  • @amarcordeon Thank you Lillo for your support of my music activities on YouTube.

  • Nice job to both of you my compliments. Nice accordion Leon.

  • @pyeinthesky Thank you. Nice to hear from you. Still having fun on the motorcycle? Enjoy it while you can.

  • Hi Leon, What I meant was that I hope to do another upload soon, but not an upload of the Hanon exercises. The exercises are rather boring to listen to and tedious to play but I,m half way through the 88 page book just doing the treble clef exercises. The exercises for the bass clef is another story. I try to practice the Hanon exercises every day and also practice sight reading new songs. I enjoy listening to your uploads. Andy

  • Very nice with your wife playing accompaniment! This polka was named after Jenny Lind the "Swedish Nightingale". I am still working on "Hannon for the Accordion". I hope to have something uploaded on YT soon. Your progress and determination have been an inspiration to me. Andy

  • @AIJohnsen Thank you for the nice comment and for the background on the Jenny Lind. Do I understand you correctly that you will upload example performances of the famous piano strength and skill exercises called "Hanon" arranged for accordion? If so, that is wonderful. Such example videos will be of great interest to all intermediate and advanced level accordionists. I wish I had the skill to make such videos myself.

  • De retour de vacances, je viens écouter les progrés et il y en a bravo ! bravo !Léon c'est super !

  • @ladybirdmama Thank you Fatima for visiting and for your kindness. The duet was fun. We will do it again soon. I hope everything is well on your end and you are practicing accordion regularly. Here's an idea. Why not play accordion while balancing on a rock?

    Leon

  • you are playing so good~ And I like your strategy of learning, you always show improvement in your songs~

  • @accordionlearner Thank you for your encouraging comment. You are doing pretty good yourself. I am happy to know that we are both learning together.

    Leon

  • Very nice duet. Keep up the good work.

    Simon

  • @AccordionHour2010 Thanks for visiting.

  • Bravo, bravo, bravissimo Leon.... Nice melody.

  • @janucik Thank you so much for your encouragement. It means a lot to me.

    Leon

  • what a charming couple. i love your smiles! Leon have you thought of trying some of Yann Tiersen's music. I really like his pieces. That's my goal to learn some of those some day. Hope to see you do some of his on here.

  • @Mrsjamett Thank you so much for the kind comment. Yes, of course I think often of Yann Tiersen's music. Like you, that is one of my goals. But at least for the immediate future I think it is best for me to work with progressive material from standard courses and workbooks, at least until I build more solid skill. That strategy has been working well for me. But yes, eventually I will get to "Valse d'Amelie" and "Valse des Monstres". I promise.

    Leon

  • Hi Leon,

I am about 3 months behind you in terms of skill in playing the accordion. I actually started the Palmer Hughes book the same month you did!

Anyway, I am writing this message to say that you played this piece absolutely perfectly. It sounds like it is very advanced. There must be quite a jump in the difficulty of the books.

As always, keep up the good work and thank you for being the perfect reference for me, making sure I play these pieces as written.

    Luke.

  • @ausmariner1 Hi Luke. Thank you so much for your message. You are living proof that my channel is working, and I congratulate you on your progress. The experience has been very positive for me. This "Jenny Lind" is a good example. I posted it once, and then I received a lot of advice on how to improve it. It's like having a virtual teacher. Nice hearing from you.

    Leon

  • Brilliant

    I have to learn this
