@Kighlor The main reason people unsubscribed from Hellsing isn't because he liked the movie but primarily because of the way he presented the review and the fact that he has questionable tastes in movies. The problem with this review was that he was confusing "cheesy" with "quality". Just because a movie is "delightfully cheesy" or "PURRFECTLY corny" does not mean it is a good movie.

@AJAT800 Well, that could have applied to either (the '67 one was shit, too), but I was referring to the '06 version. Part of the problem was that I read the book a few years before watching the movie, and thought the book was great. Then, the movie comes out, and the pacing sucks, Bond was made an even bigger dick than in the book, and the movie keeps going 40 minutes after the book ended, and the movie's ending sucked on top of it.

Also, it hasn't recently become a routine. If you go all the way back to the start of this series, I was praising movies I enjoyed that had little merits or were critically panned. "A Serbian Film" was usually the go to film when people want to question my taste in movies before I uploaded this one.
@He11sing920 I have a Batman Anthology DVD set that just happens to include "Batman and Robin"; I saw "A Serbian Film" at my friend's house; and most recently, my father purchased the two "Transformers" sequels from Amazon. So there, this "big shot" pretty much answered your question.

Dude, how can you like this movie? This was one of the worst movies ever made. This movie made the Turkish movies look like "Lawrence of Arabia" and this was a multimillion dollar movie, not a cheap, low-budget picture.

Have to disagree with you on this one. My GF really loves movies with kick ass women as the hero and she even hates this one. Our expectations weren't high to begin with. Just an action movie. But it even fails at that. The fighting in it was horrible, the action scenes were god awful. It was hard to watch, the whole time we couldn't wait for it to end. It's pretty bad when my GF doesn't like it because she's pretty biased with movies like these, for example she likes Elektra and Ultraviolet.

Great review Emer! I have to say, as Sharon Stone being a bad actress, I don't know, I think some of the films she has been in are hit or miss. Still, I do agree, the role for her in Catwoman didn't seem to fit.

i wonder how much hate mail you're gonna get for liking this movie. I have usually herad NOTHIGN but bad thigns abotut his movie and the few people that DO like it, usually get flamed to death. I knwo the movie quite well and have seen it several times... mainly because my sister owns and LOVES it.
I had tried to watch this movie, knowing full well it was supposed to be cheesy, but it was just awful. Not even 'so bad it's fun to mock' but just bad bad. I had to skip through most of it at least hoping to see some good battles, but it fell short in every way. I love B movies, but it couldn't even do cheese properly. I would put it somewhere with the Chun Li movie. Too far from the source material for fans to enjoy, and too boring to make fun of.

This film might have been better if they called it "Panther Woman" at least you'll know it isn't Celina Kyle/Catwoman and fans/moviegoers wouldn't have been suckered into seeing a film having nothing to do with Catwoman.
@AJAT800 Only difference between Dragonball Devolution and Catwoman is that Catwoman didn't cause me to make the company that made it out to be evil manipulative bastards. At least Warner Bros. has made up for Catwoman and a lot of the other crappy DC Comics based films. Fox may be making up for their sins against Marvel, Video Games and Anime with an R-Rated Deadpool film as confirmed by Rob Leifeld who saw 8 minutes of test footage. I watched Catwoman at the time I don't really care about things based on the comics. I find this movie bad but not that bad. Couldn't avoid the fact that the move is boring. Fucking boring

@Kighlor The main reason people unsubscribed from Hellsing isn't because he liked the movie but primarily because of the way he presented the review and the fact that he has questionable tastes in movies. The problem with this review was that he was confusing "cheesy" with "quality". Just because a movie is "delightfully cheesy" or "PURRFECTLY corny" does not mean it is a good movie.

Part of the problem was that I read the book a few years before watching the movie, and thought the book was great. Then, the movie comes out, and the pacing sucks, Bond was made an even bigger dick than in the book, and the movie keeps going 40 minutes after the book ended, and the movie's ending sucked on top of it.
Replacing baccarat with hold 'em didn't help matters either

Have to disagree with you on this one. My GF really loves movies with kick ass women as the hero and she even hates this one. Our expectations weren't high to begin with. Just an action movie. But it even fails at that. The fighting in it was horrible, the action scenes were god awful. It was hard to watch, the whole time we couldn't wait for it to end. It's pretty bad when my GF doesn't like it because she's pretty biased with movies like these, for example she likes Elektra and Ultraviolet.

Mentioning that you are a fan of corny flicks, do you like the godzilla movies? 'cause as far as i can even remember, there are some scenes in some of the more older ones that are pretty corny, but heck, they're still awesome movies.

I had tried to watch this movie, knowing full well it was supposed to be cheesy, but it was just awful. Not even 'so bad it's fun to mock' but just bad bad. I had to skip through most of it at least hoping to see some good battles, but it fell short in every way. I love B movies, but it couldn't even do cheese properly. I would put it somewhere with the Chun Li movie. Too far from the source material for fans to enjoy, and too boring to make fun of.

I wouldn't even pay a penny to purchase this film and I'm sorry if a movie has the name of an established fictional character in the title I want to see that character. This film might have been better if they called it "Panther Woman" at least you'll know it isn't Celina Kyle/Catwoman and fans/moviegoers wouldn't have been suckered into seeing a film having nothing to do with Catwoman.

@AJAT800 Only difference between Dragonball Devolution and Catwoman is that Catwoman didn't cause me to make the company that made it out to be evil manipulative bastards. At least Warner Bros. has made up for Catwoman and a lot of the other crappy DC Comics based films. Fox may be making up for their sins against Marvel, Video Games and Anime with an R-Rated Deadpool film as confirmed by Rob Leifeld who saw 8 minutes of test footage.
