LOL Is This Video a Prank?? I've Seen People with 200 subs and with 20 thousand views! It depends on the amount of views you get per day and how active you are! I mean how many videos you have and how many times do you upload per week! :)

What I had when I applied: Less than 500 subscribers Over 100 videos Just under 1 mil video views Under 100 friends All videos 4+ rating (I delete poorly performing videos) Approx 1500-2000 daily views I removed any videos that had any copyright-questionable material. It took around 2 months for approval. Don't reapply if you don't hear from them, you'll just put yourself at the back of the line again. -Note- It is against the rules to ask viewers to click on your ads

I have exactly 107 subscribers.

Is that good?

Not bad.. Apply and see what happens you can always re-apply if you dont get it.

It happens but its rare. You have to have some really great videos or some of them gone viral.

@mixcatcom Hehe until i become 18 ill have 1000000 videos and 100000 subscibers :DDDD So i quess youtube doesn't pay you anything, only that adsense thingy gives you money, youtube just alowes you to make banner and that stuff :) Tnx for making this video and for answering dperdik1 it really clears things up a bit. And 1 more thing, if i have 1 copyright strike can i still become yt partner (i have one on my other channel where i have much views)

So, lets say, if you have a total of 50.000 channel views and a total of 50.000 video views, can you apply then?

And if you get rejected do you have to wait to apply again?

But i just get sent to the YouTube home page when i go to youtube/partners, is it because i dont have enough views and subscribers?

Its a combo of both plus good content.

I checked out your channel.. Not bad but you need more subs then you are on your way.

Youtube has asked me to become partner,I want to fix my channel 1st before i accept so im not rejected. i have music and photos that dont belong to me in some of my videos. should i delete them or use audioswap on those videos?

If they asked you I think your in pretty good shape.

I would go for it and they will disable rev share on the ones that are not approved.

Ads are one of the annoying things about youtube. I've never clicked on one. I wonder what the numbers are, viewers/clicks.

Agreed but it does support the services. Without them they couldn't afford the servers that the videos sit on. My CTR or clickthrough ration is

0.73%

So for every 125 views I get a click.

I get 5,000-20,000 views per day.

They do pay for clicks and normally the ads are relative to what the video is about.  Lately not so much.

Becoming partner is not one of those black and white things. It's very subjective and can involve luck. There has been parters made with just 3 videos who joined 1 month prior and had less than 200 views a video. There have been partners made who got 30 hits a video with only 20 videos. Then there's those people who have huge views, tons of videos and get refused for partnership.

I heard that the modern Partner program pays almost nothing for many people and the big plus is longer videos.

Your right. But for the most part it is numbers.. I have talked to hundreds of people that have applied and this is what we have come up with. But your are very right, sometimes people that you would never think would get approved only with a couple vides and friends get right in.

Either way its a nice program and with the economy as it is, it sure helps.

I applied and was shot down for not enough quality content. LOL, not sure what they want from me as I have over 200 vids. I must not be purty enough. :o)

it's funny though, they have invited me to monetize three different vids and paid me for those, yet wont accept me as a full time partner. So go figure that one out. :o)

I am just now learning how to use adsense ads on my website. So I might have some questions later about that.

Hey I took a look at a lot of your older videos.. playing Xbox etc.. I didn't find your videos of particular interest. If they were were, after 3 years they would get more than a couple hundred views. NO OFFENSE MAN. JUST BEING OBJECTIVE :)

I'm just saying that almost everyone that posts videos has probably the subs and views that you do but some reason don't get partnership.

I do this for fun so am not interested in Partner.. i guess I'm just a proponent of fairness.

I love youtube because I meet lots of people with all types of views and conjectures.
