  • My grandpas favorite song love it

  • They were the days.

  • i've always been a "rascals" fan .now and forever..love you guys ! you sound great !!! . best memories ever!!

  • Is that Felix Cavaliere?

  • @pyannaguy Nope. Only original members here are Gene Cornish (harmonica/guitar/backing vocals) and Dino Danelli (drums)

  • Still groovin too.

  • @CarmenGoldberg my wife and I groovin. if you get my drift

  • I'm still groovin..

  • i've looking for this song to appear in the yyoutube... thanks for posting

  • Aaahh! ~ When MUSIC Was Music & Made You Feel Good -3 Not Full of Todays VULGAR Wanna-be Lyrics ...

  • woah!!! I didn't expect these guys to be white... at all. wow.

  • dude, you live in canada, who cares and I pay for my cars. try a new approach, you have boy issues, another words, your a boy hoping tobe a man

  • love love love

  • I was In this era..and never became a 'hippie'...my mom says I was more bohemian..laid back w/o the drugs....btw: let's not talk about the 21st century he he...love love this era and this song!

  • super

  • The original lead singer for The Young Rascals was Felix Cavaliere.

  • Who is the lead singer? He's great!

  • Gene Cornish...Rochester NY native!

  • Makes you feel like kickin' back, take you're shoes off and CHILLLLLLL...........

  • Actually, I think the original four performed together in 1997 when they were inducted into the Rock and Rroll Hall of Fame. Forgot about that. So the Tribeca fundraiser was the second time in 40 years that they performed together. Felix lives in Nashville now and still tours. In fact, he is going to be in Vegas this Friday. You can find his full tour schedule on his website.

  • Where's Felix? Well, the original four stopped performing together in 1970. Dino and Gene later formed the New Rascals, and Felix formed Felix Cavaliere's Rascals. Dino, Gene, and Felix reunited briefly in the late 80s, but Eddie didn't join them and wasn't interested in doing a reunion tour. However, the 4 of them performed together in 2010 at a fundraiser in Tribeca at Stevie Van Zandt's request. First time in 40 years. There are clips of the show floating around the net and on You Tube.

  • Nice clip, but that's definitely not Felix Cavaliere. In fact, I heard a radio interview where Felix was complaining that the New Rascals had "some bald guy" that everybody thought was him. Eddie sang the lead on their ballads, but Felix sang the lead on Groovin', It's a Beautiful Mornin', I've Been Lonely Too Long, and Good Lovin'. Eddie had a smooth voice (check out How can I Be Sure), but Felix had that rough, throaty, sexy sound. Still does, in fact.

  • @123walkabout

    Where is Felix Cavaliere?

  • This is one of my old time favorites of the 60's. It's very soulful. Isn't it?

    The Young Rascals were fantastic!

  • These guys bring back memories of my 1969 Dodge Swinger, and Bob's Big Boy! I also loved my then girlfriend Marcia.

    Thanks for sharing this song.

  • checkin out some TOmmy James and came across this smokin song, what a great memory, guess I'm doing the 60's theme tonight, peace

  • This is not the Young Rascals....this is the Rascals....the new band. Felix aint here...a nice song, a nice try, but there aint nothing like the real thing ...baby.

  • GOD BLESS the Vietnam vets

  • This is really nice , but he ,s no Felix Cavaliere, but I like it.

  • wow, the best time in rock n roll history from 1950 to 1971.

  • love

  • What a band. What a song. You shot me down guys.

  • this is classic and great music by a great band...Gene Cornish lives in my hometown of Rochester NY and we love him...

  • It was great to be alive at this time, not so good now cos if you were alive like me at this time you must be in your 60s now. but dont worry we will soon be dead. :-) lol

  • wow, the summer of love!!!!!

  • Hey Felix (Rascals) Great.! chops....Iam still Groovin.! ..all the Best

  • That voice is in good shape.

  • Hope that you can take a minute and enjoy this song.. One of my favorites

  • there are some songs in history that are just PERFECT and NEVER get old but only better. THIS is one of those songs. It was way before my time, but i remember my grandmother playing this song on saturday mornings as she fixed brekfast and read the paper. NOTHING but TERRIFIC memories!

  • Great to see you guys singing, sounds great!

  • One of the bits of music you'd want on a desert island

  • No one sang Groovin like Felix

  • You sound so wonderful..Never grows old ,you guys sound great...don't ever stop GROOVIN

  • That's FC singing? Where's his hair? LOL

  • fd4519.fantástica música,eu toquei este som na batera,década de 60.Obrigado por vocês existirem e deixarem este som marcado definitivamente no som pop que alegrou vários corações e encantou o mundo.Parabéns.

  • Felix, I recall sang you and me endlessly. Tell me If I am right?

    Serenity.....Raven Black

  • Really great record that stands the test of time as great now as when it first came on the radiogram in the 6th form common room in 1967

  • The Rascals singing "Groovin" live. They still got it.

  • Love this song. Yes I remember Leslie Uggams Show. She was also the one who played Kizzy in Roots. Very good actress. This song really makes me relax.

  • Gene and maybe Dino are the only two Rascals in this version. The Rascals never used a bassist onstage either. Felix would play bass on the organ with his feet ala Ray of the Doors. Leslie was a reference to Leslie West who was a friend of the band from their shuffling days on Long Island. Some day I'll post why Felix got the vocals on most of their hits instead of Eddie.

  • remember daytona trips in 67, 68 to see uncle tom at the motel and the basketball games in the gheto? How about lunch at the Fatman's all you can eat chicken joint? Boys that all you can eat.....

  • am radio, earphones in, covers over your head - best of growing up

  • @bostonirishpunk wow...SO funny u mentioned that!! AM radio late at night... back then there was ONLY one earplug...LOL and listening to this music with covers over your head... so RIGHT...best times when growing up...nice to remember things like that.......

  • Wow! he still lugs the Hammond around.

  • This was THE song of the 60's. Manchester. Coffee bars. Beat Clubs. Soul. Growing up. Unforgettable.

  • Groovy Man!!!!

  • Actually, Eddie sang the original. Felix sang lead most of the time, bu ton this song, it was Eddie.

  • @BITEBOYBAND Uh, no. Felix sang lead on Groovin'. I'm 51 years old, and i've been listening to The Rascals since i was seven. Felix and Eddie have distinctly different voices. Eddie sang lead on two hits: I Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore and How Can I Be Sure. If yo need further proof, check the Groovin' album; it lists the lead singer on each track.

  • @tomrom7 you are so RIGHT!.. I am 55 years old, saw them a number of times... Eddie NEVER sang Groovin... Felix all the way.. also, theres a lot of people who think Felix sang " you and me and Leslie... Dont know if people remember a singer named Leslie Uggams... well she had a music special on TV, late 60's ... Rascals were on and Felix ACTUALLY sang " you and me and Leslie".. .Leslie smiled, was a nice ad-lib moment.....Felix AND Eddie were grinning too, knowing they surprised her......

  • Really nice. Thanks!

  • IT'S A SUNDAY SONG

  • This was a huge hit in Cannes in summer 1967. Beautiful weather, beautiful people, you heard it everywhere.. the perfect holiday tune.

  • where is all the good music today...why cant it all be like this simple yet extrordinary.

  • Who are these guys? That's not Felix on keys - I think Eddie sang the song anyway. That looks like Gene on harp, but not from 60s, maybe the 80s. Where's Dino? Who are these guys?

  • @BITEBOYBAND Its Gene and Dino with a Bass player and an organist sound alike that has been touring with Dino and Gene for a long time and they put on a better Rascals show than the one with Felix and nobody else. This was recorded in approx 2006 and they still tour. Catch them as The New Rascals if you can find them. Very worthwhile covers of their originals.

  • @BITEBOYBAND No that's not Felix on keys. The only original members here are Dino and Gene. Felix sang the original.

  • @tomrom7

Eddie sang the original. Felix sang lead on most of the hits, but not on this one. It was Eddie.

  • This song is 43 years old and it is a classic; plus they still sound

    AMAZING!! Thanks for sharing!!

  • Where's Felix?

  • PenNatter your absolutely right

  • You and me ENDLESSLY.....not 'and Leslie'

  • Where's Miles?

  • Where's Miles?

  • not the Young Rascals, they're the New Rascals

  • More of the Old Rascals but still a classic song !!!

    (we all get old) .

  • se vc era ouvinte da difusora guarulhos sp brazil certamente ouvia esta canção...e muitas outras......lembra do waltinho ferreira....

  • Got that right Pen. True talent singing songs about true feelings. Not manufactured mindless bull.

  • you and me and "leslie"に聞こえます。

  • @tomox125 best line! haha. that was supposed to be a play on words/sound right? "you and me endlessly" and that ^

  • I hate to say it brentsexy but why in the hell would you want to associate yourself with hippies?

first, they were dirty, second they had no respect for anyone, military ,police parents including and third it produced the likes of saul alynski ,bill ayers and charles manson..

I'd rather be a conservative with respect for my elders wearing a suit and tie as was so popular from the turn of the century until liberalism started 1967ish.. don't be a liberal it's disgusting..

  • I wish Felix produced the supergroup Cream but this new radical rascal guy has a good voice but it lacks the coolness of Felix's. I am not into soul music unless it's the 60s but this song just lacks a certain soul. They found a guy with a voice close to Felix's but they missed that he sucks.

  • What makes you think this isn't Felix? Looks like him to me, just older.

  • @emilydillon80 That bald guy is Not Felix. He sings fine, but he's not Cavaliere, that's for sure.

  • Such a beau ! Thanks for posting this classic ! Awesome !

  • I had the biggest crush in Eddie!!

  • new rascals, not young rascals. have a brain.

  • Great song!! Love it!!

  • these are not Rascals...but they're damn good!

  • I wish I was a Hippie... Missed the best Era ever

  • @BrentSexy You can still be a Hippie.

It`s a state of mind, not a state of timeline... ;)

  • Hellyeah. But live it, still fight for, peace, love, freedom, violentless. Never forget, more than ever.

  • Brilliant!!!! x

  • Ahhh Absolutely Love This Song ! 5*s Thankyou mission & 60soldies....Anita.

  • a true classic !!!!

  • Guys, I am from Brazil so I do not have memories about this song... but still great very good grovin...

  • MAGICAL !!!!

  • I used to play this 8 track in my 1964 chevy II with my black friends and they couldn't believe it wasn't a black group.

  • Sang this with a bro of mine to a packed mess in camp clarke, kosovo. Good times...

  • takes me back to being a kid and not knowing the evils of the world yet...summer time w/parents..but still remember seeing vietnam war clips the war on the nightly news...nonetheless, great song.

  • Yeah this is THE song that makes you want to go back to the 60s. BUT i DON'T think that is the original lead singer and writer - Felix and some long Italian last name. Am I wrong? His voice lacks the same "soul" and he looks different .. I don't know... ??

  • @11xzxzxz papilardi...this is the "new rascals"

  • @11xzxzxz Cavaliere...papilardi was in mountain and produced cream

  • im 19 and i love this song i wish i can travel back to 60s this generation sucks

  • i want 60's back

  • Actually I am looking at Gene Cornish and Felix C. Don't know who the bass is (Rascal's had no bass other than Felix's bass pedal work) and I can't figure out where the conga'

s are coming from. Eddie would have been playing the and bg vocals. The vocal backs are good here. But without Dino on drums...well. Love these guys anyway.

  • its not a girl named leslie the words are "you and me endlessly"

  • For many many years I thought they were singing "you and me and Leslie" then my brother set me straight on the lyrics.

  • Well at least this is a performance by the original guys in later years although I was really Jones'in for the original recording instead of just a cover.

  • leslie is a cool name. it feels nice to say when you're a wee bit high, too. leslie. umm. yup, go home and make out some for a few hours or so.

  • too bad the album version has been pulled. there's a version where they did a promo vid in nyc central park to 'groovin'' and it just blows cool smoke. wish i had downloaded it.

  • Brings back so many beatiful memories of how america was in the late 60's. & 70's? Bazooka gum, GI Joe, snowball fights, egg cream & butter roll, now & later, remember blow pop....yes!

  • Reminds me of the sweeter days when things were simple and life uncluttered.

  • @PenNatter DOESNT IT JUST JUST MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD HAPPY DAYS

  • @PenNatter for sure makes me feel the same funny how such simple music has that affect hard to listen to music these days and feel the same

  • @PenNatter true... and im from this era (well the 90s.... born in the 80s) and I cant stand it........ fuckin the 60s was bomb....... so graceful.....

  • @codehendrix it all wasn't all love, peace, lsd, and groovin. it was a terrible period in this countries history

  • @hotmn4u how so? so many revolutions... so much good music.....

  • @codehendrix unemployment, poverty, rioting, unjust police war, assinations

  • @hotmn4u were u a hippie........... but the music was the best then

  • @codehendrix second best music in history, cheap drugs and cheap women!!!! LOL!!!!!

  • @hotmn4u just stressed out, my daughter gave me another grand child

  • @codehendrix you want the list, send me an e-mail. you might be suprised about my fav. songs

  • @hotmn4u can ya send me a list of your fav. songs love to see that list

  • @hotmn4u Only if you read the papers. Much more peaceful than today. If you disagree; you were't around then. and at age 21, I paid cash for a new car, got a house in Vancouver for $2000 down f.p. 18,000. 1966, great year. Today nobody buys a house for 2 years income. Unemployment has always been with is . so have opportunities for them with ambition

  • @skaha77 wow, lets see, your living in canada in a dump, Iam living at the beach and driving a 50,oo us dollar car.. LOL

  • @hotmn4u My, you are impressive

  • @skaha77 your right

  • @hotmn4u OK so you steal BMW's and sleep on the beach. Got ya. OBTW I ahve spend a few winters in LaJolla, just in case you think we are all paupers who live in igloos. do you know wherre Vancouver is? Makes LA and Southern Cal look totally Ugly (except when it rains, which is 80-100 days a year)

  • @hotmn4u Yeah, not like today with it's drive by shootings, teen suicides, gangster rap, terrorism, total moral depravity, homos adopting your children ... man, it was a slice of paradise. ASK ANYONE WHO IS OVER 60

  • This song was no.16 in the world-year-end-charts in 1967

  • awesome song, love it.

  • wow...this song always reminded me of a girl named Leslie in junior high school...you and me "endlessly" makes a lot of sense...doesn't take away from the greatness of the song.

  • Nice version!

  • It still sounds like "you and me and Leslie" to me.

  • You and me endlessly.

  • I've heard it since it was recorded and that's what it sounds like to me too.

  • Question is: is Leslie a man or a woman?

  • Really really fucking awsome they are icons with their hits .

  • people , people stop bickering about whose better and whose best..this is just pop music after all and many artists summed up facets of what the 60s were about.....i love them all........the rascals lps were spotty but they made great material throughout thier whole career....... few 60s artists sing as good as felix today.........hey, best unknown cut by any band: the song 'deaths reply' from SEE: sounds like motown meets saucerful of secret era pink floyd......someone post it, please.

  • my dad always tells me when he was boot camp in the marines in 67 he had this on a 45 and played all the time and so the guys got fed up with the song and they took it from him and he never saw it again

  • doesn't surprise me at all

  • Ha ha ha ha ha ha nice one

  • Love this,roll on Summer.KTF

  • Still, "Feel Good" music after all these years...AHA

  • Groovin...He still sounds the same..Great tune

  • i was 12 when this came out-it is nice because they don't rush the song like so many concert songs are.they are GROOVIN' !!!!!

  • Felix Cavaliere is the BOMB. And he still sounds the same!

  • One of the most underrated musicians in rock history.

  • come on people let's get groovin' it may be 2009 but life and music still carry us the same way!!!!!!!

  • I hate Lady GAGA!!!!

  • Still groovin in 2009!!!!

  • Felix looks like my attorney. LOL!

  • Felix Cavaliere at his best!

  • nobody sings this song like Felix...sorry

  • Finally...this is the version I remember from the olden days. I was trying to show my 6 year old the song I was singing around the house.

  • Cool Blood. I can pick flowers to this song

  • i did grow up in the 60`s ..as a little lad who liked music.. what a great time.. this just about sums up the 60`s.. brilliant lovely times.

  • no fucking way did these guys sum up the 60's dat was hendrix's job

  • the music not the group for summing up the sixties!!!

  • ya and those guys made the music

  • that type of music ..was very 60`s... and to me summed up the 60`s this actual group only had 2 songs!! beatles and rolling stones were big groups then .. still are really!!

  • its songz like this that makez me wish that i grew up in the 60z!!! absolutely timeless!!

  • '67, I was 13. We sang this and "It's a Beautiful Morning" walking to the bus from school. With all the mess going on and the hopes and fears I have for my grandchildren, I can play this, and many others from this time, and tell them; there is GOD.

  • I was 3...humm. They played it for a very long time, cuz I remember it. and It's a Beautiful Morning." My brain cells are glad I missed out on the full 60s experience.

  • Smokey Robinson got the idea for his song Cruisin, driving to Motown studio when this song came on the radio! and the rest they say is! HISTORY.

  • Well I recognize the lead singer and the guy playing harmonica from the original line up . What about the others ?

  • Only the guitarist, Gene, and the drummer, Dino are original Rascals.

  • ALBUM DE 1967

  • Comment removed

  • i hum this song in my head or play it on my ipod when im stoned goin down the crowded avenue

  • i love the young rascals aha but then again eddie brigati is my unlce so i grew up listening to all their music =]

  • Great song.

  • my sister was living in new york in '67 still is,i would have loved to have experienced the hippy stuff, although i did see a bit of it in central park in 1970,abeit the tail end of it,good tho'

  • I was all of ten in 67. Even then I knew this was a great song.

  • omg! i love this song!!! its been a good few years searching for this song. haha i heard this wen i was 8 which was like 2002. reminds me of my first love haha idk why. just has a beautiful feeling to it =]]]]]]]]]
