over the weekend I watched a documentary of Marlene's life and some clips of scenes of movies. Then I tried to do the same with other actresses. While some may have been more strikingly beautiful, none of them fascinate or inspire me the way this woman does. I'll stick with Marlene. :)
Marlene wie man sie nicht kennt. Sehr süsse Aufregung und der Wechsel zwischen englischem Singen und deutschem Fluchen ist fantastisch. Tolle Entdeckung!!
This is fantastic! Thanks for sharing. When I was in Berlin, I visited the film museum; where I saw other rare gems...such as her luggage collection. What a woman she was! Danke.
@maddye69 Maddy, I know you meant that with humor, but we should acknowledge that Marlene left Germany in the early 30's to pursue a Hollywood career. Hitler offered her the royal treatment if she would return but she refused unless she could bring back and work with her favorite director, Joseph von Sternberg, a Jew who escaped Nazi persecution. She became a US citizen and sang to our GI's during WW2.
What a phenomenal talent! I had to watch this over and over again. Natural born actress. Try not to fall in love with this woman - impossible.

Something about Marlene that words can`t describe.
This short film is way ahead of its time.
The comedy here is great.

Thanks for posting... I've always thought she was more gorgeous before she went to Hollywood. Proves my point.

what is she doing with her eyes?! it's very annoying and distracting and I wonder if she's doing it on purpose or not.

@jerona Her eyes are saying "I'm too damn good for this shitty song or this stupid screentest." Her eyes are right.
