I have fond memories of meeting Mr Ackerman in the late 1970s at more than one science fiction conventions. I have his autograph on issue 100 of Famous Monsters of Filmland, which was one of the best magazines around at that time.
He was a charming man who genuinally took time to speak with me. He was a classy man, who is deeply missed.
I wonder what happended to his movie effects; I hope that they found a decent home.
Another testiment to what a dear man Uncle Forry was. This is a sweet little video. I was a fan, but we were also friends. And as an old friend it gives me comfort and a warm glow to know that he continued to receive so much pleasure from the company of his fans and admirers. No medicine or treatment could ever do as much for this man's heart as did the love and attention he deservedly received until the day he died.
