Masking is putting and image with the subject of the video being suspended by something, above a picture with no subject. When you erase the suspenders it will appear that subject is flying and or floating. But it's not only limited to making things fly. Look up 'Bowling for Sandercore' for a nice tutorial.

You mean like the background for the ship shot, or like the logo? Background was done using green-screening technique (this is a bad example of it though), the logo I made with ppt 2007, funny enough. The white-flash I just did frame by frame, increasing white-level and exposure (for the horse-flash part). Missing anything?

Why spend money on scenery? An app (for PC) called "helium frog" is a good stopmotion program, which has green-screen capabilities. That means you can have any scenery you want without any building, just finding a picture. Try the download; it also would make proper animation much easier as well

How do you keep the master sword's handle from losing paint when you put it in/ take it our of link's hand?

Nothing. It just doesn't come off. Though, on one of the sides (of the blade) a fair amount of paint is taken off, so I'm always sure that it's rotated to not show that side (even if the sword's being 'spun')

oh boy, it's a process.

The lego swords I was able to add in using a makeshift green-screen effect. This is actually why there's a little flaw, with the 'bumps' at the right side of the logo.

The rest, believe it or not, was made with micorsoft 2007. The effects they have and shape you can make are endless. I was able to put in gradients and 'special effects' (the glow) and reflection with that, copy into paint (with green-screened swords) save and there you go, a nice looking logo.
