It was the Englisc people who gave their name to England, which means "land of the Engle". There was no nation in Britain until the early English formed England. Therefore it can't be the case that "the Celts and the Welsh here before the English" because without the Englisc there would be no England! So indeed the anglosaxons were the indigenous Englisc from which the English today are descended.

If I must be honest the only country where I've felt uncomfortable for being English, is Wales, as I said I've never experienced it whilst being in Scotland.

Considering the entire population of Scotland is only 5mil people (compared to Londons 11million) and the Scottish also pay their own taxes which support the UK whole, in the big picture, is the cost that much?

This is one of the main reasons I voted for the English Democrats. I've paid £3,225 for my first year's fees. Next year, I'll be paying £3,290. Add this to the maintenance loans, my debt is going to come out as just under £35,000 and, with no transferable skills and the current economic climate, it'll be almost impossible for me to find a job. It is difficult to clearly define the origins of the English, owing to the close interactions between the English and their neighbours in the British Isles, and the waves of immigration that have added to England's population at different periods till now.

It was the Englisc people who gave their name to England, which means "land of the Engle". There was no nation in Britain until the early English formed England. Therefore it can't be the case that "the Celts and the Welsh here before the English" because without the Englisc there would be no England! So indeed the anglosaxons were the indigenous Englisc from which the English today are descended.

Also, we need to be very careful about saying that 'English taxpapers pay for Scottish education. Subsidies to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are creamed off the UK's three most prosperous regions - Greater London, South East Region and Eastern Region. The other six UK regions that make up England ALL have a budget deficit to the Treasury, i.e. they are all subsidised by the Southeast the same as the Scots and the Welsh.

This is one of the main reasons I voted for the English Democrats. I've paid £3,225 for my first year's fees. Next year, I'll be paying £3,290. Add this to the maintenance loans, my debt is going to come out as just under £35,000 and, with no transferable skills and the current economic climate, it'll be almost impossible for me to find a job. This student is not English, he has taken on a civic English role. His ethnicity is not English.The ethnically English need their wishes and needs addressing right now more than ever & the EDP are not listening but are listening to and promoting immigrants. Nobody is against the Scottish and it isn't racism. Turn Scotland and England around, Scotland had what the English aren't getting and England get what the Scots currently enjoy. How long would it be before the Scots were saying the same things as the English are now. It's a matter of being fair to everybody and that isn't happening while one section/country isn't paying for things and the other gets it paid for by the rest of us, because nothing is free it's paid for out of our taxes.
