Jackie was wrong here. She was struggling with the bad experiences she has had, but punishing Fred for them wasn't a solution. Fathers should have the right to know their children, and had Fred gone through with the suit, he would have at least been awarded joint custody as a reasonable person with a steady income and no blotches in his history.

I feel bad for Jackie being stressed while shes pregnant can't be good for the baby, however she brought it on herself for completely cutting Fred out. It isn't fair to the child to deny them of having a Father, it's not like Fred is a bad guy or a drug addict or something

Remember this. Not only was it a one night stand,but Fred was also the rebound guy, he was the first guy Jackie had been with since Fisher. Jackie wasn't looking for anything serious, while Fred was and a little soon at that. Because of Fisher, this is why Jackie still had trust issues. Fred was a good guy, boring lol, but still nice. But they did need to give Jackie her space, that's why she became mean and it made her crazy. But in the end she realized they all are not like Fisher.

Jackie has no right to keep her child from having a relationship with his father, she is a very scary individual. What is really beyond frightening is that she will be raising a boy to manhood. Fred is correct. Jackie has no right to call the shots when it comes to THEIR baby. If she is going to behave like that, he has no choice but to get the law involved. This is only a TV show of course, but the whole principle of the thing gets me upset. At least they showed both sides of the story. Laurie is still a great actress and adds so much to the show, but I lost a lot of respect for her character (Jackie) in this one. I don't know why they had to write this nonsense :-(

If i were in a situation like that i would just let the father be and take care of my baby the best i could, trying to force someone to want to be with there child even though they'd rather not just would cause more problems that no child should go through.
