I also don't like how in my version, YELLOW equipment means it must be replaced, while RED equipment means it can be repaired. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Fuck this game was cool. I'd buy it without hesitation if they reissued it.

In spite of the now dated graphics, the gameplay feels more organic than the sequels.
Mechwarrior 4 should have ported this engine for modern hardware.

I remember always failing this mission because I would take the fight to the enemy rather than wait for them to come to me.

just fit some ER PPC on your mech and punch them from 1,2 km range ;)
that's where they are shutted down and powering up when they are coming your way.
i destroyed the first 2 mechs on that crater, and the other 3 while they were about 900 m away
4 ER PPC and the are dead before they know it ;D
