I own a 2004 Spec V and 3rd gear kills the car....... i even do much better then my friends 215whp B20-Vtec on the first 60ft, but then he passes me, like ur friend seems to be doing with is prelude, nice video guys :)
@pFbSpecV I guess we will never know. The prelude has the better motor. Sure its heavier but once that vtec kicks in watch out. I use to own a 02 and with cams and tune I only made 181 whp tops. Its a fun car to drive around town because of the torque but once I would hit 100 it was dead flat.

If only the spec-v could shift at like 6900-7k rpm, they'd be so much faster. I'm sure with a good tuner, this could be done while picking up some HP as well as the much needed extra rpm's. I really liked the torque, and even the higher speed power, until I had to shift at 6200 rpm that is.
why r u being so rough with the gear shifter i own the same car and all you have to do it tap it in to place go drive a 02 mustang with a racing clutch v8 4.6 liters and u can treat the stick that way

You're probably able to get him off the line because he swapped out his tranny for shorter gears, which will give you less low end speed and more top end speed. Not sure why he did that really. If I were to swap out transmissions on my car [Mazda Protege 5] it'd be for much taller gears on through 4 and leave the 5th stock, or slightly shorter. More low end speed, faster acceleration is more fun for me because where I live, we have a lot of twisty roads. So having top end speed is pointless.
@balinne yes thats a good point u made. my gears are short with lots of low end and i love it. i just need a few mods to get the top end gain. and yes acceleration for twisty roads would be much better lol
@pFbSpecV Same with my Protege. It's a sport wagon and transmission is pretty nice with quick acceleration. I've only raced a few times in the two years of owning that car, and what I've found is that I can either pull away from a Mazda 626 V6. No, it's not a sport car and the only mod is a cold air intake, but it has 165 horse power where as mine has 130. So having 30 less horse power and still pulling away, to me, is pretty cool. And I'm not bragging, I'm just saying.
@balinne nice man! mines supposed to be 175 hp with 180 torque but my year dynos real off from those numbers. so i might be around 160 hp with 170 torque.
I like Spec-v's better. I used to have one and I've driven a prelude, the spec-v felt faster even though it wasnt due to its snappy throttle. To sum it up it was alot more fun to drive.....until I wrecked it

@pFbSpecV I went way tooo fast around a turn like an idiot, the tires broke free and I went into the dirt, once I was in the dirt the tires dug in and i rolled it 1 and a quarter times and landed on the drivers side.
Yeah I checked out some of your other vids, I saw that you put the DC sports 4-2-1 on your car and I was wondering if it messed up your air to fuel ratio because you deleted the cat along with the o2 sensor, didnt you?

No disrespect but you don't seem to know how to drive that well. Not watching the road to busy watching the tach listen to your engine man it tells you when to shift. But to each there own. Once you hear the engine changes sounds from the intake you only have like a few seconds before you need to shift :)

@PantstofryPWNZ its sick with a turbo stock yes but if i would buy a nissan stock turbo its got to be stock with about 300 hp because the qr can do that turbo and nissan needs to build something better than the engines now that can be boosted. i also think nissan wont do a 4 cylinder boosted with that much hp cuz then it will be quicker than the 370z and 350z. i think tho
@pFbSpecV If it's a 1.8 or 2.0 pushing 250hp, it still won't compete with a 370z stock. For someone like me who isn't going to tune their sentra a whole lot (intake, exhaust headers, not much else) a turbo would be fun. Look how well a 2.0T with 200hp sells in the GTI

@pFbSpecV Yeah, I don't REALLY mind the 07 to 11 but I definitely would prefer something more sporty. I hope NIssan listened to people and made it more sporty. I think they're worried about the regular Sentra being too sporty to be an economy car for the avg consumer... but the Civic looks somewhat aggressive and it sold well, so I hope they make it a little nicer
@PantstofryPWNZ yea nissan getting a lil crazy on there body syles but have you seen the newer 2012 si??? there gonna have the 2.4 cylinder i believe the tsx motor with 200 hp and 170 torque but redline is 7100 and almost as big as the accord coupe.
@pFbSpecV Yeah it's a joke. The torque was trash the last gen, and this gen still doesn't compete with many with only 170tq...
It kind of sucks really, because then Nissan really doesn't have a serious competitor to deal with.... so they don't have as much of an incentive to make a faster Spec V... unless they want to get ahead and blow Honda out of the water, which they definitely should.

@pFbSpecV It does, but the Gencoupe is a 4-seater... basically a Korean Camaro in V6 trim, it's a relative bargain. The 370z will beat it, but that's probably because it's a little more powerful and probably a little lighter. I love the 370z but the Gencoupe is pretty sweet, especially the engine note.
I wonder what's next... I sweat it's gonna be a smaller engine next time around... 340z? haha

@pFbSpecV I really hope so. That engine can be a beast...1.6 liters, they could easily make 200hp, I think they were satisfied with 188 for the Juke. I just really want to see Nissan go back to their roots and either make another great Sentra or make a RWD sportscar like the 240... They like having the sales base from the Altima, but they can retain that while making a great fun tuner.

even at that speed, it won't get a massive lead over the spec v. I respect si's. I'm a spec v owner myself, and i hate the redline, and manifold/precat problems on it. other than that it's not bad. oh and torque steer aaahaha

No disrespect but you don't seem to know how to drive that well. Not watching the road to busy watching the tach listen to your engine man it tells you when to shift. But to each there own. Once you hear the engine changes sounds from the intake you only have like a few seconds before you need to shift :)

@NStalk3 yea i do kno im horrible at it haha look at my other vids and you will see me run at the track and run horrible times for my mods but yea i watch my tach to try getting it as close to redline as possible. if i shift to early i drop out of my secondaries even worst as if close to redlining. if that makes sense.

@pFbSpecV Tito el Bambino is a puerto rican reggeaton singer. search him on you tube, you'll see. I have a Silver 2006 Spec V too, I am happy with it, the only mods are Intake from K&N and Tein Springs, however mine came with the brembo brake package. Take care.

@PantstofryPWNZ eh as far as i kno its a 1.6 turbo motor. if the 02 to 06 or 07 to 11 spec v were boosted they would eat the newer 1.6 turbo spec v.

@PantstofryPWNZ its sick with a turbo stock yes but if i would buy a nissan stock turbo its got to be stock with about 300 hp because the qr can do that turbo and nissan needs to build something better than the engines now that can be boosted. i also think nissan wont do a 4 cylinder boosted with that much hp cuz then it will be quicker than the 370z and 350z. i think tho

@pFbSpecV If it's a 1.8 or 2.0 pushing 250hp, it still won't compete with a 370z stock. For someone like me who isn't going to tune their sentra a whole lot (intake, exhaust headers, not much else) a turbo would be fun. Look how well a 2.0T with 200hp sells in the GTI

@pFbSpecV Yeah, I don't REALLY mind the 07 to 11 but I definitely would prefer something more sporty. I hope NIssan listened to people and made it more sporty. I think they're worried about the regular Sentra being too sporty to be an economy car for the avg consumer... but the Civic looks somewhat aggressive and it sold well, so I hope they make it a little nicer

@PantstofryPWNZ yea nissan getting a lil crazy on there body syles but have you seen the newer 2012 si??? there gonna have the 2.4 cylinder i believe the tsx motor with 200 hp and 170 torque but redline is 7100 and almost as big as the accord coupe.

@pFbSpecV Yeah it's a joke. The torque was trash the last gen, and this gen still doesn't compete with many with only 170tq...
It kind of sucks really, because then Nissan really doesn't have a serious competitor to deal with.... so they don't have as much of an incentive to make a faster Spec V... unless they want to get ahead and blow Honda out of the water, which they definitely should.

@pFbSpecV It does, but the Gencoupe is a 4-seater... basically a Korean Camaro in V6 trim, it's a relative bargain. The 370z will beat it, but that's probably because it's a little more powerful and probably a little lighter. I love the 370z but the Gencoupe is pretty sweet, especially the engine note.
I wonder what's next... I sweat it's gonna be a smaller engine next time around... 340z? haha

@pFbSpecV I really hope so. That engine can be a beast...1.6 liters, they could easily make 200hp, I think they were satisfied with 188 for the Juke. I just really want to see Nissan go back to their roots and either make another great Sentra or make a RWD sportscar like the 240... They like having the sales base from the Altima, but they can retain that while making a great fun tuner.

BUT as for the altima i believe i skimmed thru something saying there gonna be all wheel drive. i might be way wrong but whats the point?? the maxima is all wheel drive. and that 1.6 turbo has weaker displacements than the qr. i will message you the possible 2012 sentra and possible 2012 silvia.
