  • 2:09 Being a Hitman, you're doing it wrong...

  • i agree with this, i've played games all my life and never wanted to kill anyone, if i did , i would just run over pedestrians in GTA or Slay 150 Majini in Biohazard 5, this argument is bullshit, sure a 9 year old shouldn't play GTA or God of War, but i would let them play Biohazard or Tomb Raider, i look at the CONTENT in the game, not just because of some gore

  • in ecco the dolphin, it does flips, which looks like balls!!!!! geddit!! see, it workd!

  • If there's something strange

    in your neighbourhood

    Who ya gonna call?

    JACK THOMPSON!

    If there's something weird

    and it don't look good

    Who ya gonna call?

    JACK THOMPSON!

Oh btw Jack Thompson is an asshole.

  • fuck

    ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • sonic runs violently fast! OH NOES!!!

  • I said it before and I'll say it again: this is a terrible video. It promotes that violence is the root of aggression in society. I hope you failed your project.

  • @Knifeparty89 That's because it is. Videogames are a way to let out some steam.

  • @Knifeparty89 lolzz im actually doing a project for this...but im saying it duz cause violence

  • Failure.

  • Yeah, before on the news I heard some teenagers killed someone after they got gta 4.

  • They were probably crazy and needed professional help before they bought the game.

  • If I stab someone in a videogame, then would I stab someone in real life? NO. Oh, and whos supplying these "awful" games to their children anyways?

  • If you love video games, rate this video whit 1 star

    sorry for my bad inglish

  • ... how is sonic violent?

  • how is mario violent?

  • jumping on life till it blows up

  • how is echo violent?

  • You know you're so right, but ppl also don't seem to realize that violence in children has grown so much bc of media and the violence in it thats made it seem "OK" to children, for them to grow immune to it.

  • I think you're absolutely right ! if you see violence during your childhood you'll be used to it... I think that's even better than not seeing violence :)

  • Its not like after playing gta at my age i would want to go get chased by cops!

  • OK to all you atnividiogames activists YOU HAVE LOST we have allredy won scince jack tomson went up in flames no one takes this crap sereosly anymore and we have the book GRAND THEFT CHILDHOOD whos studys say all the antividiogame studys are wrong there is no direct link between game violance and real world violance all these people are are fashits of religos all they see is that they are morraly abject to the game and there in there valusyistem witch is so supereor to our and every one should +

  • ERES UN VIL IDIOTA

  • whats the name of that music song???

  • i mean the song of the beginning

  • Artist: POD

    Song: Boom!

  • i hate faggots who blame violent games for what people do! i mean what happened to people just being crazy! adults are retarded and think they have to blame games for thier child being stupid!

  • I'm going to take a chain saw to the goveners house and cut off his head and that won't have anythink to do with video game viloence. It will be his hate speches that will fule my anger!!!!!!! If you think video games are the reason there is vilonce in this world you can burn in hellllllllllllllL!L!L!L!L!!L!L!L!L!LL!!L!L!L!L!L!L forever.

  • VIOLENCE KICKS ASS!

  • well, i dont know if i agree with you or not, but "i haven't killed anyone yet" hardly constitutes evidence.

  • i totally wanna kill someone now

  • me 2!!!!!!!!!

  • Count me in!!!!!

  • the only game right now i think is totally violent is gta. even though its fun i can admit its pretty violent

  • Nah Assasin's Creed is THE most violent.

  • Manhunt takes the title as the most violent game I've ever seen.

  • i think bioshock and gears of war is the most game with violence! :D

  • whats the name of the game starting at 2.09 min? hit man?

  • yeah it is hitman blood money

  • oki. thanx for answer.

  • Dude, why didyou just flash Sonic at 1:03? That game's not violent.

  • right

  • why do people think that violence in videogames make people want to kill other people

  • yes video games are always to blame but the wife beating father or the over working mother arent to blame im not trying to say its the parents fault but its not video games fault the media is always trying to blame somebody in the 70's it was violent movies,in the 80's it was cursing in music, and now what video games maybe the media should find something better to do.

  • Your choice of music in this video has more to say about you than it does about the video games. It's a very hostile anthem. Playing violent games doesn't mean you're going to go kill someone, but it is strongly correlated with an increase aggressive behavior. Liking aggressive music is a tacit nod toward an aggressive outlook.

  • Why haven't you killed anyone? probably because not all people who play violent video games become excessively aggressive. Although, studies show that the great majority of people who get in fights do play violent games.

By the way, your non-violent video games are... sort of outdated, and it is my belief that violence goes hand-in-hand with the increasing graphic quality.

  • I meant to say...

"By the way, your less violent video games..."

    XD

  • agreed

  • I find it hilarious as well that parents will claim they're children are violent because of the video games they played meanwhile that child's subconcious has probably been morphed by years of their parent's subliminal messaging, including the likes of shrude business practice, capitalism and propieting their family over everyone elses. The blame lies never on the institutor, they always seek a scapegoat.

  • Here is how I see it. Parents complain about their kids playing these games, but who's fault is it if the children play these violent games? Not the game industry, parenting is a responsibility, and just like adult content is kept away from the kids, our games can be kept away from them. There are lock boxes. We can't even blame it on our kids playing the game at another kids home, because we should know who their friends are, and let their parents know what we do and don't accept for them.

  • I agree with the idea that video games dont cause violence. But i dont agree with that the parents should be to blame discarding what i say later, children should have commen sense.

  • If children don't have a positive influence to follow, especially by parents that are supposed to be raising them, then they do things and blame videogames. Being that I will be working in the game industry, I would rather them just follow the ESRB so that no one hears of any bs about blaming the industry. That would just nip it in the bud with no body pointing fingers except to a parent that whould have supervised their child a bit more closely in my opinion. (I can respect what your saying.)

  • alright i can go with what your saying too

  • LOL my little sister is only 7 and she plays:

bioshock, gears of war, dead space and grand theft auto 4!

  • violent games arent peoples problems they just blame it on video games when parents gave birth to fucking stupid kids

  • i agree

  • totally, games dont kill people idiots do...and chuck norris.also people who blame games just give there 5 year old gta to kill people and tech them its ok.you gotta learn people dont just respawn when you shoot them so its really a choice and rationality.

  • if you dont like games with violence go play games for babies

  • Wow, those games aren't violent except for GTA and Hitman. Watch the vid on my page if you want some seriously violent games.

  • you would make a crap politician lol

  • good vid.

haha imagine if you showed manhunt gameplay

  • boom!!!!!!

  • whats the game at 55secs i was like omg i cant remember haha i loved that game

  • xTerxBerx: It is Golden Axe I or II

  • its weird how the governtment puts too much light on the video game violence. they send troops to other countries and bringing war, rage, rape and real atrocities and they play as if they are angels sent from effin heaven. video games is the same as someone's imagination. no has the right to stop us from using our imagination

  • the only atrocities are the ones our government went to stop...

  • To me violonce in video game are ok only if handaled in a responsable way. Games like Call of duty or medal of honour only show us wot the soliders had to go threw in WW2.

Half life is ok cos its si-fi volince like star wars ect.

GTA is more vilolet but it also handals it in a comical way and it can even desenites most people towardas that kind of voilonce

Although games like Manhunt has no excuse. ive never played but if it lives up to its rep then it should be only be handled propoly

  • I have played a ton of violent games. I still hate to see more than one gallon of blood at a time unless I'm playing a game. I have no intention of ever hurting anyone in my life, and yet blowing up virtual heads is my favorite pastime.

  • The argument concerning violence in games isn't based on the premise that playing them will make you kill someone. It's very well established if you read up on Anderson et al. that violent media, particularly video games, causes desensitization to violence, including real-life situations. If you play a lot of violent games you are less likely to have the normal negative response to violence; you are less likely to help people in violent situations, and, yes, more willing to commit violent acts.

  • therefore it is an unverifiable theory only... not a fact...

  • For a start you probably need to sharpen up on the definition of a 'theory'. Certain aspects of desensitization are entirely verifiable though - e.g. some of the studies I'm referring to measured lowered heart rates and GSRs that occur in those who played violent games when watching real life violence, compared to controls. We're talking large, respectable samples. I'm not saying its necessarily bad - I love GTA for example, but there is a pretty strong argument on BOTH sides. Worth a look.

  • eh... resident evil rox lolz XD

  • eh... resident evil rox lolz XD

  • i think that the root for kids becoming violent by the use of video games comes from the parents. the rating has to do a-lot with this, and only 1 out of 10 parents care about it. Games are just like movies, except that they are interactive, when parents let kids play games for 17+ teens, it is like letting a kid watch playboy tv all day long. what can you spect from a brain that is in development, well, violence. I am 16 and i am a gamer who plays responsible.

  • postal,no more heroes,manhunt,roadkill

  • a good example would have been manhunt 1 n 2 and scarface

  • i will agree with people that video games can influence violent acts to people pre disposed to anger and stuff but... come on i been gaming since i was... umm.. anywhere from 5 and up ( actualy so long i can barley remember) and i'm 16 now.. but i have not ever killed anyone. although i will admit FPS's pretty much taught me how to use a gun.

  • that is true..... people do take things too seriously but i guess it does make people more agressive....

THERES NOTHIN RONG WITH JUMPIN ON A MUSHROOM

    THATS STAMPIN OUT DRUGS! lol

  • i see nothing wrong with putting a chainsaw throu another living person. not at all. :)

  • finnaly some1 that agres itz not like we dont have 50,000,000,000 ppl n diss world already and there gonna die some day

  • i was being sarcastic but in a funny way. ONLY in video games should that be allowed, not in real life.

  • lolz use the post digger (dead rising)

  • how can u nubcakes talk about "most violent" when u haven't even mentioned postal 1+2..banned on release..still banned and still the "most violent" ..

  • condemned is the most violent video game ever

  • pushing for a definite "maybe" thats a pretty big claim.

didnt kane & lynch say they were the most violent? bunch of bollocks really

  • hitman isnt the most violent! ive seen way more violent games than that!

  • god of war that is good game.

  • DAMN STRAIGHT

  • i play all the most violent games and i've never killed anyone... those games are rated! if their parents allow them to buy it it's not my business

  • hitman is probably the most violent of all.. but still i just can't stop playing!

  • manhunt 2 is the most violent

  • you're right.. but hitman is also very violent.. :P

  • how have he recorded the video?? he have ALL THESE GAMES

  • where is resident evil dude that game was born for voilence

  • lol

  • LOL. these are violent video games? super smash bros, zelda, mario? the hell is wrong with you, i have games where you can slowmo an arrow into a guys eye, mutilate dead bodies, blow up innocent people, and poison drunk chicks, i think peach throwing raddish's is the least of your worries.

  • no shil man! this is childs play! compared to the "big boys" "cough doom3 gta san andreas, and others"

  • san andreas isnt violent in the slightest, or it is but not much :P

  • so? it has the ability to kill people! and that is the issue here! hilary will take them away!

  • technically their not people they are 3D programs, all gamers know its not real.

  • true, but its a good way to relive strees, and have fun! :)

  • yeah, apparently some kids are too retarded to realise that, and their parents are too ignorant to even notice the fact that their kids are playing or even have violent games, some parents even buy these kinda games for them.

They should blame the parents, not gamers/games in general because most of us can handle the red pixels.

  • those are my favorite games! those types of games, are most likely played before birth!

  • check my video game violence video out

    it's more informative

  • video games are for FUN STOP BEING TREE HUGING PUSSYS ITS NOT LIKE IF I PLAY GTA I WIL GETA UZI AND SHOOT EVERONE

  • lol u tool thats exactly what he's saying

  • Whats this song called and who sings this?

  • anyone who is against violence in video games is a pussy!

  • cool clips, worthless music

  • the game you have in your video , i think its from 0:54 to 0:58 what is that called?

  • it should be golden axe

  • Golden Axe.

  • RioHeroes(.)com --- LIVE Sept 25th --- MMA Fight League Built by Fighters --- Bet with BetCRIS(.)com

  • dude who hate grand theft auto damn ur stupid

  • wow golden eye lol

  • i hate grand theft auto.. otherwise great video

  • that was pretty shit, the song sucked, all the games were a million years old and how does sonic have violence in it lol

  • I grew up on some of those games >:[

    I'll kill you >.> (kidding)

  • Video games dont cause people to kill or train to kill. They are just games to play to have fun or simulate a situation or get rid of steam. Now some games are violent and people who are not mature might blame games but it is really them. But If anyone cant tell the damn difference between videogame violence and REALITY, then they dont need to play games.

  • WEEEH,if video games really make voilence no one on the whole world would stay alive

  • whats the name of this song?

  • Here comes the boom by POD

  • those old games and the only good one is san andreas

  • I agree they're just for fun, and same with me.. if video games REALLY caused violence then I would be a murderer lol

  • are the games in this vid supposed to be examples of violent games? if so then those are pretty pathetic for "violent" video games. ooo super smash bros! but im assuming they're not.

  • good cause. lame and inneffective vid

  • If you think video games are violent then you are a baby and you've never seen violence in real life.

  • you didn't have any of the really violent games like Manhunt or Doom 3, especially Manhunt

  • i say we put jack and adam in a room together for 5 hours and see who comes out

  • Don't ya love the whole video game violence. Watch our video, Game Over, to see what happens when you try to do these things in real life

  • how the hell... did mario get in ther?

  • he jumped a on a goomba. That might encourage fat children to squash each other? I dunno.

  • A real point to the entire bulls*** that we keep whining all the time...

    Finally some point of use!!!!

  • OMG!! that was SOO much more violent then Gears of War! i think i'm going to go kill someone!!!

seriously, if you can't tell the difference between a game and reality, dont play games and get some fucking help.

  • I think people would be a lot more willing to take all these "video games are not violent, fuck you Jack Thompson, etc." videos a lot more seriously if everyone stopped putting shitty metal songs in as the soundtrack.

  • thnks now iam gonna take a chain saw and my fast legs like sonic and run and kill ppl lol

  • People were violent before video games, and they will be when they are long gone. I believe people under 15 shouldn't be able to play (incredibly) violent games, but its the parents job to monitor what they think the kid can and cannot understand. Stop pushing the blame elsewhere and start raising your kids and seek help if your an adult whoc an't tell fact form fiction, because more than jsut games is likely to set you off.

  • Yes, after playing Mario, I have the overwhelming urge to go to school and leap on peoples heads to kill them... I mean, they're worht 100 points each, right?

  • lol this vid is over so y havent i killed any 1 yet i got done plaing RE4 so now im going to go on a killing spree if some 1 ask y i will say im killing the evil ppl games make h\me do it

  • Hunting puts much more of a desire to kill in people than video games do. HALF of America plays video games, and HALF of America does not shoot people. Barely anybody hunts, and most of the school shootings in America are done by hunters.

  • Hunting only makes someone desire to kill people if the person was mentally unstable in the first place. And, again, just because you hunt does not mean you will go into a school and shoot people.

Case in point: Eric Harris from the Columbine Massacre. He did the deed because the evidence obtained indicated that he's a psychopath; he felt superior to everyone else and felt entitled to preferrential treatment and was prone to violent intolerance.

  • Barely anybody hunts? The hunting industry is a very sucessful business. There are thousands of companies that specialize in hunting equipment and apparel. States make tons of money from hunters buying licenses. Also, just because you own a gun does not make you a hunter. You're claims are clearly baised and unlogical towards hunters. Please do research before bashing a group of people who enjoy doing things outdoors.

  • The reason why people search for scapegoats such as video games, music, movies, guns, books, knives, and what have you is simple: because it's simple.

The only problem is that it's too simple; indeed, it's convenient. Unfortunately, the real problem is neither simple nor convenient; it involves delving into a personality and truly finding out why someone would commit an act of violence. But, that's just too much work for politicians and the news.

  • PLAY ZUMA DE LUXE

    NO BRUTALITTY ! :P

  • Think it's quite funny that the USA is so scared of video violence and at the same time love guns and war.

Here in Sweden we almost never talk about it, the most people understand that it's fiction

  • Violence in media being tied to violence in life is something that's being tied together in many different countries; the United States is not exclusive.

Indeed, there are countries in Europe, such as the United Kingdom and Germany, that complain of the same thing.

However, the result ends up being the same in scientific research: the results are either inconclusive or contradictory at best.

  • Here's a thought...What's the excuse/scapegoat for all the violence that happened before video games were even created? Yeah, thought so.

  • Case in point, literature in schools.

We might as well ban "Beowulf" and "The Odyssey" from our school libraries and literature classes if we're going to ban violent media in any form. Forget the fact that those violent books are used in education.

  • no kidding, they might aswell just ban the old testimate while they're at it.

  • That's a silly question. Everyone knows there was no violence before Satan created video games.

  • Heheheh.

And everyone knows that leprechauns are all extinct!

  • comics, communism, rock n' roll, the beatles, cartoons, books .... you name it.
