Perfect love song with a lovely message. Could have been mushy with it's message but it isn't. It is just about love and welcoming them home. Weren't the 70's great.
They simply dont make songs like this anymore!, takes me back to my childhood, a time of innocence and safety with my family, some of who are nonger around anymore
I met them on blackpool peer back in either 1973 or 74 they were performing there at the time and my Grandad dragged me over to them to say HI! lol they were very gracious and I had no Idea who they were, but they will always be a fond memory to me of my granda who never seemed to be put off from his Irish forwardness. Granda R.I.P. ty for posting this.
What a great memory!! Such a good song. I remember buying this single for my best friend's 12th birthday in 1973. It cost me 45pence, almost a week's pocket money, but she was well worth it!

hi
i'm 43
and as a child the 1st 'vaguely famous' stars i saw interviewed were these 2
i knew enough 2 know what the 'but your fameously ''nice'' comment meant
but
thats just it
mebbe the director was yellin 'cut!'
cos it was sooo bloody obvious that - fuck me - they Were!
and were well capable of handling who ever 'look north' or someone had sent to ''interview'' ~ them
