Das dachte ich früher auch! Aber wenn Du auf der Strecke, in der Du mit Deinem Golf sonst auf 180 kamst gleich bei 300 bist, geht das ziemlich leicht. Ich wundere mich immer wieder, dass ich bei jeder kleinsten Fahrt auf der Autobahn immer über 280 drauf kriege. Selbst an einem Freitag Nachmittag. Es geht ziemlich unproblematisch.

Und wenn mir heute einer sagt, dass man heute eh nicht mehr schnell fahren könne, dann hat er entweder eine automobile Krücke oder keine Ahnung.

I live in Germany and have a Z06 on my own! This is definitely no fake. Doing 200 mph+ is easy in Germany and with the Z06. The only problem is, that you have to lift early when there is a uncertain situation. I did 337 km/h with mine and it still was not finished.

My friend also own Zo6 and he said me that car won't accelerate more than 328km/h (203MPH) measured with GPS. probably that is real top speed. You need more power or better aerodynamic. Gearing is very long in Zo6, that's good. 5th gear is final somewhere about 195 MPH.

My Z06 has some nice Callaway conversions. There are only about 50 hp more, but another important thing is the Eibach Racing-suspension. This keeps the car extremely stable at very high speeds. And it is lower and has the ZR-1 spoilers, which produce more downforce. This allows easy driving even at about 200 mph. A friend had an R8 V10, which was not able to follow. Two weeks ago I had my personal record: 339 km/h and still accelerating! :-)

As for these other European cars mentioned the 1988 Corvette Callaway Sledgehammer twin turbo street legal 880hp top speed 254.3 google that it's worth looking at. Also remember this is a Z06 not a Zr-1. Send it to John Ligenfelter and when you get it back with 1300HP upgraded suspenion, transmission, and body then take it out there. 0-60's also...

If you wanna sit in a plain race-cockpit, go with the corvette. Then you would be an example example for someone who's violating the driving laws AND making the highways unsafe. Blocking the left lane for faster cars while there is more than enough room on the right lane does two things:

1. It brakes the following traffic down to your speed, which means you're blocking the traffic capability of the track.

2. You're provoking an accident.
