  • Wondeful performance! I always preferred the full band version of this one like this one and the one on his 1993, 2 CD "Live" album. Thank you for sharing!

  • If I ever get married, I want what those two have at 1:48

  • A legend allways!! Respect James !

  • feeling all of 54 but living the life thru your wonderful music

  • Saw him twice: 1977, SLC, & 1984, LA Greek... The slickest suit in '77 (white), & the kindest, most musical & rhythmic & sweet-bald demeanor i've ever seen... a 'crazy' man, gone saner than any world ever built.

  • Saw him in reno in... I wanna say 1997. I was only six at the time.

Best concert of my entire life. To this day I can sing along to nearly every song hes ever written.

I love James Taylor. His voice always brings tears to my eyes.

  • Maybe the world has always been mad. But it seems like it's really falling apart these days like never before. Then, you get James Taylor and a bunch of pros behind him, a respectful audience, and a timeless song to calm you down. It also helps that I'm on two glasses of wine and a Vicodin. God, that sounded good. Thanks James.

  • Seen him several times thru the years, love singing along. Once was on first row at the Houston Symphony!- nothing will ever top that! Then met him outside after the Concert & got picture w/him, etc.! Real nice man.

  • AND I FEEL FINE NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish people would take age out of the equation. Yes, I'm young, I love JT's music, but let everybody be who they want to be. And please stop talking about generations, just enjoy the music. :)

  • @ArowanaVV i luv ur comment,So,So true :)

  • glad to live life in his time. beautiful music. more power!

  • I love this song very much!

  • Our wedding song!!

  • Every day I listen to the Carole King and James Taylor Live at The Troubadour Album during my commute from Quincy, MA on the subway train to Boston, MA. It's a shame that the younger generations (my generation) doesn't see how amazing your music really is.

    You are the best James!

  • @RIT268 I think you are soo right, I was born 2 decades after this man wrote his famous songs and whenever something goes wrong in my life i always have good ol James to turn to. My generation should open their eyes to real music and put down their useless cussing filled and innapropriate rap and listen to true artists!

  • Outstanding, thanks for posting.

  • Beautiful rendition of a great song -- and I love the couple at 1:48-1:50...

  • @yue55 They are who he is singing about .... I hope.

  • just amazing. i need to get to one of his concerts before he doesnt do them anymore

im only 22 but i wish i was around when he first started

  • @jmoneyt23 I'm 25 it was a life long goal to see him in concert- i did this year, along with carol king. It was a life chaning experience. There is no one better-

  • Really beautiful song, and lyrics that really captures relationships

  • Fukcen love this man and his music.

  • beautiful song. Can see that it puts in the heart of this song

  • yes truly beautiful lyrics, and really captures true love

  • this is one of the greatest love songs I ever heard. you have to live it to understand it. it could apply to any loved one in your life. thank you.

  • Svetla I love you ... and James is freaking one of my favorite artists .

  • new guitar eh! anyone know how many olson sj's he owns?

  • @doubleudeejaytee i thinks he's got 2 sj's (1 with cutaway), a dreadnaught, a parlor model, the one he's using here and .... counting... he he

  • I think he doesn´t need background singers and music. He´s great as a real folk singer.

  • thanks for the upload pal.. did he really play only about 15 songs in this concert?

  • Yes ... it was a concert at a festival so only about 1 hour or 1,5 hour.

  • Well done, they should have turned up his mic though

  • From his very first album,"James Taylor".

    Thanks Erik. 5*

  • I like this song too (one I will certainly have a go at now I have the backing track.) His guitar skills are sorely under-rated by so many people; I swear, that on some of his original scores, it's as if he has extra fingers. A great singer/songwriter and a *genious* guitar player to-boot! Thank you so much for sharing this vid and 5*'s all day long for me!!

    ~F~

  • totally agree with" genious guitar player"!!

  • One of my all time fave JT songs... so beautiful! Thanks for sharing it with us!

  • genio
