A lot of people in Pittsburgh disrespect basketball because we don't have a team and not as competitive in the sport. I disagree...........basketball is a great sport to play and get competitive with. Fun to watch, even funner to play. I live in Pittsburgh and I don't follow the NBA but I do follow the NCAA March Madness because our Pitt team is very athletic and tough to beat. I personally love the sport of basketball and wish it was more popular and same goes with lacrosse.

its just a game.. It doesnt matter where you live in the world.. If you practice enough and have enough talent.. anyone can be the best. what i love about european basketball is that most of the teams competing the euroleague can actually win it! undoubtly greek and spanish teams are a step forward but also russian, israeli, turkish and many other clubs can reach the final 4 and play nice and entertaining basketball! european basketball is about tactics and team skills rather than individual skills and many teams in the NBA depend on 1 or 2 players! nba is more of a show and i think thay have lost the point of the game!

well I have to say that nowadays, european teams CAN compete with NBA teams (Barcelona beat Lakers for example).
NBA players are more athletic and probably more skilled individually but european basketball is smarter than NBA ball and more about tactics, coaching and teamwork, opposite from the NBA way to play (1v1 "streetballing" almost all game long). in fiba2010 usa played extremely well as a TEAM and they kicked ass so u are still ahead when u play correctly =)

its just a game.. It doesnt matter where you live in the world.. If you practice enough and have enough talent.. anyone can be the best. So stfu cuz if these two leagues played one another and Euro League won.. NBA fans would prolly either shoot themselves, somebody else, or beat their wife. If the NBA won the game.. Euro fans would still stick by their team and simply appreciate the game.

what i love about european basketball is that most of the teams competing the euroleague can actually win it! undoubtly greek and spanish teams are a step forward but also russian, israeli, turkish and many other clubs can reach the final 4 and play nice and entertaining basketball! european basketball is about tactics and team skills rather than individual skills and many teams in the NBA depend on 1 or 2 players! nba is more of a show and i think thay have lost the point of the game!

@Nebuli93 No fan culture? Did you watch the 2007-2008 Warriors vs Mavericks playoff games? Oracle Arena was so loud you couldn't even hear the people next to you. If anything the Euro league doesn't have the fan culture of the NBA.

dude the athmosphere on that series was A M A Z I N G. but its not usual in the NBA. usually its just the lame "de-fence! de-fence!" on mild volume all game long.
check out some fans from teams like Partizan, Olympiakos, AEK Athens, Panathinaikos etc. etc.
they cheer like its the doomsday in EVERY SINGLE GAME, not just in the playoffs and the tightest games.
the player's skill levels are higher in the NBA, but european crowd kicks american's ass, period.

@Nebuli93 I have to admit that what your saying is true. It was just getting to me when people said that Euro League teams are better than NBA teams. But yeah, you're right, fans from Europe are pretty crazy and it can get loud. Being a Warrior fan myself and a fan of the NBA I'm going to advocate for us, but thank you for not being a cocky European and admitting that our talent is better. So I hope that we agree that NBA players are more talented but Euro League crowds are louder.

well I have to say that nowadays, european teams CAN compete with NBA teams (Barcelona beat Lakers for example).
NBA players are more athletic and probably more skilled individually but european basketball is smarter than NBA ball and more about tactics, coaching and teamwork, opposite from the NBA way to play (1v1 "streetballing" almost all game long). in fiba2010 usa played extremely well as a TEAM and they kicked ass so u are still ahead when u play correctly =)

@goldenstate2 dude in Europe it doesn't have to be the playoffs (bear in mind that the warriors had like a century to reach the playoffs so u would expect such a crowd) for the fans to go mental...the thing is that in Europe the fans do not stop singing at any time of the game not even when their team is losing...and this happens even if they are playing against the worst team of the league and the game won't change things in terms of the ranking...excuse me french I think you get the difference
