terrain and sand dunes

  • @castropato oh well that makes more sense!!!!!

  • @castropato that ford 8.8 will hold all the abuse you can throw at it with that amount of tire im running 35x16 boggers and beat the piss out of it and havnt had any problems unless your going with 39+ tires you'll be fine dont waste money if you dont need to.

  • @castropato if its mostly mild terrain why waste the money for that kind of power

  • @bigburton4 Well, it's not really for the trail. I mean yeah, I have a Cherokee Classic and I love it...the sound, the power. But you can't ignore the awesome burble and growl from an American V8. If I were to guess why he did it...1, the power for speed and/or 2, mad bragging rights!!!

  • @justin1989001 look at test vids of an 8.8 . the stock axles break around the same pressure as stock dana 60 shafts.. my 8.8 with dtroit and stock axles hass held up to 37's and a fully exod xj. 2 years strong now. but u must weld the tubes to the pumpkin. they will spin

  • whats the word on this XJ? that thing is SICK!

  • damn that sounds like a beast

  • is it still the unibody or is it a diffrent frame

  • @kyle91390 It's the stock unibody

  • did u keep the stock transmission or which one do u have

  • @furrybeans The transmission is a 4L60E out of a gen III-IV engine

  • Stock axles? Which transfer case?

  • Stock D30/35 axles, the owner is going to upgrade to a Ford 8.8 in the rear soon. The T/C is the stock NP242 with a Novak adapter

  • so its not an xj anymore...

  • Now is an improved XJ, but still an XJ

  • Holly SHIT!

  • by the way, what kind of exhaust setup is on there? sounds nice

  • It has Novak headers, custom "y" pipe, a 3" single exhaust system and a big muffler

  • fuckin badass man, can't wait til i start mine

  • conoci la patente de lejo!

    saludos de usa
