You could do this without infinite computing power but there would be errors. In fact there isn't even infinite computer power in the entire universe. And you would need infinite computing power just to simulate a tiny region of space. Its like when you use a calculator to divide 10 by 3. You get 3.3333333 until the calculator runs out of room. But the 3s actually go out into infinity. The calculator just doesn't have the computing power to calculate the infinite 3s. And neither could a computer
@MtownAC Eventually the computer would reach the limit of its power and it would have to cut the 3s off creating an error. If you've watched the movie "The Matrix" then this is where Neo comes in. You may remember Neo asked the architect why he was there. The architect answers stating that Neo was the sum of the remainder of an unbalance equation. He was talking about the errors that build up due to limited computing power. Neo exploited the errors to break the program rules. Just my opinion.
If we are living in an ancestor simulation, what happens when we "die"? Does the operator of this simulation "resurrect" us in the end? Are we willing participants in the simulation, or just background noise?
Infinite computing power alone wouldnt allow for this,
it would require an understanding of the human brain and human consciousness so exceptional that we would could recreate it in a programming language or whatever we use to interface with computers in the future.
I doubt anyone will be able to ever understand, let alone recreate, the thought process of a human.
Heres another example of people holding phd's and doctorates in fields that require you to just think up some bull shit, preferably some unprovable bull shit, announce it as the next big thing in intelligencia and then move on to thinking up some more unprovable bull shit. The unbelievable thing is that the people who churn out this nonsense scoff at people who have faith in God as our creator, yet willingly put their names to theorys that could literally come straight from a comic book!
@DelBluenose80 What makes your theory any less unprovable than ours? A man in the sky that always existed but we cant see him. Thats pretty unprovable. We're on equal grounds buddy.
@directedworld2 Im not saying its not but the faith people hold in that theory is often mocked by those who throw in with all things science. This is all i was trying to point out
@kelstewart Why would you even say that?My comment in no way states that the existant of God has been proven. The fact i have faith in God is my personal belief. The theories generated by people such as the ones in this video will most likely only be countered by even more outlandish theories by people in the same profession. My point over all is why people who throw in with these scientific types believe their ''stab in the darks'' are more credable than those who have faith in a higher power
the reason for life is to learn everything, become enlightened, become capeable to work or live in an advanced age where impossiblities are just tasks to be completed, the world of a super human immortal race. This is a simulation to train us to become perfect for the real world. If you fail, you are reborn and this cycle goes on until youve become perfect. Its more likethe movie matrix!

@modelZtrain im pretty sure you can find it on o.v. guide or if you have on-demand you can look it up on the science channel im pretty sure it was" threw the wormhole" the meaning of life ep.
This is on my mind every day. Just as a game console allows you to navigate through a city the "universe" allows you to navigate the world/etc and experience consciousness, mind blowing.
when you say this would be a fake universe I don't think it would be fake only just artifical

@DelBluenose80 This is why comic books are so goddamn cool ;)
So your trying to say "God as our creator" has been proven.
I see.
Honestly though... It doesn't take a Ph.D to understand what this video is saying.
Try to let go a little ;)

This is psych warfare. Don't listen to their BS theories about "this could be a simulation".
You've been watching too many movies. Go outside and climb a tree. Listen to the birds.
