  • The lone Hindu guy in the stands reminds me of D'Nesh D'Souza if he were around during Victorian times and would have referred to his colonial Brit masters as 'Sahib.' But today's version he is a 'cocoanut' of a tool for the far-right of the Retardican Party. Shameless. If you are put off by me making a political attack on a music site, TOUGH !!!! By the way, I do like the song !!!!!

  • I love to see people cover Kinks songs because it honours them and keeps their songs in circulation. However, like covering the Beatles, it's a lost cause. There's no way it will be better than The Kinks'. This one is a good effort though.

  • @DarknessOfFuturePast i say this song pays rightful justice to its source, adding an interesting spin to it and not just reproducing it. i'd say right about the same for the raincoats' lola. though i agree with you, it's certainly no pic nic covering a kinks' tune

  • @DarknessOfFuturePast A lost cause to you, p'rhaps, but personally I significantly prefer this to the Kinks' original.

  • @DarknessOfFuturePast ..... while for the most part I agree with you......I think Joe Cocker's cover of with a little help was infinately better than the Beatles own version so there are exception to the rule

  • Another sweet cover..
