Yâ-hwéh means "He causes/will cause existence" & is from the verb "HâWâH" "to be" (Strong's 1933). "YaHuWaH" is NOT HEBREW & NOT even a possible rendition of "HâWâH" or "HâYâH" (H1961)! YâHuW (as in YÂHUWSHÚA`) is the preterite form of Yâ-hwéh.

isn't marya the emphatic of mar, and it wouldn't have to be equivalent to Yahweh, although it is also used to denote Him, "The Lord". Isn't it also true that, in 1 Peter 5:3, in the instructions that a bishop must not lord his rulership over the flock, he also uses the emphatic form? Certainly he's not saying "don't Yahweh it over the flock"?

People try to use the same reasoning with kurios in the LXX and NT...

Peter 5:3 says:

3. Not as if you were Yâ-hwéh over your portion of the flock, instead, becoming models of the flock;

The MARYA once again lets us know that Yahweh was there. And it makes sense in that context. And why do you use the Imposter's name "Jesus"? Can a person be delivered from a Lie? We can ONLY accept what is in the New Convenant from believing in the Savior's name.

I think you need to understand that Mar is not a CODE, it's a WORD with a meaning.

The peshitta we have today is, as I understand it, of a linguistic style that is 4th-5th century, although elements in it are probably from an/the original Aramaic.

As far as Jesus/Yahuwshua, I think there's some confusion there...why do you think God cares about the letters?

1) there's no SH sound in Greek

2) there's no visible H in Greek, but later it is shown with a ' mark

3) no Y - I is used as Y, as in Latin

4) -a would be a feminine suffix in Greek

Yehoshua/Yeshua > Ieshua > Iesua > Iesous

Iesous > Latin Iesus > Jesus

Joshua/Jeshua etc. were all Iesous in the Greek, even before Jesus' time...and the apostles never argued things like that

@x6troy Yeah, but name has a broader meaning, doesn't it? Like on the one hand, God says His name is Jealous, because He's a jealous God. Then, on the other hand, Jesus says that He writes on the names of the overcomers His Father's name, the name of the Holy City, and His new name. Three names or one name? I do believe they are one name, but I don't think that one name is talking about a specific combination of letters or anything like that, otherwise He'd have to tattoo/brand it on

Yes, "MAR" and "MARYA" are words but they are used as "codes" to help understand when the word refers to Yahweh or when it just means sovereign. "Yehowshua" is a substitution given by the Jews who did not permit anyone to speak the name Yahuwshua, because of the Yahuw. They did not want to "take His name in vain", a misunderstanding of that commandment. So nobody was permitted to say Yahuw, the imperfect form of Yahweh.
