Wondeful performance! I always preferred the full band version of this one like this one and the one on his 1993, 2 CD "Live" album. Thank you for sharing!
Saw him twice: 1977, SLC, & 1984, LA Greek... The slickest suit in '77 (white), & the kindest, most musical & rhythmic & sweet-bald demeanor i've ever seen... a 'crazy' man, gone saner than any world ever built.
Maybe the world has always been mad. But it seems like it's really falling apart these days like never before. Then, you get James Taylor and a bunch of pros behind him, a respectful audience, and a timeless song to calm you down. It also helps that I'm on two glasses of wine and a Vicodin. God, that sounded good. Thanks James.
Seen him several times thru the years, love singing along. Once was on first row at the Houston Symphony!- nothing will ever top that! Then met him outside after the Concert & got picture w/him, etc.! Real nice man.
I wish people would take age out of the equation. Yes, I'm young, I love JT's music, but let everybody be who they want to be. And please stop talking about generations, just enjoy the music. :)
Every day I listen to the Carole King and James Taylor Live at The Troubadour Album during my commute from Quincy, MA on the subway train to Boston, MA. It's a shame that the younger generations (my generation) doesn't see how amazing your music really is.
@RIT268 I think you are soo right, I was born 2 decades after this man wrote his famous songs and whenever something goes wrong in my life i always have good ol James to turn to. My generation should open their eyes to real music and put down their useless cussing filled and innapropriate rap and listen to true artists!
@jmoneyt23 I'm 25 it was a life long goal to see him in concert- i did this year, along with carol king. It was a life chaning experience. There is no one better-
I like this song too (one I will certainly have a go at now I have the backing track.) His guitar skills are sorely under-rated by so many people; I swear, that on some of his original scores, it's as if he has extra fingers. A great singer/songwriter and a *genious* guitar player to-boot! Thank you so much for sharing this vid and 5*'s all day long for me!!

I think he doesn´t need background singers and music. He´s great as a real folk singer.
Rachelmariaaa 2 years ago
thanks for the upload pal.. did he really play only about 15 songs in this concert?
attybong 2 years ago
Yes ... it was a concert at a festival so only about 1 hour or 1,5 hour.
