i guess a lot of people agree this aint an ankle death! ankle death's with the other leg and you start off as if you're doing a whiplash but instead of lifting your left foot to catch the frame, you keep it on the peg and catch the bike by the right pedal with the right foot. i used to love doing that trick but i could never do a whiplash :-(

because you shift your back ankle on the peg when switching from riding backwards to forwards.

actually i believe its the front ankle, the name comes from. You look in the last clip you can see it more clearly. The ankle on the front peg gets trapped between the frame and the front tire when the bike comes back around. If you leave your ankle in there when the bike comes completely around, you will get a nasty tire rub burn, hence the name ankle death.

ankledeath is like that but its a full frame rotation and you jump on to the frame

they call it ankle death because your ankles are prone to getting caught between the frame and the tire thus leaving epic bruises and tire burns
